i'm not huge on EDH, but my understanding is that "fun" commanders draw cards, fetch cards from the library, or reuse stuff from your graveyard

neither drizzt nor bruenor satisfy that requirement, but they could still be all right

drizzt will live for some fun combos that your opponents will never allow to go off. i'd love to execute a one-attack commander damage kill via phyrexian dreadnought

bruenor might be a nice budget equipment commander- competition for that role is already fierce

normal 'equip' effects (like "equip 2") have the secret rule of being cast at times that sorcery spells can (i.e. slow)

but if there's some any other effect phrased like "2: attach this to target creature", then that can be done at any time an ability can normally be done- essentially at any time/"instant speed"

people derive self-worth from being good at something. Good at making people laugh, good at creating things, good at telling a story, good at helping people, good at competing, good at attracting. Or from fitting a role well and fitting in. Being a good partner, a good parent, a good son/daughter, a good worker, a good friend, being a good worker are all things that can create a sense of satisfaction.

Nobody's good at everything. But we all pick specific roles to define ourselves by.

If being good at sticking to this regimen is satisfying to you, it sounds like you've found your calling. That's great!

i used to be a fan of those ultra-high effort "lottery" type games with days. they were always super arbitrary. those "WWYD" games seemed to generate a lot of feel-bad moments when people had to tap out, especially after embarrassing themselves
