This is very true. My daughter can be exhausting but she is so fun to be around. I can be extremely angry and just one little smile from her will make me forget about whatever it was that bothering me.

Going to take her to Disneyland Shanghai in October, can't wait to see her reaction.

Hold her tight, bro. Enjoy these days with her because you'll never get this time back and it goes so fast. Sorry if you've already heard that a million times.

Btw, you should post pics or at least update when you go to Disney. I've never been to that one.

we need to combat this outrage culture bullshit

Good luck with that.

Even here on CE there are tons of members who posted fair next when people were being fired or kicked out of school years ago. Some of us knew this outrage would be weaponized to the point that it would become a common tactic, but most just laughed and mocked the concerns. Well, now here we are, and people are frantically deleting their posts from years and years ago, but its too little too late. And were starting to see special pleading, where people are making excuses for celebrity B, even though they joined the charge to tear down celebrity A. This offensive tweet isnt really offensive because they totally didnt mean it. But that other tweet from that person I dont like? Clearly, they meant that, so hang em. Nope. You cant do double standards without looking like a hypocritical jackass. So, yeah, good luck getting the outrage culture under control. I think that ship has sailed, though. If he really is not trolling, then I dont think he has worked anywhere, or at least no standard places of business. Ive worked at and seen more than a few shops lock their customers in, but only until they are ready to leave and only to prevent asshats from clumsily getting in after hours. Many other places wont risk locking the doors because of safety concerns, but theyll station someone at the door or at least have their employees monitor it. This isnt uncommon. Maybe JE19426 is just a minor.

It's possible he really is that fucking clueless. Anyone who has worked as a waiter, a cashier, a bank teller, a bar tender and such, or is a customer who is at least aware, would understand that almost all, if not all, businesses will allow a courtesy amount of time for customers already inside their establishment to finish what they're doing, and they won't let new customers enter after closing hours.

Thats a level of scrutiny that I dont think most people can weather without at least one offensive thing popping up. I still like Finn. He is more interesting and relatable than any of the other new trilogy characters. Its Ok that he is cowardly. C-3P0 was cowardly and so was Han Solo at times, yet they are fan favorites. You just have to be useful at key times or grow out of it eventually... or be charming, which helps a lot even in real life. Finn is brave when the Rebellion needs him to be. I do think he was mostly wasted in The Last Jedi, but hopefully he wont be just a distraction again when the third movie is revealed.

Yeah, there is a disconnect between what some people think a symbol means to them and what the other side thinks it means to them. Add in the people who say that the national flag, for example, doesnt mean anything (its technically just cloth), then the issue becomes even more muddied. The weird thing is that a lot of the same people arguing that a physical symbol like the flag should garner no respect are also the ones who claim that certain words (which by their nature have no physical form and are just made up) have immense power, so much so that saying them can cause massive backlash or inspire great deeds.
