Let me settle this for you guys.

I want CEs_EFG and men and women like him to defend us from enemy forces and go where they need to go to do that. iClockwork and men and women like him can work in the office, mess hall or whatever else is available, assuming they even want to join the armed (or in their case, unarmed) services. We should all be Ok, no, we should insist, that they stay far, far away from any rifles and grenades that they might have otherwise been expected to use. Dont drop the standards, of course.

Honestly, I think thats about as diplomatic as it gets, with both sides still getting paid, and the rest of us civilians wont have to worry about some recruit killing their own unit because they couldnt throw far enough.

I think a lot of people hated Chris Kyle because he killed dozens of Iraqis and he went around promoting and profiteering from it through his autobiography and various media appearances. IIRC, Kyle was also completely unapologetic about his actions and often labeled his victims as the bad guys. To a lot of people, I believe Kyle basically represented the violent and imperialistic side of the United States. The fact that he was also a straight white male who seemed to be proud of his country most likely did not help endear him to some groups.

Personally, I didnt have a problem with Kyle beyond some of his actions that seem exaggerated or possibly even completely fake. For example, Kyle claimed he beat up former Minnesota governor and retired wrestler Jesse The Body Ventura for allegedly badmouthing the SEALs. Apparently there is no evidence to back that up, but it still damaged Venturas reputation. The same goes for Kyle supposedly having shot Hurricane Katrina looters. Making outlandish and harmful boasts like that just casts doubt on his actual accomplishments and makes me wonder if Kyle really is as crazy as his critics say he is.

Over-the-top is subjective. But it is misleading to say the media hasnt been all over this movie. Just do simple search with those sites you mentioned (i.e. Yahoo, CNN, etc.) and you will find dozens of articles and videos made within the last few days on this subject. Lol, there is even a CNN article ( https://tinyurl.com/y8qrpvgz ) about Black Panther that first bashes TRUMP, then compares the film with Obamas presidency. What other movie gets that kind of reaction before its even out?

Anyway, I really, really liked Blade. If Black Panther is even nearly as good as Blade (just the first one, of course), then Ill be happy when I see it.

Personally, I absolutely believe that the government must never interfere with a citizen doing what they want with their own flag. A lot of bands, if not most, play their own music as well. I guess with current rappers, you could say that they know how to work the auto-tune. How can you be a legitimate music artist if you cant sing and you dont how to play any instruments?

I do like Busta Rhymes, though. He has a distinct sound and energy, a passion, to the way he performs a rap, which I dont see anyone else being on par with. There are some really good writers in rap, too.

Ok, artist paints image of Jewish woman killing Assyrian warlord, except the artist changes the Jew to black and the Assyrian to white. Artist says his work is about who has power. The women represent black people killing white people, who would be seen as oppressors because of the story on which its based. (I believe its also based on a perception of current race relations, unless the race choices were random.) White is assumed to have power, but its reclaimed or at least been overcome through violence. Thats the message. Thats the art. It deliberately generalizes two groups of people and presents a superiority and inferiority dynamic that is then switched. Its racist.

The victorious woman is a reimagined Judith, the biblical Jewish widow, and her victim is Assyrian General Holofernes. But Wiley changed Judith to a black woman and Holofernes as not only white but also a woman. Why? Why not just keep their race and sex intact? Well, see his quote above. Wiley didnt randomly choose his images. He featured race (and sex) front and center because thats what his paintings about.
