It took 2.2 billion dollars and eight years, and so far only supports buses right now ( supposed to eventually support Caltrain and high-speed rail)

Salesforce paid money to have their name on it, making it the Salesforce Transit Center.

This week was Dreamforce, a big Salesforce conference/event. On Wednesday, two cracks were discovered on the steel beams supporting the structure.

This week was also SF Transit Week, which was incidentally kicked off with muni delays.

The commute in question is actually BART + Caltrain! I might consider this one, but I think I played enough Binding of Isaac when it was initially released that I never had any interest in Rebirth

I'm pretty close to done playing Mario Odyssey, and I have a pretty long commute, so I'm trying to figure out what to play through next.

Ideally it shouldn't be too short and should be a game that doesn't lose too much from playing it in handheld mode 100% of the time.

Do you get something for getting all of the non-purchasable moons? I heard there's something for 999 moons but wasn't sure if getting all of the non-purchasable moons also unlocked something.

A bunch of the moons are basically just busywork/filler, which I knew to expect going in. But I sort of figured that I'd be done with them by the time I reached the post-game.

Instead, they add more of the moons in plain sight, moons where you have to spin your cap on something sparkly, and moons where you just pound the ground in the right place.

Even the moons that seem somewhat novel at first (birds, rabbits, koopa races) get repeated in every world. It feels less like I'm playing the game and exploring and more like I'm checking off boxes.

The idea is that the game is fun to just play and here are a bunch of sandboxes that reward you for just wanting to have fun running around and seeing what they have to offer

If you dont find the mechanics fun in and of themselves then I can understand your opinion

This

Much like how I view the abundance of Korok Seeds in BotW - it's what allows you to just do random shit and then go oh hell yeah here's a moons/seed.

The difference is that BotW's main goal is not to collect Korok seeds. And that's a huge difference. They also let you upgrade your inventory while moons don't really do anything.

Also, whose idea was it to make you talk to Toadette for every single "achievement" moon? And what was even the point of most of those since they awarded you moons for doing things that you already had to do to get moons?

That was the single worst design decision I've seen in any game in a LONG time

by the time you get to her you're likely to have at least 50+ done but each moon requires going through the exact same dialogues and animations to the point where after getting credit for 2 I just said "fuck it"

I feel like there are also several questionable design decisions in the game, but that was the only one that struck me as completely dumb and without purpose.

This game really feels like it establishes a formula and sticks to it with very little deviation. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the formula gets stale fairly quickly.

A lot of the worlds also felt pretty uninspired in terms of theme. I liked Bowser's Castle and Metro Kingdom, but none of the others really felt interesting to me aside from maybe the food themed kingdom.

Also, whose idea was it to make you talk to Toadette for every single "achievement" moon? And what was even the point of most of those since they awarded you moons for doing things that you already had to do to get moons?

Apparently mine was a disaster. None of the people who were supposed to be responsible for organizing it actually wanted to do it so it got handed off to some other guy. That other guy either didn't figure out how to contact everyone or didn't get enough interest, so he made it an "all class" reunion (so basically anyone who had graduated from the school) and I guess just hoped that word of mouth would be enough to make sure enough people showed up?

There were also plans to do it at a Taco Bell, though apparently it got changed to a bar. I heard that it was not fun and basically no one from our class showed up.

Currently my commute is about 2 hours by public transit, though it's also generally 3x per week-- I work remotely the other 2.

I feel like I wouldn't tolerate over 30 mins of commuting by driving, though, especially since I only have a motorcycle.

My fiancee by contrast has a 10 minute walk to work.

If you take time off, somebody has to do the work while you aren't there. That's not "s***ty company culture," that's just reality.

It's pretty shitty culture if you're encouraged to take less time off when someone literally died.

No one should feel like they can't take time off.

If people are stretched too thin, that's the fault of the company and/or whoever is in charge of hiring.

Bottom line. Taking the full 3 days is cringy. Don't be cringy.

Hell, taking even 1 day is cringy! The point of bereavement time is to make sure you give your boss as much free work as possible, and your coworkers don't feel bad about giving charity to the boss for no reason. Seriously, imagine if everyone at your job took 3 days every time a close relative died. It would be total anarchy!

There's a reason you get 3 days. And like puns said, it sounds like it would help you. What kind of a wage slave would you have to be not to take it?

Oh yes, I forgot that the only thing that matters in this world is me, me, me. Who cares about my coworkers or the fact that I'm using the death of a relative to take additional days off that I don't really need.

*cough* Oh, excuse me, I coughed once. Time to take another paid sick day. Life is grand when I only have my selfish desires to worry about!

You don't owe it to your company to avoid taking time off, especially when someone has died.

Your coworkers also don't owe it to your company to do that.

It sounds like a pretty shitty company culture if this is at all expected.
