| VintageGin 12/10/18 2:32:30 PM #138 | Some initial thoughts on characters Roy seems really good. Fast, powerful, good edge guarding, decent range. I played against my friend while he used Roy almost exclusively and it was pretty damn obnoxious. I really want to like Simon/Richter because they feel so good while you're on the stage. But then you get knocked off and your recovery is garbage so you die. K Rool is pretty sweet. That super armor belly definitely makes a huge difference, and his recovery is great. Not sure how to handle things after losing the crown though. Ridley seems pretty bad. His down B does 60% damage if it sweet spots but doesn't launch, and he just seems so slow and easy to punish. Link's remote bombs make him so much more satisfying to play. They're great. I feel like Isabelle has potential, but I wasn't able to do much with her. --- Ginhyun https://imgur.com/t7G7uoU |

Three Inklings with bonus projectile damage on a shitty map with projectile weapons spawning non-stop while an assist trophy periodically shows up to shoot rockets at you? They don't have derp AI or die super easy like most multi-enemy fights either, and you eat huge damage for getting hit by anything because they combo off it so consistently. So much damn stuff being thrown around it's hard to see what's going on Yeah this one sucks. I always get this one and Disco Elysium mixed up, because the devs behind Disco Elysium realized what a bad name No Truce With the Furries was so they rebranded. IIRC the devs behind Full Metal Furies mentioned negative association with its name for some of its poor sales in a post-mortem? I don't know if they mentioned that specifically. It's a co-op brawler (with some heavy puzzle elements) by the same company that made Rogue Legacy. I thought Rogue Legacy was good but not great, especially given the reception it received. Like, it's crazy to me that something so important could end up being handled by people who are either apathetic or incompetent. It depends so much on people actually giving a shit. -My polling station was on the UC Berkeley campus and we got a ton of people who had no idea what they were doing-- most people didn't realize that they had an assigned polling place and just came to ours because they happened to be passing by -As a result we had a fuckton of provisional ballots-- like 90% or more were provisional -People are really into the "I voted" sticker -It's pretty exhausting given you're expected to be there from 6 AM to 9 PM (or later depending on how long it takes you to close) -People can be assholes for no reason, but then again I knew that already --- Ginhyun https://imgur.com/t7G7uoU |
