Wouldn't the line just be:

As Foretold -> Fast mana, etc from hand -> Gaea's Will from As Foretold -> Graveyard shenanigans?

It's more restrictive than Yawg's Will but still seems like it could be very broken

They will never stop trying to make free spells. They're always going to chase the dream of free spells that are playable, beloved by the players, and not broken. As for other, non-evoke, free spells in the set we've already seen Force of Negation. I don't think these cards are too likely to break the game given the fact that they aren't truly free - you're losing card advantage in the process. That's a lot more fair than something like Once Upon a Time where the card literally says you can pay it for no cost.

Yeah I guess the Force cycle from MH1 was pretty reasonable. The other "free" spell I was referring to is a card that has "you may sacrifice a mountain rather than pay this spell's mana cost".

I have to admit I'm a bit concerned knowing that the evoke creature from above is part of a cycle, and it's known from Maro's hints that there's at least one other free spell that's not part of the evoke cycle.

From a local news site:

Ali Roth, the owner of Blue Willow Tea and Berkeley tea shop The Blue Willow Teaspot, had hoped to reopen her Kickstarted restaurant on May 1, but those plans were put on hold after her husband and 2-year-old child tested positive for COVID-19.
Im fully vaccinated, Roth wrote on Instagram, and need to stay home with them to take care of them until their quarantine is over and follow CDC guidelines. According to Roth, a Pennsylvania-based colleague of her husbands who visited Bay Area last week refused to get tested before his flight, quarantine after, or wear a mask while he was in the shop, and it turns out he had covid the whole time. Now, she wrote, I need to put work on hold right now and just be here for my family until were all safe. She hopes to reopen the Teaspot on May 7, but asks that patrons cut us some slack, this is a really stressful time right now.

ulti-tier move on the part of the Pennsylvania guy

Good top 2.

As mentioned before, I hard disagree with Ben being near the top. I think the actor did a good job with what he was provided, but too much of Lost was Ben being obviously manipulative and other characters deciding to fall for it for seemingly no reason.

And I really have no idea why they tried to give him a forced "redemption" at the end when he was pretty much unrepentantly shitty.

Locke is all of the above for me. You can definitely have an unlikable character who is fun to watch -- Ben exists on the same island even! (No one line on LOST tops "You guys got any milk?")

Weirdly I feel exactly the opposite. The writers made everyone too easily manipulated by Ben, and then they also try to make us sympathetic toward him for some reason? His arc makes no sense to me at all.

Locke is a deeply flawed character who's fun to watch because all of his confidence and mysticism is an act that he convinces himself of. I was simultaneously rooting for him while also being like "jesus dude, come ON"

I think I would like the MIB a lot more of not for Across the Sea. I feel like the backstories of Jacob/MIB are something that really should have stayed a mystery. We don't need to know who these dudes are. One is a seemingly sinister force, the other a manipulative avatar (who may or may not be good).

Spelling out their motivations and making the island a literal cork ruins it.

Also just gonna say I really did not care for Juliet and did not get why people liked her so much. I feel like people were so desperate for a good female main that they were like "well, at least she's better than Kate." And then the show literally nuked her. (lol)

Also Juliet's actress for some reason had this weird smirk on her face constantly, and it annoyed me for some reason.

Nah, I don't think a random death would have changed anyone's mind. Or are you saying "if the insurrection were successful enough that they could kill the targets they wanted to"? Because in that case, there wouldn't even have been a second impeachment.

I think an R death would have caused enough fear among Republicans to change the outcome. And realistically I think Pence and Romney were probably the only ones in actual danger.

But yeah, if the insurrection was completely successful, of course things would be entirely different and there'd likely be no trial.

It is a continuation of the strategy they successfully employed against Bernie. Equate the left with toxic online white bros, white supremacists, Trump, and equate liberalism with poc. And then you can see he follows up with a tweet saying the reaction by left twitter (and blocking the poc on the left calling him out) proves him right, it's the same old same old playbook liberals cynically employ. It's also absurd on it's face because you could count the number of white nationalists who want medicare for all and are against empire on your hand.

That said, minimum wage and being against right to worker is in theory anti-worker. People should be able to have jobs without being forced into a union and jobs for the amount they are willing to work for lol.

That works maybe on a small scale. Even then I doubt it. It'd pretty quickly become a race to the bottom with bigger corporations in play.

If anything they should lower the minimum wage. If people are willing to work jobs for whatever wage, they should be allowed to. The effort these fast food restaurants put into arguing for $15 hour wages would easily net them a $15 hour job if they invested that same effort. The problem is that people want to be paid more for jobs that people willingly take at that wage. It's just laziness.

The driver and the company need to make money and there's only so much of a hit the restaurant can absorb. A lot of those costs are fixed, so the pricing makes a lot more sense if you're ordering for multiple people.

(And I say this as someone who has been ordering dinner through DoorDash almost every day during the pandemic for just myself: the costs would not normally make sense for a single person without a ton of disposable income, and what I'm really paying for is the ability to minimize my covid exposure).

Ordering dinner almost every day? Jesus

To piggyback on what Tony was saying, even though people in this topic series seem to believe people are foolish for not realizing Biden saying "$2000 checks will go out immediately" meant "we will do $1400 checks to go along with the $600 dollar checks in a couple months", you have to admit it was equally as foolish to go with messaging that left people feeling like you lied to them, and furthermore, that there is absolutely no basis or study for the idea that people making under x money need stimulus but exactly a $2000 dollar one time payment is what they need, so none of this is smart and it is all just bad optics for Biden because what he is doing is satisfying nobody. The GOP members of congress is feeling lied to by the switch to no longer doing a 60 vote compromise bill, and the dem voters, especially in GA, now feel like you lied to them too. If nothing else, Warnock should come out in favor of new $2000 checks just because he is the one who is getting thrown under the bus the most here.

Honestly I think that the $2000 being $600 + $1400 was pretty obviously always the intent, but that progressives smartly seized an opportunity to frame it as a walk-back. I think it was a great move to put moderate dems in an uncomfortable position and (potentially) get more for the people who need it.
