Growing up, it was a big bowl of oatmeal almost every day.

In my twenties it was a rotation of grilled cheese, sausages, omelettes, and sometimes oatmeal (especially if it's cold) though on weekends I would skip breakfast until after my morning ride which could be several hours or more.

These days, its likely to be a can of ensure to tide me through until my meal for the day. Oatmeal would be nice but milk's too expensive, and making oatmeal with water is just disgusting.

It is? I always have my oatmeal like that. I never use milk because it is hard to control the boiling and I don't feel like cleaning my stove first thing in the morning.

That was the biggest complaint I saw. The general verdict seemed to be that it was an alright game, but way too short for a $60 title. There's a lot of room to challenge the "length=value" philosophy so many people apply to games, particularly where it tends to result in games that should be shorter being overly padded and overstaying their welcome for the sake of seeming more like they're worth their cost, but I can also understand feeling like one has wasted their money by getting so little playtime after spending so much.
I think a shorter $60 game is justified if there is incentive to replay it (no, not just achievements, actual fun reasons). For example, I don't mind $60 for Metroid Dread because it was fun to go back and play it over and over again trying to find all of the sequence breaks and getting the best time. And I will go back and play it again pretty soon now that Dread Mode got released.

My understanding is the main complaint with The Order 1886 was that it was very linear, short, and had almost no reason to replay it.

Is that the game that everyone complained was way too short?

From what I saw, it didn't look particularly bad or good, just kind of in-line with everything else coming out at that time. Hell, it still looks like a generic Sony first party title minus the open world.

Maybe steptwins Even sexier

While I think hes good with kids, Im not sure about it marriage

And if thats what makes it comparable, that opens it up a lot more to the point where being comparable almost doesnt matter. But I guess it depends on how you look at it. Like I said, I think relationships are fine as long as its legal, not toxic, and they love each other. Regardless of age gap, height difference, etc

"Age gap, hight difference, etc..." falls under superficial compatibility. Like if someone cares about those things, they are red flags that they probably aren't looking for any serious type of relationship, or they aren't mature enough to be in a serious relationship. I mean sure, if you ask me "what is your fantasy?" for someone I am going to have a specific list of qualities. But I also know that if I want someone that isn't just eye candy that I am going to have to sacrifice several of those quantities in favor of meaningful stuff that would make me want to actually spend time with them.

I guess. I still dont really think people need to be in a comparable point, depending on what comparable is. Like Im not sure my BF and I arent at comparable points. Like life-wise, hes been married and divorced twice with two kids. And I havent been married, nor want to get married. And dont have, nor need, any kids But I just think as long as you love each other, are both consenting adults, and have a good relationship, its fine. I wouldnt let an age gap or whatever separate them
Is he also at a point where he doesn't want to get married or have any more kids?

Then I would say that is "comparable". It is less about history and more about what you are looking to get out of being in a relationship together. Yes, history plays a part in that too since it can impact the current relationship (like maybe helping take care of his kids?), but less so.

Im not even sure that matters, though. Especially since people have reasons for whatever theyre doing. For example, someone could have a good job, but stay with their parents because its cheaper and helps them both out. Why move out like early if theres no reason, for example
That is a different situation than I was describing though. My example was someone who needs to live with their parents because they are working on their education and can't get a job to afford their own place without sacrificing their studies. Your example is someone who chooses to because they are helping their parents out while saving money for something else (like possibly a house they can raise a family in with their significant other).

Not really, it is more important that whoever your dating is at a comparable point in your life. It would be weird if you were dating someone who was still in school and lived with their parents while you have a decent job and own a house, even if you were of the same age. Conversely, if both of you are divorced with similar aged kids, it doesn't really matter if you are 10-20 years apart age wise.

Japan boils some meats in water for prep for certain dishes. It must kill half the flavor, but they infuse the product by adding stuff to it as a part of another dish usually.

Lots of Asian countries have boiled meat, but of course it's boiled in broth or seasoned water where the extracted meat juices are incorporated into the soup. That's kinda nice. Kinda like beef stew.

Speaking of stew, that's probably our most compatible nomenclature. To stew a meat. We just don't have many varieties of stewing that I've seen served here commonly. Usually all foreign stuff. Vietnamese are great at it.

I consider that more braising.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braising

Yea, you "boil" a pot roast or stew beef, but you brown it first and use cooking liquids to enhance the flavor. That is essentially the opposite of what you are doing with corned beef and salt pork where you are boiling it to remove flavor (specifically the salt) and use it to flavor other things.

This mentality has always seemed pretty silly to me. People play games to have fun. That fun - story included - isn't something that has to be "earned" or treated as a "reward." It's the fundamental point of the activity. For some, overcoming those challenges is part of that fun, but that's no more or less legitimate than people who have more fun mindlessly button mashing their way through the story. The only person you can "cheat" in a single-player game is yourself.
Sure, I understand that. But for me gameplay is fun, and rewards are the reason I play a game. If all I cared about was the story, I would rather read a summary or watch a Let's Play. Basically what I did with Resident Evil 6 because there was no way in hell I was subjecting myself to that game's frustrations after 5.

I could see people not liking trying the same section of a game 10-20 times, training yourself to be good enough to get through it. However, I think the feeling of actually getting through a tough section in a game far outweighs the frustrations you felt getting there. It is the reason retro games are so popular still, just aren't as many modern games that let you have that feeling anymore.

Probably Square-Enix. I don't think Capcom or Konami would want to be bought by Sony given their current standings, and if Sega were to be bought, Nintendo makes the most sense given their prior relationship (which is highly unlikely, Nintendo would rather use them as a second party developer or make certain games Nintendo exclusive).

Also makes the most sense, since making Square-Enix Sony exclusive is probably the best way for Sony to take away market share from Nintendo in Japan.

I get the feeling you don't have a concept of how big driveways are in my area, or how small most snowblowers are.

A 20 inch blower like mine (average) has to make at least 12 passes to cover a 3 car wide driveway (more in my case because I had a foot of snow and didn't want it to get stuck) and each pass is about 100 feet. So assuming I made 20 passes, that means I covered 2000 feet in 10 minutes. Yes, slower then the average walking speed of 20 minutes per mile, but you also have to consider turning, redirecting the blower, chewing through ice patches, etc.

So in that case, I think I made pretty good time.

Sony is supporting a platform , the games are just an afterthought. Meanwhile, Microsoft is the opposite. They are trying to sell you games, the Xbox is an afterthought for people unwilling to play those games on PC. So of course Microsoft is going to support older games on newer platforms while Sony is going to be releasing newer games on older platforms for longer. Two different strategies for the same goal: making money.

That said, the 360 numbers are still more impressive considering that they did that with pretty much no support from Japan, while PS3 sold almost 10 million units there.

I think this is a good example of "everyone is racist whether they want to admit it or not". The difference being that you have to distinguish between bad racism and just inherit racism that you can't really change.

For example, I work with a lot of people from India (given I am in tech). Obviously due to the fact that language is not their first language we both have to struggle a bit to understand each other. I can't talk in my usual fast, mumbling tone that I would normally talk in. I also have to listen closely to what they are saying and fully understand it compared to if I am talking to someone who speaks English as a first language. Does that make me like talking to them less then someone who I don't have to do those things with? Sure. Is that racist? Absolutely.

The difference is that I understand that it is fully something that I just have to work through and I can't change my behavior because of it. I can't give them less opportunities, I can't avoid talking to them, and I certainly can't get mad at them for it. I can't change my feelings on the situation, I can only not let it be a problem for either of us. Hell, I will even admit that the culture and food is way better then my native one.

Then by your own definition In-N-Out isn't fast food.
It isn't, thought that was kind of a given.

Lol.
They make everything to order, by definition that is just a restaurant, not fast food.

Not only that. But it weird how everyone says their crap, but they still sell to a ton of people. Obviously, people are eating it

I am pretty sure for most people it is the only option. Ever town in the world probably has at least one McDonalds (some probably 2-5).

That said, it is not horrible, but I really only eat there when I have no other options. Even then, I never eat their beef or fish.

That is a bit of a complex question. The short answer is that hardly ever happens unless it is a business that you shouldn't apply for because any good business is going to go through recruiters (either hired by the company or a 3rd party firm) that know how to navigate the legalities of that. If the owner themselves is doing the recruiting then it is a shitty and most likely shady business.

Most times when you apply to a job, they want you to tell them how much you deserve, not the other way around. They really don't want to be in a position where they offer what they think is a good deal, only for you to laugh in their face because it is half of what you make currently. And yea, part of that is being reasonable on your end and knowing how much you are worth (and what you can reasonably get).

Finally, I know in most places I have worked there is a rule that recruiters can't contact you about internal postings (jobs within the same company you currently work for), but you are encouraged to search for and apply to them if you are interested.

why is Anachronox in that list? it definitely needs a followup, it left off on a cliffhanger and probably will never be continued.
I remember back in 2010 that Tom Hall (the creator) said that if he never got the chance to make a sequel by 2020, he would just write up the script on his website for people to read. Obviously he hasn't done that yet...

Although he could make a sequal since Square Enix basically said that anyone who wants to make an Anachronox game can do so with their blessing.

My first job was doing odd jobs at my grandfather's business. Worked that for 10 years until I was legal to work a real job (16).
