Before the season I would have thought even with Prime that CU would need a miracle to go into Oregon and win. After a 3-0 start I think Oregon is still the favorite, but if CU plays well they can definitely pull it off.

CU being a 21 point underdog is laughable though, are you kidding me. And it sucks we cant see Travis Hunter play.

I was wrong with him seeing his sister at that point, he remembers her when his father mentions her, but does not see her. I do remember the flirting and bragging. But that horseback scene when he arrives on the island was how he arrived in the TV series, not the books. I will see if I can dig through my kindle later when I have time to find it.

I guess they merged these two chapters in the show.

He did. The giant Monster Association/Garou saga is over, now they are setting up a few different arcs. We just got a pretty sweet Saitama vs. Tatsumaki fight. The big upcoming saga being setup is the Neo Heroes, basically a new hero organization that was set up because the Hero Organization is corrupt. If it follows the webcomic, we should be getting a bunch of mini arcs coming up, similar to how One Punch Man was before the Monster Association attack.

This was already addressed in the episode. Sabine only found him with the help of he other Rock Trolls. They're nomadic and constantly move around. So the only way to find them is with their help, which Thrawn didn't have.

I would buy the "Thrawn just didn't care" excuse way before I would buy "Thrawn got outsmarted by some nomadic hermit crabs 5 miles away from him."

Hopefully we get a good conclusion, this is a great opportunity for Filoni to truly establish how much of a genius Thrawn is to people who didn't read the EU. If he really wants to get his movie he needs to do Thrawn justice and make him a powerful villain

Was I the only one who wasn't really moved by Sabine and Ezra reuniting?

I have a bad feeling the crab people are gonna get slaughtered by the bandits Skoll seems to be temporarily recruiting. Then Sabine has to explain how exactly she got to that galaxy and Ezra rightfully getting annoyed that his sacrifice meant almost nothing.

The show is making it really difficult for me to root for Sabine.

Im glad we have Ezra and Thrawn setup on the board now and hopefully this leads to a good conclusion of the series. But I was also pretty underwhelmed by Ezra just hanging out with hermit crabs for the last 10 years and just acting like nothing happened. Would have been nice if we got to the new galaxy a couple episodes ago and had more time to track him down, make the reuniting more meaningful.

Also, how the heck did Thrawn not find Ezra in those 10 years? Sabine found him in like a day, based off Thrawns intel lol. I hope this is addressed in the later episodes, Thrawn is supposed to be one of the smartest, most calculated, best strategists in all of Star Wars it would be pretty bad if Ezra being so easy to find for Sabine did not somehow figure into his master plan.

The margins on alcohol are insane. Most bars don't even make a penny on their food, it is just there to keep customers from leaving to go snack somewhere else.

I'm always shocked when I see it too, I have just started to assume it must be an age thing. Where I was reading the EU as it came out as I was a teen and by time New Jedi Order rolled around with the Vong I was around 20, but it was the point where I gave up after a few books because they were not good to me at least any more.

I'm working my way through the old EU now, haven't gotten to the New Jedi Order yet, but I wonder why the Vong are polarizing. Is it because they are so alien and so not like a traditional Star Wars species (existing outside the Force and what not)?

Uh no... When Theon lands in the Iron Islands, Asha (his sister) pretends to be a married/pregnant woman named Esgred and Theon spends the entire chapter bragging about himself and hitting on her.

I just feel the need to push back against any and all suggestion that they can or should exist, because they can't and shouldn't.

The Vong were renamed the Grysk in the new canon and are already back as some new galactic threat that Thrawn and his people have been fighting for millennia.

Probably my favorite episode so far, it was just alright, but at least the plot moved along this episode at a reasonable pace. Thrawn seems pretty great so far, I never watched Rebels (I heard he was a bit of a cartoon villain buffoon tho) here at least he seems just like the cold calculated genius he is in the original books.

A bit nitpicky and I know Disney threw all the EU Old Republic canon out the window, but I dont really like Balons speech about the Jedi rising then falling then rising and falling over and over again. Obi Wan says the Jedi protected the Old Republic for a thousand generations. And its always been portrayed that the Sith empire keeps coming back, but they never succeed in beating the Jedi.

It also always made Palpatine and the Empire this time around a little more special, and taking them down more special, because Palpatine actually succeeded in destroying the Jedi and the Republic (unlike the Sith who have tried for a thousand generations before).

Yeah I don't think I could ever watch the anime, the manga itself has so so so so much extra padding and even arcs that feel just like plain filler arcs (Foxy Pirates??)

I am glad I got through it and I enjoy it every week, but when I first picked the manga up several years ago there were a lot of times where it was just an absolute slog to get through. Like every major fight cuts to a flashback at the climax and I just think "Please no, not another 10 chapter flashback about some random character that will never be seen again once Luffy leaves the island."

Thankfully Oda got a lot better with his pacing post time skip, most flashbacks are intertwined much more seamless. If anything he has gone too far the other way w/ this current arc, we are bouncing between massive global events happening w/ major characters all over the world every couple of chapters its tough to remember just what the hell everyone was doing last time we saw them lol

Why was Ahsoka seemingly bouncing from knowing her future after Anakin to not remembering what happened in the Clone Wars? What even was the lesson that Anakin taught her? Just you have to choose to live?

Its actually pretty incredible that Dragon Ball turned out as good as it did when AT only ever planned a handful of chapters ahead. This is nothing like modern mangas like One Piece, Naruto, MHA where the author has a long term plan and an overall goal for the story he wanted to tell.

They are saving all the good stuff for the Switch 2 announcement next year

I'm surprised they didn't even ask about:
-Do they have friends?
-Do they come from a good/stable family?

There have been a lot of Smash rumors going around, Nintendo restocking the Smash Pro controller and Smash Gamecube controllers for the the first time in years, amiibo restocks, things they typically only did before announcing a big Fighter Pass.

I don't think we will get any new character announcements but I wonder if we do get a Brawl/3DS/Wii U Smash port? Subspace Emissary seems like an easy win for Nintendo to put on the Switch. I have a lot less confidence in getting something like an online supported Smash 64 or Melee port.

The show just seems to be moving at a snails pace for me. It was cool seeing a bunch of Clone Wars fan service, but it was basically just Anakin giving a pep talk, a little meh.

I never saw Rebels but I am torn on the space whales, like I guess it makes sense in the Star Wars universe but it also just seems extremely stupid that some whales not only travel through hyperspace in the galaxy, but can make it easily all the way to another galaxy.

I know a lot of people who dont watch any anime who really liked the One Piece Netflix show. I never saw the Cowboy Bepop show but I heard it was terrible and they tried to hard to normalize the more outrageous parts of the anime, which did not work out well.

One Piece doesnt try to normalize the anime much at all, the costumes are ridiculous, the world is ridiculous, the powers are ridiculous, but that just all adds to the charm of the show. Its such a fun world and the Netflix show does so good in capturing all the heart of the anime and really makes you care about the characters.

My city charges 10 cents for them too, but I have never once had someone come up to me in the self check out line and double check what I put for the "How many plastic bags will you use?" question, where it calculates how much extra you owe
