You should try watching your account go from 50k to 140k back down to 75k (the day the restrictions started)! Now hovering around 100k.

And for the record, that wasn't YOLOing or anything. That was with a trade worth 1/3th of my portfolio when I got in, I just got in on AMC under 5.

Just got back from work. Checked the market. Holy crap GME, that sucks. And AMC started off great, hope you guys sold at or near open and then bought back in during the gap.

Made a 5% gain in EVRI in five minutes. You all should really listen to me about that stock.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to sell pre-market right before open every morning then I don't like an idiot.

This was always about financial freedom for me. I think I'm just playing a different game than most people here.

I'm about turn 30, been broke my whole life, and the 10k that I started with was the most savings I've ever had up until that point.

Do you guys think there will be some long term ramifications for the market after this week? More regulation? More throttling of the abilities small retailers like us (ok, not really me but you guys) to have access?

Or do you think once this settles down and everyone's eyes are off that things will more or less go back to normal.

In the beginning (March through June) I wasnt comfortable investing all $90k. I limited myself to $25k then $50k then $75k. So I think Im over double but its hard to prorate it all. I only just recently started investing over $75k.

Blur did you just make all your moves based off what the guys in that discord server were saying? Or a combination of them/WSB/your own DD?

It moves so goddamn fast. This was the first day when the AMC run started and I think we cracked like 25 and it hasn't hit back there since? Trust me, it plummets as fast as it goes up and is incredibly hard to time. Technical analysis is the next tool I need to master in the market.

That's why 25 is my "conservative" price target for this week, but the volatility makes day trading it and just buying the dips much more tempting at this point.

Before now my three biggest gains were

1. AVCT/AVCTW for a combined total of 25kish, from the discord I'm on (I can DM you an invite!)
2. 9.5k from my crazy ass GNUS yolo that was a one time thing I'll never do again. Got in thanks to chatter from this topic series
3. 8.5k from LK that I got in on thanks to Lopen and chatter here. And oh, that would have been a five bagger now if I had held, or if I had bought back in because it had dip buy opportunities.

I've never really spent much time on WSB before as those guys are crazy. Usually we laugh at all their crazy bets and losses. They just happened to come together and have some insane wins recently for a good cause, but those guys are not the due diligence type that I like to follow.

Other good stock discords are the Dumb Money discord and I hear the International SPAC discord, but I'm not actually on the last one.

And for the record on my GNUS yolo, I set stop limits $1 below where it was trading but $1 above my purchase price to start, and steadily moved that up as the price went up. The whole thing collapsed at once when early investors pulled out, and if I hadn't done that, I'm sure I would've gotten burned and ended up holding a bag, not doubling my money.

The GME frenzy stuff is not normal and is definitely not how I recommend trading consistently.

Yeah I actually started at 3k and eased up to 13k over time, putting in about $1000 a month. So it's not like I had 13k to start, which limited my early profits a lot.

However I think that was actually really smart because I actually lost a ton of money in the first 4 months. Like at my worst I'd lost half my investment. It's easy to think it's easy when you're virtual trading but when it's your actual money you have to train willpower to hold, take profits, etc.

Now that I have actual good skin in the game I feel fairly safe that the money will only go up, though.

That's a lot of places to try and spread my meager attention span to. It sounds like if I just listen to you and Lopen and Chris (and voltch who has been talking to me outside of here) I should be able to make solid decisions on my own.

I would preach that everyone continues doing what theyve been doing here. These topics have been a wealth of information for people and generally has very good stock advice. I also echo that WSB is usually not a good place to seek advice from, but this GME/AMC stretch is an exception to that rule.

If you have a comfortable amount as a base and want that to just steadily earn, follow stuff voltch recommends

It's not my style until recently though-- once this AMC stuff settles down I'll be going hard on his recommendations though with at least half my money

I wish I had the time to research more. Im sure were all busy and Im not saying Im more busy than anyone else, but I definitely rely on your guys input more than anything else when investing because there are simply not enough hours in the day for me to study up.

the fact that ETH this month was able to hit new all time highs without getting rejected back below a certain point shows that we're stabilized I think. Unless we were to enter a massive bear market for the entirety of crypto I don't see it going down.

ETH is also trying to evolve and come with new ways to deal with inflation, such as burning ETH gas during each transaction to limit the amount of it on the market.

but again I am not a financial advisor I just love the ETH
