Is there an easy way to tell if you already have a spirit via enhancing? Like, I've been getting some spirits that enhance at 99, and I can't tell if they're new spirits or spirits I previously had but enhanced.

Not unless you know what it enhances into, in which case you can spot it in your inventory.

When you actually get the Spirit it will have a little (NEW) badge on it though.

They have the black bar for their ability just like the can be enhanced on 99 spirits so you know they are evolved

You can't fight the boss fights like they're regular Smash battles. You have to look at them like regular action/platformer bosses. Stay back, observe the attack patterns, hit and run, shield A LOT. That kinda stuff.

That's a good thought I'll have to remember that because I'm getting to like 9.5 and then getting crushed by the bosses and it doesnt make sense to me lol

The main problem I'm having is I'm positive they've changed the timing of some of the Hand's attacks since Smash 4. I dodge the way I remember and get hit a second later.

There is no, absolutely NO reason why they should be allowed to get a free up smash off for hitting it.

It's even more busted in Team Smash. If you have any sort of coordination you can set up really easy kills with it.

Yeah I would advise them to straight up get rid of it. I've faced a lot of obnoxious moves in Smash but this is the most obnoxious.

As far as bosses, one thing I tend to forget, since it doesn't feel like normal Smash, is that you don't always have to evade the attack or dodge. Certain things you can simply shield most of it. Most of the attacks look like they should break your shield in one hit...most don't.

I play wireless and its 100% no issue. The only time when I experience lag is when I'm matched with someone who clearly is from another country.

So I did quickmatches all day today, after getting pretty good with isabelle and winning 70% of my matchups my gsp went from 32k to 38k

Meanwhile I have a wario sitting at 1.2 mil because he won a single four player match.

I have Bowser, Ridley, and Incineroar all at 1.8 million and none are in elite smash. Wat

AFAIK, it's percentage based, not a strict number. So that would just mean 1.8 million isn't in the Top 10% or whatever of Bowser/Ridley/Incineroar players anymore.

I hit elite smash at 2.08 million. Jiggly and toon link are 2 mil+ and not elite

And yeah, since people keep joining online, your number grows, so it's %

Im in Elite. I got 13th/72 at an SF Tourney, which is better than I did in any tournament during Smash 4. Just having ranked matchmaking has helped me improve a lot. Playing against bad people in 4 Glory taught me bad habits.

This is very true. It's nice playing only against good people. You learn fast what doesn't work in a competitive environment!

Well, I just played the most obnoxious fucking online

I had a match with a guy, and it went well. So we rematched. Then the rematch literally brings two more people in and suddenly the match is laggy as fuck and generally just unplayable.

Does lag benefit the lagger, the host, the low ping people, or what in this game?

I have no clue. I just know that I wasn't especially caring about quickplay online to begin with, and that incident has pretty well put me off it entirely.

I have had very little lag with this game. Playing wirelessly 2 floors above my router

I've played around 50 online quickplays, and very few of them have been laggy

But the ones that did lag were unplayably bad.

For b8 tournament, what do we want?

-3 stock, 7 minutes, bf/fd no items?
-Divisions with round robin before a playoff bracket, or straight to playoff bracket?
-Best of 3? 5?
-One character, or whoever/whenever?

Yeah, most people probably didn't have a strong legendary primary spirit the first time they tried it. I know I sure didn't. That said it's still doable, but the more reasonable way to handle it with a low power level is to just focus on staying alive and wait for Charizard to kill itself on the inferno pillars.

It has something to do with win/loss ratio as well. So if you've played more matches around someone of the same skill, it will fluctuate more. Like my roster GSP is 1.98 million, but if I lose with my best character , it will drop a bit. If I lose with a character starting at 1.9 million for the first time and lose, it will drop 500k or more.

I feel like as mysterious as it is, the formula is probably thought out to some extent.
