It wouldnt have worked otherwise... although I guess Marvel could make another nation that is a different type of homogenous. Anyway, it also did not bother me one bit that it was a predominately black cast. I liked that they incorporated several tribes into the story.

I got lucky because my situation is the opposite. My girls family seems to genuinely like me, so I enjoy my times with them. Theyre always cooking for me and trying to do favors or whatever for me, Lol. With my own family, my Dad is my mentor and my Mom always has my back. My bro is my best friend. I see all these people at least once a week, but I wish I could see them more. I know this isnt how it is for others, so I never take it for granted. Since your girlfriend already knows how you feel, either shes going to do something about it or you will. Good luck.

It depends a lot on how much you value your relationship with your parents and hers. I get along extremely well with mine and start to miss them after a few days. Visiting 150 times in four years only averages out to one visit every 10 days. That is not a lot at all, again, if you care about those people. Clearly you dont. Thats not a bad thing, just realize that this is going to continue driving a wedge between you and your girlfriend. She will resent you for it, or most likely already does.

BP is one of the best fighters in the Marvel universe. I doubt Blade can even take on Cap, meanwhile T'Challa can solo the Fantastic 4.

You remember that Squirrel Girl has defeated Thanos, right? And that The Punisher outsmarted and beat Daredevil, Spider Man and Wolverine working together? Black Panther, like any other comic character, can take on the XMen, Fantastic Four or The Avengers if the writer needs him to do that for plots sake. The Fantastic Four can stand toe to toe with Doctor Friggen Doom and heralds of Galactus.

If I were betting, my money would be on Blade, if he had something to even the odds against Black Panthers movie armor, which he doesnt even have (or didnt before anyway) in the comics.

Meh, Blade is a badass because he hunts vampires and does most things by himself. Hes got the one sidekick, who is also a badass, but he doesnt have to rely on an entire kingdom to finance his operations. Blade has also been fighting much longer, so I think hes more skilled. Give Blade a vibranium sword or whatever can cut Black Panthers armor, and theres no way he would lose in a fight against Black Panther.

I pretty much agree with you. Black Panther does not need to connect to the overall arc to still be a good movie. It can stand on its own. Im hoping to see it soon, then I can participate in more discussions. There has got to be at least a few nods to the upcoming Infinity War.
