Potentially sure. Most likely it was more than just one though. Been while since I looked, I dont remember what ideas were floated around as far as how life came to be for the first time.

That being said, the evolution of life on Earth is one big gradient-like river that grows wider and thinner and back again over time. Really not that hard to comprehend, unless you're confusing why with how.

Arguably, what we see as "evolution" in Pokemon is more like instantaneous growth. Charmander is just a baby Charizard, and Charmelion is the adolescent inbetween.

Yeah, I dont think evolution disproves a god, but it does run counter to what some religious texts say about the origins of humans and other animals.

Where do instincts come from? Like the instinctive fear of the Dark for example. Our ancestors feared it because tigers would eat your ass if you went out in the dark alone. Does our DNA hold some type of memory? Not like assassins creed type shit, but some type of basic memory?

yes I think so. we also are scared of spiders cause of that. cause in ancient times, back in africa, some deadly african spiders could kill our early hominid ancestors. and I think that left a mark on our instincts

Why do people restrict evolution to only cells and DNA? The whole universe has been evolving since the Big Bang. The universe now looks much different than 5 billion, 10 billion years ago and etc.

So our DNA is "learning" from our actions? Not just from environmental stimulation?

If so, then we ARE in a simulation. We're just some programmer's evolving code! Ahhhhh!

No. It's not like someone learned to be afraid of the dark and somehow passed that learned behavior down to their offspring. It's that someone had a random mutation that made them afraid of the dark and it made them more likely to survive.
