It had the benefit of coming out at just the right time to be an antidote to the 'you have to keep track of 20 different movies' MCU by being an obvious one-off 'check your brain at the door' action flick / CGI spectacle. Legit in my top 10 Marvel films of the past 16 years. Right up there with Werewolf by Night. Madame Web's been described as "suspenseful", "Marvel's first slasher" and "Final Destination meets superheroes".
