Ehhh, the BG grind is honestly not a great example. It is not difficult to rank even with only 2 heroes to select from. Most people are just not very good at optimizing their chances in BGs so it's one of the easier rankings to level up.

This was my follow up duels run to the 12 win Demon Hunter. A 12 win Warlock run! Now featuring a more detailed write-up.

Both are decent tempo passives. Neither of them are my favorite passives to take for a tempo based run, but the free secrets still proved to be the most useful of the two. I got a 4/2 with stealth several times on my opponents Turn 1 when they used their coin! The caltrops made some trades line up nicely and killed a few Gibberlings against druids, but was the less impactful of the two.

Loyal Sidekick on 9 (it was a 10/10 for 4 mana at this point, but I think I only played it once before the run ended)

This deck really came together over the first 3 games. I had all 5 of my Silverware Golems and all 3 Fist of Jaraxxus after the first 3 buckets. If anything my deck only got more diluted throughout the run, but I did get fortunate and I was offered empty buckets twice which prevented me from diluting my deck further. As a result my deck was extremely consistent through the first 6-7 games and then only "very" consistent from there as I had to take knife jugglers and such. I would have continued to take silverware golems, but there just weren't any more offered after I had 5.

I encountered very few Priest and Mage which is different than my usual Duels experience lately, and the back half of the run was almost entirely Hunter and Druid opponents. Caltrops did the most work against druid because it prevented Gibberlings from going off and it prevented the turn 1 Tour Guide into hero power. I included the Ironbeak Owl with my base 16 cards and it served as the final nail in the coffin against a few Hunters that tried to stabilize with a turn 5 taunt. Very few of my games made it past 6 mana thanks to all the gas I had. My one loss came at 5-0 and if memory serves it was a priest who healed face every turn to stabilize with next to no health and then pulled out 3 consecutive board clears to run me out of resources.

Overall I'm quite pleased with the way this run turned out and that's another 12 win achievement out of the way. Eventually I'm sure I'll look back and be sad that I didn't get the "without losing a game" achievement on the run since I came so close, but for now I'm still pleased.

the problem with leading the parrot is that it could double trigger the selfless straight away which would be awful, but once the first goldrinn pops then both fish become new goldrinn triggers. so your chance of a +0-stat parrot go way down.

12 wins in Duels with DH feels good! I took my first loss at like 1 or 2 wins and then my second loss at 10 wins.

My passives were Rhonin's Scrying Orb and Emerald Goggles. Goggles is super powerful on DH in particular and it virtually guaranteed my first few turns would be powerful.

To my understanding the original pitch was "uber is an awesome side hustle you can use to make as little or as much as you want" so it's only natural that some would choose to do it full time.

It's up to Uber to establish different tiers of their drivers if they want to impose the type of restrictions that would classify them as non-employees.

"You are a brand new uber driver, as such you are only allowed to work via the app for 5 hours a week during peak hours"

And then after X weeks their status as an uber driver levels up which unlocks the ability to put in 10 or 15 hours instead.

And then after X more weeks their status as a driver levels up again which unlocks the apply to apply for an independent contract to perform full time work.

We live in an age of technology, they could have used that to their advantage to set clear limitations on the work being performed from the outset. But they did not and so they clearly have many people being treated as full time employees who are not receiving full time employee levels of benefits.

Which is to say that unnecessary travel is still F***ing stupid. You still have to go through airports which can be crowded, and it creates more lines of connections between different people in different places who would otherwise be insulated from each other. So absolutely do not travel if it isn't actually vital.

But I think the actual airplane air itself was safer from a COVID perspective than people assumed it would be.

Yeah, you probably have a milliion different 1099-B forms that need to be factored in. Some brokerages will consolidate 1099-B information, but sometimes you end up with a distinct 1099-B for every sale of stock you made that year.

When I have to pull up the income documents on someone's account it is such a nightmare and takes such a long time when there are 200+ forms for the system to sort through, and it's usually a day trader type of situation.

And with enough investment income you are probably using Schedule D to calculate your tax instead of the regular tax tables so that's a couple of extra worksheets as well.

I'm not on Gemini (i'll have to look into it) but on Binance I would

-Click "Wallet" to look at my various wallets

-Click "Deposit" on the wallet specifically for the token I want to receive. So for this example if I click Deposit on my Ethereum wallet it gives my my Ethereum Address (0x39da831aa89b44e6a87ca5a48450c2d5cfe6e06c)

-Then I would go back to Coinbase and Send my ethereum to that specific address.

I don't know what happens if you use email. I think that is to send it from one coinbase user to another without using the actual wallet address, but I'm not entirely sure. But there is no problem with sharing your wallet address because the only thing someone else could use it for would be to send you money. So you just need to find your Ethereum or BitCoin address on Gemini and use that. Just be ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you are using the correct address before you hit send. Do not try and send your bitcoin to your Ethereum wallet and vis-versa. Chances are the transaction wont be verifiable and it wont go through, but on the other hand it might be a legitimate address for someone else in which case the transaction goes through and you are SOL.

Depending on the token coinbase might charge a free.

When I was transferring my free money off of CoinBase first I tried to send it as MANA to my binance wallet, but coinbase was going to take some 50% (!!). I converted it to XLM and sent that instead and it didn't take anything. So I don't know if that was a weird issue with MANA or something on coinbase's side.

But regardless you wouldn't lose an "entry price" but you are essentially transferring the tokens themselves. If you have 0.5 bitcoins and you move those into a different wallet then you'll still have 0.5 bitcoins.

I just transferred my Chainlink to Gemini to get a ~4.5% interest yield (in LINK!). I have yet to hear from anyone what the downside of this is, but it seems like such a no-brainer.

I've seen multiple articles singling LINK out as a token where a price correction is predicted to occur in the near future. There are a couple on the other end saying the correction might be further off, but even those agree a correction is coming. Just something you might want to look into.

If you have it open on the computer go to your portfolio and on the right side of the web page is a drop down list that says "Rewards" that shows your balances for what can be staked.

Different tokens have 'Staking' which is something you can enable in Coinbase as well. And it essentially just means that by holding a stake in that token you will generate an interest at whatever rate they have set. Different sites have different tokens that they provide interest for and different ways of distributing it.

The one that comes to mind first is Algorand. On Coinbase you received 6% annually for staking Algorand, but it was calculated based upon hourly snapshots of your balance and distributed daily. On Binance they provide "8-10%" for staking Algorand, but it is distributed monthly instead.

And looking at Gemini it looks like the 7.4% interest being advertised is specifically for Filecoin with other tokens being available at different rates.

So it isn't as simple as "gemini provides interest and coinbase does not". It depends on which token you are talking about for which exchange.

Between XTZ, ATOM and ALGO you can pick your favorite in terms of long term viability and get a pretty solid rate of return.

Now Gemini has Bitcoin Cash, but I'm not sure how closely Bitcoin Cash is tied to the price of Bitcoin (would need to do more research), but that might be an attractive option on Gemini since staking bitcoin itself doesn't seem possible anywhere.

Pit soda is a recurring prop in the series. I believe its peach flavored and each can had an actual pit in it.

And not every encoded message has far reaching implications, but there is a clue from the opening credits that provides instructions.

If you really want to have a crack at it I won't say any more, but you should probably start with the code from episode 1 since deciding it will at least easily show you are using the right method.

Crypto is tradeable 24 hours a day so that means when it shows you the +% it's a moving target. So even if a coin is down 10% in the last hour it might show a green +% because at this time yesterday it was down even further so relative to exactly 24 hours ago it's actually up.

The one thing I like about Coinbase is actually being able to sort by "change in past 1 hour" and I can use that to suss out coins that took a dramatic enough dip that I can expect to pick up a couple % when they correct to their moving average. But by default it should be showing you the 24 hour change.

What people seem to be missing is that this wasn't Gina's first flirtation with being fired. She had been making careless tweets for a while now and Disney (and some of her cast members) went to bat for her for FAR longer than I would have expected them to. If anything her more recent tweets show a blatant disregard for the situation she was in (on thin freaking ice) and it's a slap in the face to the people who publicly stood by her. It's really hard to feel bad for her in light of the full situation.

This situation is like the complete opposite of the James Gunn / Guardians of the Galaxy situation. In his case the comments that had him in trouble were from many years prior and he immediately owned up to the mistake that it was. And when numerous cast members from GotG supposed him he didn't dump on their support by immediately saying worse things.

What is mining Bitcoin anyway?

Cryptocurrency transactions are "confirmed" by other computers solving complex equations. These equations are by intent made to be complex to require a LOT of computing power to be secure. (somehow? I don't know the specifics)

And so "mining" bitcoin involves lending your computing power (form your CPU or GPU or dedicated mining hardware) to assist with this confirmation process. When a new block is "confirmed" a reward is given to the person who finished the block. So you could get very lucky and be the person who gets rewarded often or you could mine for a long time and not get the reward. For this reason people will join mining pools to spread this reward more evenly.

Bitcoin in particular is an energy hog, but other coins require significantly less computer power and as a result sap significant less energy.

Here's a picture example of buy/sell limits and how they affect and are affected by the market orders from a sub-penny crypto i've been making some money off of for a couple days:



Everything above the mid point (in red) are the Limit Sell orders that are parked on various amounts.

So at the time this picture was taken there were a total of 15,088,988 tokens on sale for .0034 apiece from different people's Limit Sell orders and a total of 30,069,596 tokens on sale for .0035 apiece. So if you put in an order for 13,000,000 tokens you would pay .0034 for your entire order, but if you put in an order 18,000,000 tokens then you would buy ALL of the .0034 listed tokens and SOME of the .0035 order tokens.... And if you pull a Moonroof and put an in an order for a BILLION tokens then you would buy all the .0034 and all the .0035 and all the .0036 and all the .0037... etc etc.

And everything below the midpoint is the Limit Buy orders that are parked on various price points (in green).

And so if you already have some coins and you want to sell them you can just put in a market sell order and you'll get the highest price that is being parked by the Limit Buy orders, in this case .0033 per token. But if you have 50,000,000 tokens and you put in a market sell order you wouldn't get that price for all of them because you would have filled all the .0033 orders and the remainder of your sell would start filling the .0032 orders and so forth. So it would be a better idea to set a limit sell yourself. So if in that scenario you set a limit sell for 50,000,000 tokens @ .0033 you would fill every .0033 limit Buy order and now you would have a standing Limit Sell order (which would move up and be listed in red) for the remaining 15,715618 tokens that you were trying to move. Or if you didn't want to make waves on the market buy/sell price you might just move 5,000,000 tokens at at time and give time for the .0033 orders to be replaced by other orders and make your sale in chunks.

I've spent more time trying to finish the Oh My Yogg achievement over the last month than I have playing actual real games of Hearthstone. I'm not looking to complete all of the achievements because there's a dozen or so I just don't have the cards for, but this one specific achievement is so dumb I feel compelled to get it.

It would help if more than one out of every twenty people understood what I was doing and tossed out a spell at the end of their guaranteed win.

can you earn achievements like that in friendly matches or does it have to be a "real" match?
