How experienced with the AA series are they?

He's beaten all of the mainline AAs, but not the Investigations games. Not sure about his co-host.

For what it's worth, they generally stream on Tuesday nights.

AA6 in general was really good. It felt like a good return to form after 4 and 5 both had some flaws.

The tone of this case feels basically like a conclusion to the game at this point. I can't believe its only the middle case.

The Tusspells theme slaps something fierce.

Tusspells is 26, but 10 years ago she already was the proprietor of a museum? What?

It's a family business. She was presumably trained for it from a young age.

I don't recall if it's explicitly stated that she was in charge at 16, either, or if she was just employed there as part of her family tradition.

Makes me wonder if the spin-off franchise was really designed as a duology rather than the first game just receiving a sequel. Stuff like this suggests it was, but then things like how at the start of this case it tries to hamfist through this weird "oh, don't you remember person/audience. We also had a second case about this that was never mentioned before" makes it feel rather unplanned. I really dig that continuity between games. It's unusual for this franchise.

It absolutely was. In fact, I believe it's been stated that the GAAs were originally written as one singular, very long game, but it was too much to do in one shot and got split up into two.

I've also heard claims that it was planned to be a trilogy but never got the third game, but I believe that those rumors were false/based on misinterpretations.

It sounds like they're actually going to say that Naruhodo was disbarred for defending a guilty man successfully.

Laaaaaaaaaaaame.

It's left ambiguous, but it's almost certain that it's because he revealed state secrets in court during G1-5. I really don't think there's anything that really implies that he was disbarred for defending a guilty man at all.

has been saying that g2-2 is the case after which he can no longer practice law in england, when we already know he's defended someone since?

It goes:

G-4
G2-2
G-5
G2-1

Ryunosuke flashes back to G2-2 after G2-1. He was disbarred after G-5 and remained so as he flashed back to the events of G2-2.

I personally feel like it was a potentially dropped plot point. If I had to guess, it was likely planned to be expanded upon, but got dropped due to time with everything else going on.

It could have been Stronghart doing it since he did have an interest in justice being done in his own way, or it could have been another member of the high up judiciary or even Sholmes, given that Sholmes was actively monitoring, predicting, and countering a lot of the events of both games.

My big problem with G2-3, personally, is

I felt like the actual murder sort of gets forgotten and is ultimately slightly underdeveloped. Dr. Sithe gets almost no screentime, so when it's like "Aha, but Drebber didn't actually do it, Sithe did!", it's like "Oh. Alright then."

Great case, but I wish the actual murder got more focus, because it felt almost unrelated to everything by the end of it all.

Finally finished.

I pieced together a pretty huge chunk of the game, but case 5 was still really good. It was long, but the twists it took were great and were still presented in a suitably dramatic fashion. I really enjoyed it a lot.

...I honestly with that it would have ended with Ryunosuke staying in Great Britain, though. I expected him to leave, but it was such a gut punch and I think that "I still have more to learn here!" would have still made an effective ending. I also outright cried when I saw the daruma with the eye filled in, even if I knew it was coming. I'm so bad with endings like that one.

I'm a bit into the trial now. Heavy G2-5/whole game spoilers:

I'm second-guessing myself despite evidence pointing towards my theories.

My assumption during case 4 was that Jigoku was the killer. The steamship ticket being in evidence, along with the photo of the group including Jigoku's trunk being visible, and his somewhat suspicious movements, had me really suspecting him. But I got to the point where Herlock & Mikotaba catch him on the ship, and I feel like it's a bit too early to have the killer be this overtly obvious. He's definitely heavily involved in the case, but I'm second guessing if he's the killer or not just by virtue of how quickly into case 5 it came up.

And, tbh, it's hard to ignore just how fishy Stronghart has been across both games. I haven't found a precise connection between him and the current case just yet, but I'm just kind of waiting for a strong link to appear because I'll be stunned if that suspicious dude makes it out of these games without being guilty of something. He's felt like a really obvious 'final boss' since he was introduced and it's hard to overlook that, even as other characters start to appear to be more suspicious.

That ending was...abrupt. Very abrupt. I feel like I have a reasonably solid amount of things figured out, so I hope that case 5 can throw in some twists. It sort of feels like there's just one trial day left to wrap things up, so I really hope that there's more to it.

Nope.

Basically, the idea of the run is that I have to roll my team with each new map. I have to try to beat the game with randomized teams every step of the way.

Though, I will get one wildcard pick of my choice each time as well to ensure that it's beatable and that I can ideally recruit as many characters as possible.

It's an interesting dynamic because it's simple enough to appeal to more casual players, and that popularity pulls in the pros who play more popular games, but a lot of people in the middle of those groups really hate the game. Your graveyard list is rough. Franz and the two best early game offensive mages.

At least Seth can literally always save the day. And Salleh later.

All four deaths thus far have been in pairs to some unfortunate panicking.

Lute died to that Fog of War spider chapter early when I didn't look over the map closely enough.
Franz died to cav reinforcements from behind on the same chapter.

Neimi was filler long after being benched when I had an extra deployment slot on the Innes/Gerik/Tethys chapter on Eirika route, and I didn't know where reinforcements spawned in. Sadly, a smaller group including Neimi splintered off to the north while the main forces dealt with the bulk of the enemies. Pegasus reinforcements showed up right next to that smaller group and I just had to let Neimi go over risking someone that I was actually using.
Artur died to the same wave. I was so focused on the top group that I didn't realize that two of them could hit Artur, and he died to the same group.

On the plus side, I've gone deathless for the chapters since. I also have Saleh now (and I'll be getting Knoll soon if I want to use him), plus Moulder & L'Arachel are both ready to promote quite soon. Seth and Forde are also picking up the cav slack for the most part, so I think I've kind of stabilized a bit since those losses.
