Right now its pretty bad.

When I think Brawl though I think unplayable input lag. This is just like Wii U but it's just a lot of lag spikes.

Agreeing with this. I've only put about two hours in but it feels slow and clunky, sort of like Brawl.

I have to say, I'm super impressed by how much effort was put into these Classic modes. Way more than I was expecting out of a mode that's never really thrilled me

just beat Sonic's, with every level being based off of one of his games (fighting Fox for Sonic 2, Falcon for Sonic & Knuckles, a Metal Sonic, color-coded Kirbys for Sonic Heroes, etc.) and matching music for each original game. The only thing that disappointed me was it being just another Master Hand fight at the end. Kirby's Classic raised my expectations too high; I was really hoping to see a Dr. Robotnik boss battle.

ok so how do you re-challenge new fighters after losing to them? I looked it up online and it mentions a "Challengers Approaching" section of Games & More, but it's definitely not there

Low percentage wins, wins without getting touched, wins in a short time frame seem to shot it up higher.

Its actually so stupid. I hate how there always has to be a gimmick. Like just give us easy, normal, hard, and brutal. Sometimes I just want to take it easy on a lower difficulty, but then the game is like "wow you're really good! You must want to go waaay up in difficulty"

Or alternatively, I want to challenge myself, and the game will be like "wow you suck, lets bring it down to baby mode for you!" I almost always end up with a higher finishing point when I start easy and don't try compared to when I start hard and do try.

oh yea speed, weight and air charts were released right before Smash came out and Incineroar was slowest but also one of the heaviest

The higher the level, the better your boost in stats is, right?

I just like leveling up my favorite characters even if its wildly pointless. Like I'm just happy to have Olaf from advance wars on my team in some form even if its just a jpg. Having a tauros attached to my mii fighter makes it feel so much more personal.

Anyway this doesn't answer your question but I wanted to gush about how much I like the spirits. They could have done more with them, but I really like what they are.

I finally got the only new character I wanted: Ridley.

Holy shit he is not easy to play. I need to figure him out a bit.

I still only have the Ice Climbers as the only one of my characters I actually used to play a lot. And of course it isn't in Adventure mode, so I'm still slogging through with Sheik.

ok so i obviously i want to collect all the spirits

but iirc some are unobtainable unless you evolve some lower level ones? and dismissal is also a thing.

if i dismiss a spirit, will it no longer show up in my inventory or whatever and i have to get it again? i.e. will it be like i never had it? or is there like some permanent record thing that things can't be erased from.

do i need a "living" spirit inventory like a living pokedex where i actually have all the spirits on hand.

Accidentally cheaped the everliving FUCK out of the M Bison Legend Spirit battle with Ganondorf. I was falling off the stage with 2 HP while he had 135 HP left and he came after me, I panicked and did Kirby's Up Special and knocked him out of the stage before I fell out of the stage >_>

Oh man, fuck The Boss's spirit fight in World of Light. A two minute Stamina battle with Poison Floor, and Zero Suit Samus starts with 180 HP (about 80 HP more than you do), and then gets an unreal defense buff at about 150 HP left. She abuses the fuck out of her projectiles and superior speed, and you're limited on buffs because you are using slots to immune yourself to Poison Floor.

Eventually, I took Duck Hunt and abused the hell of his front smash to knock her off the stage and keep her off, but that's not easy to do in a Stamina battle.

I swear I got an unlock just from backing out of online. But more often it takes one multiplayer match after a lot of online.

The Jeff spirit is the biggest brick wall for me so wall in WoL. Three Inklings with bonus projectile damage on a shitty map with projectile weapons spawning non-stop while an assist trophy periodically shows up to shoot rockets at you? They don't have derp AI or die super easy like most multi-enemy fights either, and you eat huge damage for getting hit by anything because they combo off it so consistently. So much damn stuff being thrown around it's hard to see what's going on

Currently at 69 (nice) characters.

I'm not sure how I feel about unlocking things randomly every ten minutes. I kind of miss all of the dumb hoops you had to jump through in games like Melee.
