There is a small chance they might not have what they need, or they might misplay and screw it up. But then they haphazardly play the cards that give them the most obvious lethal in the world and I wonder why on earth they felt the need to waste everyone's time thinking about it. Most recently I was just playing mage vs a mill rogue. We are well into the late game and it is the rogue's turn. If he can play 3 coldlight oracles (not difficult in the slightest) then my block will be popped and then I will die at the beginning of my turn. It takes all of zero seconds to figure this out. Just start adding numbers and stop adding the numbers when they become more than my current health. He plays a coldlight. He thinks for a moment. (He doesn't emote during this, so I think he was actually just trying to wrap his brain around the situation) He plays his second coldlight (which is free because Valeera the Hollow shenanigans) He ponders for another long moment. He plays shadowstep and replays a coldlight. This happens all the time. If you have lethal, then play the lethal. This is such a huge pet peeve of mine. --- |

Im just pleased so far that i haven't really had any cards that have felt dead in my hand. Even the egg has several possible triggers and the 5/5 beast that comes out synergizes as well. I even had a game where i used nourish to ramp for mana rather than cards and it paid off beautifully. When (not if) I reach 7 wins I think ill do write ups on my games. I don't think i have it in me to write up every arena game, but i could do it for runs that go deep. --- |

Your opponent is a person, just like you. They have just as much incentive to make plays that will help them win as you do. They put cards in their deck that have the potential to do good things. So I drafted druid again and got this monstrosity: Arcane Anomaly2 Legendaries. 2 Ultimate Infestations. Moderate beast synergy. (3 ways to either re summon or make copies of an Ultrasaur) A couple Jade cards, not that it matters since there isn't enough to win via tempo jade and I can't see myself losing if the game approaches fatigue anyways. And a Spreading Plague + Strongshell Scavenger combo to throw out if I'm getting wrecked early. The curve seems too high so I might just get dumpster'd, but I think with decent luck I'll go 7+ again. --- |

Second loss was to a warlock at 6 wins who highrolled me with a Bane of Doom and it completely swung the game. Still hoping to win a few more but I'm on the ropes now. --- |
