I dunno how many people were well acquainted with Everdownward on here at this point, he stopped doing much posting here over the last year or so between getting diagnosed with cancer and the deluge of politics in this place. We were really good friends irl and knew each other since middle school, and he was the one that introduced me to CE

he had been in hospice for the past month or so and today he passed away from his illness. again, i dunno how many people on here still talked to him but if he still had some friends floating around on this board i didnt want them left in the dark.

I think you guys are focusing on the wrong thing.

This conflict wasnt about the cost of the sign. A couple (allegedly) drove onto some strangers home, got out and fought with the owners, while stealing property from their yard. Thats a level of unsafe and unwise decisions that could warrant violence. Ive driven onto other peoples driveways by mistake and the first thing out of my mouth was an apology followed by a second apology and my thanks to them for being patient. If I tried to beat down the owners instead, it wouldnt be surprising if they started shooting. Investigators should establish if these things really happened. Maybe the owners never felt endangered and lied about the events. Maybe not.

Id be wary of assigning a purpose, especially a traditionally Western one, to any Korean film. It is not uncommon that the purpose is not the revenge, for example, but to show that events in life have effects that could be devastating and unavoidable. The suffering or the hopelessness could be the point.

No one who buys and plays competitive first-person shooters is going to care much about the historical debates surrounding the real life events on which the game is based.

Players will want to know about latency issues, multiplayer modes, if the DLC is pay to win, whether or not the guns will look and sound authentic, and if the game mechanics are balanced. Thats pretty much the short list.

Carano made controversial remarks that angered a lot of people. She could have kept quiet, but she did not. Disney, being a business, performed damage control to contain the backlash. The author didnt need to rehash it or try to spin it in some way. We already know. Its low hanging fruit. If the writer had framed the results as Carano still being able to profit from her firing, then the author could have emphasized that cancel culture is not always as effective as people think it is.

Yeah, I remember watching GSP talk about that with Rogan. I dont think its a big deal, as he was just being honest about the fear he feels. Hes not in love with fighting, like how Masvidal loves hitting people or Cerrone admitting he would fight for free. GSP likes the discipline of martial arts, the competition and increasing his legacy. Hes mentioned before that if the fight is big enough and he thinks he can win, then he will fight. Khabib would have been an enticing matchup, and maybe Kamaru will be also with one or two more wins.

There's some things I just didn't understand about that show. Like if spirits just needed to kill ppl to get stronger, why go to a place with an active and easily mobilized police force? There's plenty of other cities in the world where there is no police or maybe a very weak police.

I feel its a show thats more enjoyable if we try not to think too hard about it. There are a bunch of murders and the villains are either corrupt humans or literal evil spirits, yet I found myself laughing at times when Im pretty sure the scene wasnt meant to be funny. But you and I both finished it, so I guess that show did something right
