But honestly I think the best response to her comments about the US being built on slavery and the genocide of Americans would be:

"Yet you still moved here (or choose to live here if she was born here, idk her background)"

Like when she was saying all that stuff, it was almost as if she felt like she was immune from the responsibility for all that, yet other Americans are, even though none of us were alive when all that happened. It's also pretty classic whataboutism. The fact that the US has had an imperial past doesn't mean that people shouldn't be considered about Iranian nuclear weapons today in 2018.

Prior to Khomeni Iran was a pretty nice and progressive place in the 20 years between him and Ajax. I'm not seeing how an oppressive theocratic revolution can be blamed on that.
