Apollo actually REALLY grew on me in AA5 and 6. I pretty actively disliked him for being such a nothing in AA4, but the other two helped him a lot.

If his arc is done and he's mostly out of the series, I can accept it because it would be a solid ending for him. I definitely wouldn't mind having him hang around in the future, though.

Completed that case now. I still need to play Turnabout Time Traveller so no spoilers for that one please. (Unfortunately, the Asinine Attorney cases aren't available on the Android version.)

So, turns out Garan was indeed the killer. As much as things weren't pointing that way at the time, I guess it's to be expected, they tried too hard to set her up as a villian. Nonetheless, the other twists in the case, as well as figuring out exactly how that worked (and getting around her attempt to prevent you accusing her) was still pretty impressive.

So - while I do still have the DLC case to go - at this point, I'd say that while SoJ was great, I'd still put it second to Dual Destinies for best game overall (and I'd still say Bridge To The Turnabout from T&T is the best individual case of all).

And I was quite happy when the ending implied we might not see Apollo as a major character in the next game. I can't say I'm a huge fan of him.

The "Dhurke was dead the whole time" twist was amazing and was so well-done. I didn't see it coming and I honestly cried a bit during the reveal.

Only twist that I like more in the series is in AAI2.

Goddamn. :(

I kind of expected the final count to be higher than the 11, since there were still some people missing late into the night, but it still really stings to read it.

RIP to all of the victims. Can't even imagine how much heartbreak there is for their loved ones right now, either, especially since there were young children among the dead.

Watch Dogs or Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.

I've played worse games but didn't beat them.

WD was just bland as hell all the way through. The story missions were fine enough but I hated the story itself and it had the least interesting open worlding I've ever played. It didn't take long for me to give up on the open world aspect and rush the story.

Enslaved was incredibly derivative and was dying to be Uncharted but without the budget for it. A cool concept didn't help a fairly barebones plot and uninteresting gameplay. I would have dropped it but the whole game was like 5 hours long.

Visited him for around 5 hours today. Not sure if I'd say he's doing well or not. He's speaking and seems to be in good spirits, but he's had a few periods of respiratory distress. They were still waiting on a second x-ray and some additional tests when we left.

What we know: he has pneumonia, evidently a blood clot somewhere, and some kind of fluid on his lungs. If that's specifically what triggered these attacks, or if they're just from the cancer + chemo + the fact that he's had asthma for years and are unrelated, we don't entirely know. He's supposed to start another round of chemo on Thursday, but none of us think he should, he doesn't seem up to it at all.

I'm glad I got to visit him, and I hope he'll be okay. There's just no telling what will happen from here. I'm still pretty down about it, but I'm glad I was able to see him today and visit for a while.

She said he's stable at the moment and starting tests and X-rays. I told her to let me know if I should drive up there. I hope this means that we're in the clear for now.

I need to get over my anxiety and just go for it in situations like this. I've always been really scared of driving though, which is why it took me years to get my license. I only really drive a few blocks at a time around town, and I'm pretty anxious even at that point.

Sorry. I feel like I'm being dismissive of everyone's advice, and that I'm being awful for not driving it right away. I'm just scared and tired and really worried.

I'm also not sure which hospital they'll be at. I think there are a few, so there's no telling. At the same time, I'll never forgive myself if something happens and I could have been there for it but wasn't.

I wanted to go with her in the first place, but she rushed out very soon after she got the call, and just said I'd get in the way when I asked.

If it comes down to it, I'll drive up there for sure. I'm not a great driver and actually just got my license recently (quite late to it, tbh), and the hospital is around 40 minutes away, but I'd have to.

My niece and nephew are sleeping over and it's just my dad and myself here now. We couldn't leave the kids alone, and taking them is pretty out of the question too, so I think it would come down to me driving there. I think I could make it, though.

I want to say that it's not going to come to the worst case scenario, but I really don't know. My aunt is visiting (she lives in Pennsylvania, we live in Missouri) at my grandpa's request. He was telling her that she didn't need to come see him for several weeks, but then suddenly asked her to come a week and a half ago. We've all been worried that he's doing worse than he's been saying, and with this incident, I'm extremely worried for him.

It doesn't help that he's been having a rough time from the chemo. He's been weak and pretty sick from it, and even passed out a few times a week or so ago. We think it was from the blood pressure medicine he was taking, but it's very concerning.

idk. I'll do everything in my power to get to the hospital if things are looking bad.

Any general tips for raising a young kitten that might not be obvious? There's the vet trip that needs to happen, but anything else? We adopted our current cat when she was a BIT older, and from a box at Wal-Mart (not the most glamorous background tbh, but it was a hot day, she was the last one left, and my dad felt really bad for her, so...), and so I've never really tried to care for a young kitten, nor have I tried to nurse one back to health when it was in bad shape. I think it's recovering really well, but if there's anything that I might not be thinking of, I'm definitely all ears and would be really thankful for the help.

Awesome that you work at a shelter btw. I volunteered at one a bit when I was younger, and my sister used to as well. I really respect anyone who helps animals out. I'd honestly consider working at one myself but I think I'd get really attached and get upset when pets got adopted. I'm a huge animal lover and I tend to get really emotional, so I'm not really suited to work like that.

No progress on the vet front, unfortunately. My dad said that he would today since he was off, but he never did. I'm going to have to just get over my anxiety and do it next week.

We've been allowing the kitty to roam a bit more since it hates being confined to one room. I'm still really wary, but my parents have been letting it out more and I'm reluctantly going along with it since it meows a ton when we have it on its own. It really likes to explore and play.

My aunt is visiting my sick grandpa and brought some spring toys for my bigger cat, since her cat loves them, and the kitten was playing with one earlier. I got some video of it, along with a cameo of my bigger cat stalking it a bit:

It's definitely a lot more active than it was when he found it. At first, it was walking, but slowly, and wasn't playing much. Now it's playing and climbing a lot. It seems to be recovering very well from what I can see.

Sadly still nothing on the other kitten. I went out looking today but found nothing. As much as I hate to say it, unless another family found it, I don't think there's any way that it would still be alive by now. The one we found was likely close to starving to death, given how much it's perked up with food and rest. I really, really don't want to give up looking and just accept that it's gone, but it's been four days without a sign of it.

We've been discussing names a bit. I think we're set on keeping it. My parents want to go with "Lucky" since it was just complete chance that we found it and rescued it, but that sounds like a male dog name to me, and I'm leaning towards this kitten being a female. I also don't really like the implications for its poor sibling.

Also call me an asshole but I would call out or say you cant come in for work one day just to get the thing to the vets. There is no telling if it is sick or has a health problem until checked out by a vet, an animal is more important then one day of work.

@dotsdfe

You're not wrong.

If I'm being totally honest, I'm a bit intimidated to do it alone. The vet is across town and while I have my license and a car, I almost never drive very far, so I've been kind of hoping that my mom will get a day off and can do it. It doesn't help that my work schedule tends to be all over the place. I can't deny that I should do it when I can, though. I'm just very anxious about it.

I'll say this though, the kitten has bounced back really hard. It seemed a bit weaker the last few days, but it's climbing, playing, and running. It's like night and day since we got it. I think that food, rest, and the supplemental milk have all helped a lot.

It's also looking like we're going to keep it. My parents have been discussing it more actively, and I think they're getting attached too. The kitten had climbed onto a couch and was playing on it, when my dad sat down on another. It hopped to the other couch and laid down on him, and was playing with him and purring the whole time. He seems to really like it and I think my mom does too, so I feel like things are going in the direction of us keeping it.

We'll see what happens, but as sad as it is to say, I think I'm already getting attached to it. It's a very good-natured cat and is very very cute.

Kitten seems to be recovering well. It's doing good with eating food, but we also got it some supplemental cat milk too just in case. It seems to really like it.

It's actually noticeably more active today. It hadn't been lethargic or anything, but it had just been walking around and stuff more than anything prior to today. Today, it was running around, and actually climbed most of the way up my couch when I had it out for a bit earlier. It definitely seems to be feeling quite a bit better.

Unfortunately, it's still quite scrawny. We got that milk because it's still very thin. When we found it, it was virtually skin-and-bones, and you could feel its spine pretty clearly just from petting it. I think it has gained weight since then, but it's still thin. But at the very least, it's eating a decent bit, seems to be healthy enough in terms of waste (IE, solid enough, and no worms), and seems to be regaining its strength. I'm hoping we're getting closer to being in the clear in terms of its immediate health.

I may be able to take it to the vet tomorrow. I've got an hour off of work in the middle of the day when I may be able to take it in if I can get an appointment. I'd really like it to at least get checked up on, but the timing is a bit tight.

Well, my parents evidently had the kitten out and roaming around with the other animals while I was asleep. I'm definitely concerned about that, since we haven't had time to take it to the vet.

Apparently our cat hates it and was hissing at it. I'm hoping it isn't sick or anything, but it's seemed relatively healthy thus far at the very least. The only big issue is that it seems to have a limp in one of its back legs. My parents think that it may have been abused or possibly just physically thrown from a car by someone trying to get rid of them. I don't know about that really.

It's a very nice kitten either way. Within 24 hours, it had already basically gotten used to us. I was petting it late last night and it started purring at me right away.

No luck on finding it a home yet either. My sister really wanted to adopt it but her husband gave a flat-out "not happening" without even considering it.

AA6 is great. Cases 2, 3, and 5 are all very strong, with case 5 having a top tier moment in the entire series for me.

Case 1 is an ehh intro case and case 4 is very, very strange. I also don't really overly recommend the DLC case unless you're a huge AA fan and want fanservice, because it's not a very strong case at all otherwise.

Also, AAI2 is incredible. I'd have it tied with AA3 at the top of my list of games. The cases are strong and well-written and the game has probably my favorite twist in the series. I'd strongly recommend playing it.

IMO, 6 and I2 are both top 3 games in the series, and they're definitely worth playing if you're a fan.

Small update on the second kitten, my dad thought he saw it roaming around a ways away from here. I went to look but couldn't find it. It's possible that it's just hiding, though. At least there's hope. I've been really worried about the other one.
