Without the word "enough" being present in that sentence isn't he just saying the he is incapable of emphasizing that there must not be violence and thus tacitly supporting it?

It should be "I cannot emphasize enough that there must not be X, Y and X"

Crypto wallets can tied to the hard drives themselves and are generally kept offline. There are online crypto wallets as well, but they are less secure and when you hear about a major bitcoin theft it's usually involving a service that handles online wallets.

And i'm sure those same people didn't think it was suspicious at all that Trump fired a bunch of people after the election and before leaving office.

I don't think that's how it works.

If i elect a representative and that rep takes bribes and embezzles money it is not an insult to me when someone calls them out on their wrong doing.

If my representative believes and perpetuates conspiracy theories then they deserve to be called a liar and if they feel insulted by that then tough shit.

That said, while I said it's different, American Idol's format is actually probably pretty close to a game show, since you don't get any of the "reality" stuff in between. It's like if they took that karaoke game show but just made it much longer.

Except shows where I just want to watch the "game" like Ninja Warrior are increasingly becoming "reality". I don't like watching 10 minutes of backstory followed by 15 seconds of falling on the first obstacle followed by letting me know about 4 people who completed the course during the commercial break.

His previous episode about Mario Kart 64 involved one man being so dominant he nearly held every single lap and 3 lap time trials world record simultaneously. As a result there was a concerned effort from other strong players in the community to prevent that from happening which was ultimately successful . You really seem to be clinging to one teeny tiny part of that note and your only takeaway seems to be "man this guy is such a dweeb because he wont go to family reunions anymore".

But it isn't even about that, that's just a small part of what was said to make a point.

I'm going to continue to go to family functions myself. But there are people I will work very hard not to talk to now and that is the point being made.

Have you been to a family function? It doesn't stop at small talk. People will feel the need to make their objectionable opinions known and then what do you do? Sit in awkward silence? Speak up? It's a shitty situation no matter how you slice it.

I don't sit down at the table and say "so what does everything think about the pandemic and the restrictions put in place by Newsom?".

But someone will say "it's pretty bullshit the stuff that Newsom is doing to us. The pandemic isn't even a big deal"

And yeah, I do not have it in me to hear that and not speak up, because that is a disgusting thing to say. And it's the result of this person buying into lies about the fake pandemic. And they go on to say how for all we know it was created by the chinese government and all that. People actually believe that garbage, and a lot more of them than I would have previously thought.

Many people have taken stances that are incredibly rude and offensive. Many people have aligned themselves behind others who have taken stances that are incredibly rude and offensive, and when given the opportunity to denounce those views for themselves, have elected not to denounce.

The part about people showing their true colors rings very true to me. There are people in my life I think significantly less of and while I'm not going to go out of my way to be confrontational about it, they have said and/or endorsed things that are disgusting things to say or endorse. People I was previously close to. People I'm related to.

Phase out starts at 75k for an individual and 150k for a couple.

An individual making 250k a year would not see any of their 2k because it would phase out entirely.

Hell a couple making 250,000 would also not receive anything because a combined 4,000 stimulus would phase out entirely after 230,000 so it would take multiple children to leave any amount remaining and it would still be greatly reduced by the phasing.

And just as an aside, Corrik any time you are talking about "defunding the police" I want you to instead take a moment and replace "defund the police" with "reallocate police funding". I think if you were to make that adjustment suddenly the structure of your posts would fall apart with how far you are stretching the phrase.

And yes I know there are people who want police departments to simply stop existing and have absolutely zero funding. I don't care about those people. Don't pretend like those people existing magically invalidates my position which is "reallocate police funding in responsible ways".
