I think that was PSM.

PC Accelerator was also a magazine that basically was PC Gamer and Maxim combined, but it wasn't video game characters in swimsuits, just models. I have an issue of that one, mostly just kept it because it had an article declaring that when Halo came out it was going to be the "Best PC Exclusive of 2000".

The problem was that they wanted a 2D beat-em-up, but unlike Batman Returns where they gave it to a company who knew how to make good beat-em-ups (Konami), they gave it to Acclaim, who thought using the Mortal Kombat 2/3 game engine would be a good idea.

I know exactly how my voice sounds because it is exactly my father's. And I don't mean it kind of sounds like it, I mean that even my family members need to see who is talking to know which one of us it is.

That said, I have kind of a stoner surfer dude voice, so not a huge fan. Still, it is oddly relaxing to people so I usually make a good first impression without trying that hard.

I am waiting on mine to be delivered, although I got it with Origins as well since I never beat the original, so I will be playing that first before playing this one. Hoping Origins doesn't crash/glitch out nearly as much as the original did...

The biggest problem with DRM is most of it is cracked within a week or two (very rarely more then that) of release, yet most companies keep it on their games for several years (or permanently) so the only people it is hurting are the ones who buy their games legally. I honestly believe that the advent of digital and regular sales has done more to combat piracy then DRM has ever done. I mean, why get a pirated version of a game from a shady site that has god knows what kinds of viruses and spyware included with it when I can go on GoG and pick it up for less then $10, maybe even less if I am willing to wait for a sale? And I am guarenteed to have it work on my system or I get my money back!

"The Cloud" makes a lot more sense given the type of storage it is talking about (accessible from any computer) vs. softdrive, which really is not what cloud storage is about at all. A more appropriate term would be "remote storage" but "the cloud" is a much more sexy term.

No, because fireworks only go a maximum of 300 feet into the sky. And that is an extreme case, most never get above half that.

Commercial planes typically fly 100X higher then that, and most private planes (Prop planes, not jets. Those fly higher then commercial planes) are flying at least 5X that high.

Laser light shows, conversely, have been proven to blind pilots and cause planes to crash.

IDK, but I do remember that the coronavirus started spreading in my county because the school not to far from my house had a teacher who was the wife of the first known case in my county, and she ended up spreading it to basically the entire school.

I am a big proponent of homeschooling, but I also know that most people aren't going to put in the time and effort to do it the right way, and the districts certainly aren't going to give parents the right tools and training to do it the right way. I think you are going to have to, but force everyone to wear masks the entire day (good luck with forcing a kid to do that!)

Yes, but I haven't had to in almost 20 years at this point, and that was only because my father insisted on teaching me how to when I had my permit. Plus the argument of "you should learn in case you ever have to" is getting less and less relavent since unless you are buying a million dollar sports car, most new cars you have to specifically ask the manufacturer to make a manual for you. And it costs extra, so why do it?

I was a Linux PC gamer about 10 years ago. I loved it. Eventually dual booted Windows because my friends wanted to play the latest Battlefield game at the time.

Linux is actually a great choice if you are into classic PC gaming, much easier to setup and run the right stuff there then in modern Windows.

I actually liked ME1 the most, simply because it was a good mix of action and RPG.

ME2, while improving some things (mainly making weapons and armor upgrades resource based vs. random loot, more involved branching paths), also made a lot of things worse (simpler RPG mechanics, the scanning system, needing WAY too many resources to upgrade some things)

And ME3, well, the endings (or lack thereof) isn't even 1/4 of the problem with that game. It is basically just Gears of War with a Mass Effect skin.

Haven't played Andromeda, probably never will unless it is gifted to me (or Origin does another free month of Access)

I do it myslef, lawn services are a rip-off (I think the base price is like $25 per mow) unless you have something so large it would require an industrial tractor to mow it in a reasonable amount of time. I can do mine in about an hour with a push mower (and I technically can get away with only doing the front once a week, the back has so much tree cover I can skip a week if I want to).

No, not because I am staunchly against it, but just because my dog is so big he can't comfortably sit on most of it. Plus he sees anything I sit on as "mine" and doesn't want to try to take it over. I pay him the same respect, he has a bed in pretty much every room of my house and in most cases they are more comfortable then my own furniture (memory foam dog beds FTW!). Despite this, he still insist on just laying on the floor most of the time.

Depends on the game, in action and RPG games story just seems to get in the way of the gameplay. It might keep me interested for a few hours, but the majority of the time I am going to be forgetting the story and focusing on playing the game and if that isn't fun, no amount of story writing is going to save it.

In adventure games I consider story being a reward for solving a puzzle, so in that case I want a really good reward/story.

That would be my vote, can't even begin to have a discussion on an issue when it all boils down to everybody who believes in position A automatically has to believe in positions B - Z else their voice on position A will never be heard.

Update: Feeling pretty good today, spent most of the day wearing a t-shirt, which would have been unheard of just yesterday. Plus I noticed after mowing the lawn the pain reduced quite a bit, so I am going to try exercising more to see if getting the blood flowing helps ease the pain.

Exactly the reason I got it. Had Chicken Pox when I was like 1 or 2, hence why I got Shingles so young (normally you get it in your 50's, I am 36).

That is what the doc put me on, was worried about the dizziness and nausa since I get vertigo easily, but so far no problems (other then the pills being giant 1g tablets). I have been making sure to follow the directions and take it with my meals.

Oddly enough, my diet is already kind of like that and I didn't even know it, LOL. Only real adjustment I would have to make would be less root vegetables (I LOVE carrots).

Thanks, I believe it. I don't know if it is the worst pain I ever felt, but it is at least top 3. Definitely the worst lingering pain that didn't go away quickly.

So last week, I started noticing pain around my lower left torso. Initially, I thought it was from sleeping wrong and just ignored it. Then last Sunday, I noticed a couple of red bumps in that area. I assumed it was bug bites, got one of those pens for it, and ignored it. Then Tuesday, I noticed a lot of red bumps and extreme pain in my lower left torso, to the point where I couldn't even wear a shirt comfortably. So I called my doctor, and after a telemedicine session he determined I have Shingles.

He gave me an anti-viral and antibiotic medication (he thought one of the blisters might be infected), which I have been taking. The pain seems to have dispersed, and I can actually wear a shirt for the first time since Tuesday. Notice I said "dispersed" because the pain has reduced in my torso, but has spread into the back of my head and my leg (both on the left side). Plus I still have another 1 - 3 weeks of this before I am recovered (assuming I don't have nerve damage, then I could have the pain for another year). At least I got it on my torso and not my face, then I would have to worry about going blind...

Depends on the games, right now I am at 3. Normally I have one that I play with friends (currently Empyrion), and one I play solo (currently Final Fantasy XIII). If game #2 is annoying and/or boring, I'll have another easy to pick up game (currently Ultimate Doom) that I play on the side to cleanse my pallet so I don't completely rage quit #2.

I used to do 5 games (one for each weekday) but I found it hard to focus on them when I did that.

I haven't had a haircut since January. Thought of getting one in March before the shutdown, but most of the places I would have gone to were already closed and I didn't want to go to a barber I didn't trust (I am very squimish about people cutting my hair). I definitely need one, LOL.

I have let my facial hair grow though, and after about 2 months of no shaving I am impressed that I can actually grow a decent beard. Since my hair is thinning on top, I am tempted to just buzz that down and keep my beard.

If you think that is bad, on PC the single player and the multiplayer are two separate installs. Both of which show as 100GB.

Granted, I imagine once you install one the other one installs for a lot less space (I hope), but it is still rediculous to keep them separate if both are still gigantic.

It looks like it has to do with the music rights.

I feel like that is something easily fixable, WWE dubs over music does it all the time with their old PPVs when they don't have a license anymore to use it. Hell, Beavis and Butthead cut out all the music videos when they stream their stuff (which honestly defeats the purpose of watching their show...)

Sure, it would be obvious since "Cleveland Rocks" is pretty much synonymous with the show, but at least you could still watch it.

Fair enough. No one seems to talk about the multiplayer though I haven't really looked up anything about DOOM to be honest.

To be fair, the multiplayer was the worst part of DOOM 2016. It wasn't horrible, just very bog standard for a game that went so far out of it's way to buck modern trends at the time.
