Wendy's, I prefer the sea salt fries because they aren't as salty. Plus they leave the skin on.

Action adventure more like.

It has some adventure elements in that you need to find certain items or complete certain tasks to progress and it is non-linear, but it is not a pure adventure game.

It also isn't pure action because it isn't akin to say Contra or Super Mario Brothers.

etc.

Not the same because you don't know the % at which it might happen. Statistically those things are generally very low. Checking if she might get breast cancer it gave her a very very high chance. Enough of a high chance it wasn't worth taking the risk of it not happening.

Stop being so Krazy.

so if someone had a high chance of skin cancer they should get pieces removed?

testicular cancer?

etc?

If it is going to help them and they want to do that, yes.

Plus skin cancer is a bad example, the only reason you would get a high chance of skin cancer is if you weren't taking the proper precautions out in the sun on a regular basis. It is not genetic.

I don't think we would ever get to that point, and that is a good thing.

The one thing about Netflix shows is they know when to stop, and the thing about Simpsons and Family Guy is they don't. Plus with Netflix you inherently aren't "filling a time slot", you are making a season every year or two and if people like it and want more, you make another (if you have story to tell). If not, then you have tons of other shows to watch (both original or just available). Both Simpsons and Family Guy just feel like they have been going on for as long as they have because Fox needs something on Sunday night and they were popular 10 - 20 years ago.

If it is a big company (and a smart one) they won't fire them for giving 2 weeks notice. In fact it is usually pretty hard to get fired at a bigger company and takes a while. The only way you are getting fired on the spot is usually if you do something illegal like attack a co-worker or get caught stealing some shit. Otherwise you will usually see it coming from a mile away as they would prefer you quit instead (since then they don't have to pay any severance).

If the player can somehow mark the map to remember where to come back later, I think it would make things 1000 times better.

It would be even betterer if the game marked that itself.

Yes and no. The former requires the player to recognise that there's something there and he will need to come back later on, and the later gives this away. So it depends on what kind of experience the game is trying to give to the player.

That is probably more a problem with modern games in general. Games can give you tons of cool options like marking a map, saving anywhere, etc. Where it gets to be annoying is when they give you those options but take control away for them. Like marking a map for you or checkpoints. Checkpoints are always a big example of this for me because checkpoints fundamentally changed how gameplay worked as they require the game to not unintentionally screw over the player so that they need to start over from the beginning. Whereas if you can save whenever and wherever you want gameplay options are much more open. At that point it is the player's fault if he needs to replay hours of stuff because they weren't saving often enough.

The main one I dislike are long, linear sections where it just feels like you are following a single path all the way to a boss, then you get deposited into an area near the beginning. At that point, why even make your game Metroidvania style? I felt Hollow Knight had a ton of this and it just made the game annoying to play for me.

Also, I think backtracking is fine, but the levels need to be designed in such a way that it doesn't take too long to backtrack, and the areas are varied enough that you don't see the same things over and over again. For example, the original Metroid had this problem really bad. Granted, the levels weren't incredibly complicated, but some sections took like 10 minutes to get through, then you had to backtrack through them again just to get back to the beginning.

Really, just follow Super Metroid. I feel it is probably the best Metroidvania style game to this day.

If I'm going to be honest, I thought San Andreas had the weakest stations out of any of the games I've played in the series (mainly just GTA3, Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA5).

That's funny; I was going to say San Andreas had one of the best soundtracks. I played the same ones you did and did enjoy them, but I like San Andreas' music the most.

I think that compared to Vice City it was definitely a huge step down. The Vice City soundtrack really felt like it embodied the 80's and if I am being honest probably shaped the love of 80's music I have to this day. In theory I should love San Andres more since I grew up in the 90's but it honestly felt like they just threw a bunch of late 80's/early 90's songs together and called it a day. Hell, they didn't even really have a grunge station in the time period when grunge was at it's peek.

The talk radio on San Andreas was much better then Vice City though, I will give it that.

Despite the fact that "there are so many kids that need to be adopted", the adoption process is long, tedious, and most people who want to adopt are not actually qualified to do it. It's not like adopting a pet where pretty much anyone can do it, they actually have standards.

Not only do you have to have steady income (and make over a certain threshold), but you have to go through a background check, have social services inspect your home to make sure it meets their standards, take something like 50 - 100 hours of training courses, then once you are a "certified adoption household", you are put on a waiting list for a child. You can be on that waiting list anywhere from a few months to several years (more if you are looking to adopt a newborn). Then once you have the adopted child, you need to have regular check-ins from social services to make sure the adopted children are being taken care and are happy. Anything looks fishy and the kid is taken away and put back into the adoption system.

Conversely, what does it take to have a child naturally? A woman being pregnant for 9 months and 24 - 48 hours of labor. Not to undermine child birth but that does sound a bit easier don't you think?

Then people like Angelina Jolie get to adopt instantly due to money.

And then there is that.

When you think about it too, it is kind of fucked up. She basically goes to a foreign country, plops down hundreds of thousands of dollars and takes home a kid. Hell, she even got some US laws to bend for her for her first adoption. If anything she is treating them more like pets. I mean I adopted a dog and take care of him just fine, but I am smart enough to know that doesn't qualify me to be a good parent to an actual human.

That is one of the main reasons Ultima 4 is probably the best RPG. You have 1 quest, there is no "big bad", it is just a spiritual journey that you complete at your leisure.

Closest thing I can think of in the present is Breath of the Wild. The quest is "Defeat Ganon", your given it almost immediately (after the tutorial that is), you can complete it anytime, and the rest of the game quests are only to make Ganon weaker or yourself stronger.

Now in the past this could pass as a $40 game (Bravely Default, for example) but now that the switch is a console the developers think that entitles them to a $60 game. Yea, that doesn't work for skilled labor. In our company we have a policy that it takes 3 months to effectively train someone to do the job they are hired for. Plus that "temp" would legally be entitled to time and a half due to contract positions needing to be payed more then full time due to their temporary nature. So effectively we would be paying two and a half people and getting maybe half a person worth of work out of them. Not worth it in the least.

I had a girlfriend who gave me porn for my birthday once. She even liked "fooling around" while watching it with me.

Shame she was a psycho or we probably would be married today.

except no, they don't.

there is not one person in the entire world who is paying several hundred dollars for a phone plan.

prove me wrong.

do something definitive for once instead of being a chicken shit

You could offer something too ya know. I don't own one so how am I going to provide a bill? By several I mean $100-$200 give or take so perhaps you prefer 'couple hundred' instead. Whatever.

My bill is $84 WITH all of the fees and other crap. And if anything I pay way more then most people. Even my father pays something like $45 a month.

It almost sounds like you are getting your information from like 10 years ago when smartphone plans cost an arm and a leg.

Yea, I wore my parents down and got a hamster from a pet store when I was like 8. Surprisingly it actually lived a full life for a hamster despite being raised by a kid who had no idea how to take care of a pet.

Droid Turbo

Almost 4 years old at this point but gets the job done. When I do upgrade I will probably get the latest Z series or whatever Motorola has at the time.

I get that rural areas are cheaper, but how the fuck is there anywhere in America where houses are $12,000? Are you sure you're not missing a digit somewhere? RVs are way more expensive than that and that's like a shitty version of a house. Even a lot of just normal cars are more expensive.

Here (Rochester NY) you can get a foreclosure/auction for about that much in the inner city (Typically in the $5K - $15K range). I think houses go for around $40K - $60K if you are just buying them outright in the same area.
