What makes Steve so broken

I bought 4 boxes years ago for $39 because this podcast I listen to "Pod Save America" was hawking it on their show. I tried the Cocoa and Frosted, and threw both of them right into the garbage. I emailed the owner about how I didn't like the taste and he gave me a full refund. And I threw the rest of it in the garbage because I knew it would not taste good. Is there a certain milk you're suppose to use with this cereal? I used 2% milk.

This is one of the ways that the system is rigged. It is absolute bullshit that you can escape the graduated tax system just by getting your money through things you own becoming more valuable rather than actually working for a living.

The USA tax system is supposed to tax the rich higher, so they pay up to 50% depending on how wealthy they are. But with capital gains, that goes down to 20% and even worse, it's a flat rate. So someone like Bezos can get a 60% discount on their taxes. Meanwhile middle class people get way less of a tax break, and low income people get no tax break at all.

That's the part that matters.

If they can create affordable "food" in lab that can be transported and distributed to places that truly need it, I don't know how anyone can see this as a bad thing.

The dude made more money in a hour then most people will in their entire lives, Hell he made more money in a hour then 4 people will make in a lifetime, Let that sink in and then realize that there are people who think he deserves more money and that this system is just perfectly fine

Shouldn't Bezos still need to pay it then? He might not for his 2025 taxes considering he'll have moved, but he spent 2023 in Washington, so he should pay the capital gains tax regardless of where he moves? Heck, even next year, he's probably made over 250k in profits already, meaning he'd still have taxes to pay Washington for the 2 month's he's lived there this year.

Or I might just be totally misunderstanding this whole topic.

Whatever. I like Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby, but the Fantastic Four have always been C-list superheroes masquerading as A-listers to me, so I have zero expectations or desire to see another movie.

If it gets rave reviews, I might catch it, but beyond that probably in the realm of films I'll read what the stinger was and move one, like the Ant Mans or the Eternals.

Those can tie in with political beliefs, so it's important to actually dig into those questions just to be sure.

I won't have an issue with a person who thinks corporate income tax should be lower or whatever. That's a political believe that doesn't matter for a relationship at all.

But if their conservative belief is that they think that the govt shouldn't have a social welfare system or they have various conspiracy beliefs (which applies for the left as well), then that's different.

People are generally using politics as a proxy for certain beliefs, but if you're going to attempt a relationship it's best to actually ask and assess specific beliefs and come to a conclusion based on that, instead of assuming based on what they say their political party is.

There are also some things where it's just kinda clear that it would lead to differing values.
Like, I think voting for Trump in 2024 does imply negative things that I wouldn't value in a partner.
