After leaving deep sea research you can go back for a difficult dungeon. Ultima Weapon is at the bottom and there is a GF to draw from him. The enemies along the way are pretty difficult as well so it's not for the faint of heart and the save point near the bottom is invisible so you'll want to use Siren's Move/Find ability to find it and save before the boss.

I always start with the kid that runs around balamb. You can win Mini Mog from him and aside from mini mog his cards aren't completely unbeatable. The cards you start with are pretty awful so it's a good place to start. Then the doctor has better cards you can win better cards there. Also go to Zell's house in Balamb and win the Zell card from her. By this point in the game you might have been given a few strong cards after winning fights so you might be better off than the normal "starter cards" anyways so that should help.

Oh, as soon as TT is available I chase down the running kid to win Mini Mog, then I pick up Quistis from the Trepe Fans and then straight to the doctor to load up on the other relatively strong cards.

I never cast card on enemies for the playing card itself. I would do it because when you defeat an enemy with Card you get AP (for your GF abilities) but you gain 0 XP so your characters stay low leveled.

Eh, I like the dollet grind because it's just a simple way to drop an hour or two in the very beginning of the game to get yourself a leg up. Getting access to the -ara or -aga spells isn't even the highlight. For me the highlight is getting some fast levels on the 3 GFs because you can end up spreading them out, one to each party member and you unlock a lot of their good GF abilities without having to painstakingly use Card a bunch of times. It's not overly complex and it only takes as long as you want to spend on it. But that's me.

If you do another playthrough my favorite way to abuse the junction system is during the SeeD mission.

1) Get to the part where you are leaving the courtyard.

2) Equip all 3 GFs on Seifer

3) Stay on the bridge and get into random encounters.

4) Attack Zell and Squall until they are knocked out.

5) Fight encounters with Seifer until you get bored.

He will level up but Zell and Squall will not. Eventually you will have access to enemies with -ara and -aga spells to draw from them and you can unlock a LOT of important abilities on Shiva, Ifrit and Quezacotl. You can spend a few hours grinding the bridge before moving on and then Selphie steps in (at level 7 or whatever level Squall is) and all the experience on Seifer just disappears and doesn't get held against the party.

Was it "4th" or was it "2 people died at the same time but it told you that you were 4th instead of 5th"?

Because if 4th and 5th are eliminated at the same time it will generally be around +0 for both.

You generally need to average 6-7 wins a run, but you can play arena infinitely, certainly. But even if your average is slightly worse than that you can end up spending significantly less than 150 gold per run.

As an IRS employee I can confirm I've seen many a tax return from people without social security numbers and with no citizenship. We will assign an ITIN (individual tax identification number) to just about anyone so their income can be counted and taxed. And since most illegal immigrants are those who overstayed their Visas they likely had an ITIN that they were already using and continued to use.

And the kicker is that these people are not eligible for many of the same tax credits that citizens are eligible for so their effective tax rate is often HIGHER than that of your average American. They are getting shafted and still paying their dues to stray in good standing.

So let's not buy into the BS assumption that they are all living here tax free, thanks.

Please read things before pretending like they say what you think they say. The main point of the article is that he believes hearthstone is as far into the 'created by' end of the spectrum as he believes it's going to get. And he thinks there are some tweaks in order to prevent the possible infinite generation of cards. Nothing mentioned says that hearthstone does not still require skill to play.

My dad had an aneurysm when he was 39 and only survived because there was someone standing literally next to him when it happened. Even then he had to have corrective brain surgery and spend a long time in physical therapy re learning how to walk and things like that.

It's incredibly scary.

It's like watching a slow motion train wreck, I couldn't help myself but finish.

On turn 12 you tracking into stormhammer, and that's fine. But then you play big whelp, which is not. You have 9 mana left.
Stormhammer + Big Whelp + 1drop misses hero power, which is awful. He is at 10 health (7+3) and you can count on 3+2 repeated damage and put him on a 1 turn clock if you have bow + hero power. You already had enough in hand that the card draw doesn't do anything for you. Stormhammer + Hero Power + Ooze + Faerie Dragon is the objectively correct play. It puts your opponent to 5 instead of 7 which is very relevant when you have a 3 attack weapon equipped.

Yes your opponent had answers, such as freeze face. But unless you can see their cards you dont know that, and so you need to be putting them in positions where you will WIN if they dont have the answer that very single turn. Instead you put them in a position where even if you weren't frozen all you could do from hand would be to take them to 2.

This is how every single game of Hearthstone plays out. It would be like chainsaws randomly dropping from the ceiling during NBA playoff games. "Sorry Lakers fans, Lebron got dismembered."

That is legitimately the gameplay you people are defending. It will never, ever, ever be defensible. The RNG bullshit 100% needs to be toned down or disappear entirely.

You kept a 4 drop on mulligan without a 2 or 3drop in hand.

Yes you had Scavenger's Ingenuity into whatever rush minion it gave you, but against mage that feels slow. At the very least if you are taking that line you can toss Corrosive breath because you wont have a turn to play it until at least turn 5 because no play before then will fit it, even with coin.

You then drew a 2drop on 2 and PLAYED the dormant 5/4 which wont wake up until turn 4 rather than giving yourself the guaranteed draw into a better turn 3 play. If you ingenuity on 2 you will have either a 4/6 rush on 3 or a 6/3 rush on 3 (which then draws one of two cards). You threw away a strong turn 3 play for a 5/4 minion on turn 4 which MIGHT attack face, or might do something dumb depending on what your opponent fields.

You get immediately punished by drawing Zixor which had a 50/50 chance of being buffed and in your hand at this point. (and if you whiffed on the ingenuity you still had the option to corrosive breath + coin + dormant minion on 3 rather than run your 6/3 into a 3/2). You then WASTE your coin to get the ingenuity down immediately. You had an option on 3 to play Animal companion and use your mana efficiently. 4/2 goes face and he will trade it down. 4/4 contests board and requires a ping. 2/4 contests board and requires a ping as well. All 3 results are solid and give you your coin in hand. With coin in hand going into 4 you have the option to ingenuity + coin + 6/3 rush (if it's useful) . But most likely since guaranteed you aren't getting a 4/6 rush at this poing ingenuity is not a great card except to refill your hand because it draws you a card which in turn draws you another card. But you don't need to refill. So I suggest the Animal Companion on 3 is correct in this spot and it gives you a much more flexible turn 4, rather than locking yourself into either Feywing only or having to play a 3drop and nothing else. Another consideration is that you are giving up a turn 6 coin + Dinotamer, which by playing 1 turn earlier gives your opponent 1 less draw to have an answer. Now we can see from the replay that your opponent had Dragoncaster + Rolling Fireball in hand, but it's by no means guaranteed they will have the same turn answer and it's worth keeping the option open.

Do I need to continue? You misplayed. You made plays that were incorrect. Every sub optimal play you make affects the game state and reduces your chance to win and increases the opportunity for your opponent to get RNG that saves them.

Apparently I'm addition to all the Sky House stuff, Sky Williams owes some $350,000 to various people who have loaned him money over the years.

In some instances he lied and said it was because his father had cancer and the money was to pay for treatment. And then after they found out his dad didn't have cancer, Sky said that his dad had lied to him about having cancer and that he (the dad) used the money on some kind of penis surgery.

Now presidents should be held to a higher standard in their conduct just in general. If I wanted to go to a bar on a wednesday afternoon I don't think there would be any newspaper articles written about me. But if the President of the Country chooses to spend his time that way, it's a problem and it would cause a stir. And no, it's not illegal, but it displays a lack of judgement and an inefficient use of his time.

I think you're splitting hairs.

I think congress should be able to access anyone's taxes if there is justification for doing so.

And I think "running for president" is automatic justification. So I wouldn't say having his tax information is holding him to a higher standard than any other person should be held to if they are running for president. If I ran for president I would expect that my tax information is relevant information to my candidacy and I'm just some guy.

My understanding was that we didn't realize how large a percentage of people could be asymptomatic carriers, and we didn't realize how long it took before someone was showing symptoms. Without those combined factors it would be more reasonable to suggest that you could save masks for the people who are sick. But when you have such a large group of people spreading the virus with no symptoms at all then it becomes prudent to throw a mask on everyone.

I had OW open on my phone for about an hour or so while I was watching a movie :D

But honestly you should just regularly stream whatever game or genre of games you will find most palatable. If you like retro games in general you could rotate between a few games that have almost nobody playing them that way you can be found by "the people who randomly happened to be checking the metal slug streams" and "the people who randomly happened to be checking the double dragon streams" and "the people who randomly happened to be checking the [whatever other obscure game that few people play] streams". If your hook is getting people who enjoy the nostalgia of old games then they will be more likely to watch your next stream if it also hits that nostalgia button.

If I followed someone because I enjoyed their vintage metal slug stream that I randomly found, I might not be keen on watching the next day when I see the same person go live playing the super popularized arena shooter overwatch that I'm too old to care about. But if I saw them streaming Bubble Bobble the next day I'd probably say 'hell yeah, i remember that shit'.

At least that's what makes more sense to me. Alternatively you could pick a popular game and just stream it exclusively and regularly and mentally prepare yourself to be buried beneath hundreds of other people playing the same game. But the plan there would be to have enough polish on your content, that when you DO get that person who only watches overwatch streams who decides "heck, i'll scroll down and check out a stream that no one else is watching", that they are impressed enough by what they see that they will tune in regularly. And once that lightning strikes a few times you can find yourself moving up in the algorithm and being less buried.

(I'm by no means a professional streamer, this is merely how things appear to work from my perspective as someone who watches a lot of streamers of varying popularity)
