From what I've heard, the Hell House series just kind of keeps getting worse as it goes. Which is a shame, the first one is honestly a really good movie.

Triple Triad is fun, but I love FF8 for its cast, OST, battle system, and great setpieces.

A really small part of me is like, morbidly curious about how this would even go.

Like NYC is a fucking massive center of commerce, would they even...care...?

Project X Zone just shows a bunch of cool characters doing flashy combos and kinda glosses over the fact that it's the most bland, nothing strategy game ever made.

I loved it honestly.

It's more about just seeing where it goes and experiencing it blind. Seeing it shift around between perspectives and tones and just going along for the ride was a lot of fun.

I also think that Aunt Gladys is an all timer horror villain. She's just so much fun.

Idk, of the two brand new horror movies I saw this year (along with Sinners), I preferred Sinners, but I enjoyed both and didn't regret getting out to a theater to watch either one.

It's sad to say, but copyright law and bigger corporations are probably our best hope to take AI down. It feels kind of gross, because big corporations are generally pretty awful, but AI is that much worse. The enemy of my enemy is my friend in this case.

Death Parade.

Forever sad it never got another season. I feel like the setup was there to continue it, it just didn't happen. Excellent show though.

It's a really technical series that's nowhere near as flashy as other fighting games. It honestly comes off as just boring until you learn it and it clicks.

A friend bought me VF5 ages ago and it took a while for me to really enjoy it. Once I got into it, it was a fun time, but I had to really sit down with it for a while to get there.

It's just hard for it to stand out compared to other FGs. Even if you just narrow it down to just 3D fighters, Soul Calibur and Tekken are a lot flashier and more accessible.

As far as I can tell, Amazon is sort of moving away from physical games in general.

I've seen several games in the past few months that either don't seem to stock much and sell out fast, or just take a while to ship after release. It feels like they don't really care that much about physical games at this point, sadly.

I have intensely mixed feelings about the entire movie honestly.

Scream is my favorite horror movie series and I've honestly enjoyed every single movie in it to some extent.

But man does the Melissa Barrera situation just cast such a cloud over this one.

Idk how to feel about it. On a lot of levels, I just blame Spyglass and feel bad for the actors/writers/director of the movie, but I also can't deny that it just makes the entire movie feel kind of gross in its own way.

I guess I just hope that the movie turns out good, but I also don't think I'm going to go support it in theaters and may not watch it at all. It'd be nice if something would happen that would allow for Melissa to return in a hypothetical 8 and for this entire situation to just be resolved somewhat cleanly, but that feels overly optimistic.

Remake FF8, but like, not as a trilogy. I'm really not impressed with FF7R's structure thus far.

It turns out that when the entire government is held together by the assumption that people will just kinda follow laws and be good, it doesn't amount to much.

It's a big reason why people are so cynical about anything post Trump. We've kind of learned that the entire government was held together by paper clips, and it doesn't take much for the next Republican to just hop in and ignore a bunch of laws too.

I wish that I could adequately explain how pissed I am. I knew it was coming, but just the raw frustration of knowing that I'm about to have one of my rights stolen from me while half of the country cheers for it is just too overwhelming for words.

I'm in a red state, so uh, RIP. I need to double down on looking for work outside of my state and just getting the fuck out of here, I guess.

It's what they get. They basically went "BUAHAHAHA WE ACTUALLY HATED GAY PEOPLE ALL ALONG!" at the first possible opportunity and then everyone told them to fuck off. I'm just going to sit back and watch them continue to crash and burn.

They're good, though I personally think that FE peaked with Tellius.

I feel like I'm being old for it, but I will admit that Awakening, Fates, and Engage just feel a bit too cartoony for me. TH did at least take itself seriously though, and I'll give Fates credit for having very good gameplay amid the incredibly silly plot.

Specifically about Halloween in particular, or horror movies in general?

I'm assuming the latter, but I'd feel silly recommending stuff that's not at all Halloween themed when that's what you were after.

There's a tiny tiny bit more to the story that adds a bit more context. Though whether you judge the school for it or not is up to you.

Reminds me of the time I was housesitting by myself and someone stepped onto my parents' front deck around 2am. I'm pretty sure they tried outright opening the door, because I heard the handle jiggle a bit amid my parents' dogs raising hell.

I should have called the cops, but whoever it was seemingly ran off pretty quickly, probably after hearing the dogs. I kind of shudder to think about what they were planning if it wasn't locked.

TMS is like the most average game I've ever played. I couldn't muster up any strong feelings about it either way.

I will say that I wouldn't recognize it as anything even loosely related to FE without the overt references. Even the cameo characters don't really feel all that similar to who they're referencing.

Honestly, this isn't news to anyone who has paid attention to like...anything in the past decade.

The original was good, the sequel was decent. I've heard that anything past that sucks terribly.

With that said, I can't really think about the series without thinking of the absolute scum of the earth creator of it. Kind of wrecks the whole thing.

I'll admit, the random rock lady bridge trend a few weeks ago did crack me up.

I got to Typhon for the first time, and even though I died there, it...wasn't bad?

I knew it was four phases, which filled me with dread. But I looked up a video afterwards and saw that was the last phase I had gotten to. It may actually be easier to memorize the moves than Chronos.

Yeah, I think it's pretty easy overall. I've only honestly lost to it once, when I was really worn down and just hanging on by a thread by the time I got there. Otherwise, if my build is strong enough to reach it, I win.

Hit credits. I'll keep going though.

Excellent game. I think I was ultimately a bit more hooked on 1 due to it being a newer experience, but 2 was a much better-made game all around and I loved both a lot.

The Chalice of Beginnings. It's a Distant Counter accessory that makes the earlygame significantly easier if you use it.

I don't agree with that at all. In addition to overpowered free stat boosters, particularly the +2 shoes, but the other stuff is great too, and the chalice of beginnings, the dlc gives you access to free recruits, 3/4 of which are very good, with one of them possibly being the best unit in part 1. You also get 10k free renown to spend on the added new shop that uses renown as currency, stocked with overpowered items for how early they are accessible and some of which shouldn't be accessible at all in extended quantities. The sauna also makes it much easier to reach skill exp benchmarks.

Admittedly, I forgot about the stat boosters since I don't use them, but IIRC most of the DLC characters are decent to good on tier lists but nowhere near the most broken characters in the game.

Compared to Engage where the massive EXP gains break the game, you can get the DLC cast very early and walk through the game, and several of the DLC rings are top tier if not in contention for totally game breaking status.

The TH DLC was pretty balanced aside from an item that is admittedly extremely strong early on.

People love to praise Engage's gameplay (and it's not uncommon to see people say that it has the best gameplay in the series), but there's a lot that kind of makes me disagree.

The game slogs itself down with those ring paralogues, the DLC is terribly imbalanced, and a lot of characters feel kind of same-y across different runs due to how strong the rings are compared to the units themselves.

Idk, I can pick almost any FE up at any time and enjoy myself, but I played Engage twice and really haven't felt compelled to do it again. I kind of soured on it after my second run a bit.

It's not really worth it unless you're absolutely dying to learn more about the Danganronpa lore.

The gameplay is kind of bland and the game frequently feels like it's either weird dev fetish stuff or shock value territory.

It's not like actively horrible or anything, but it's just a really weird game that doesn't really do nearly enough to be worth recommending at all.

I really miss when the government had even the faintest sense of decorum.

Tbh I don't see how you ever get it back. One party has gone full Fox News and they've been winning off of it.

Calling it horror is generous, but I firmly believe that Resident Evil 5 is one of the most fun co-op games ever made. I played it in couch co-op with my friend when it was newer and we had an absolute blast.

I've definitely been hearing this rumor for a while, so idk.

But with that said, it wouldn't surprise me? The Xbox has not done well at all this generation. It's basically been a Game Pass machine, and even that seems to be falling apart.

It hasn't even been a year and we've gone from "Stop calling us fascist!" to "PROTESTERS TO THE REGIME MUST BE SHOT ON SIGHT."

They ripped the mask off as fast as physically possible, though in fairness, the mask was barely secured in the first place.
