And also this. Wtf is this? I would say this is completely fucking stupid and a waste of money but that fact speaks for itself and at the same time I'm not surprised at all.

Also. I've been in different workplaces. And bosses/coworkers that got in years back when college degrees weren't required (and still shouldn't be), worked their way up and learned on the job. Those people are 1000 times better at their jobs and at being bosses/managers than every single incompetent asshole with some worthless degree that gets their job right out of college. It is simply infuriating. It's like college is a thing people go to now to become stupid.

We coddled him and included him. He saw a shrink. There was concern. For years. Years.
He hates his life, hates us. Wanted to kill (his words) our little brother when he was born. Use to crucify birds he'd shoot to little pieces of wood in the yard. Has been drawing comics of people hearing voices telling them to kill everyone since high school. No I am not fucking joking about this. He leaves them around. This is real. This is the insanity we deal with.
Hates being alone but doesn't want to be a part of going out because he hates seeing people having a good time. Cries and carries on about how life is against him. Have you ever seen a grown adult go into a toddle like crying stomping hissy fit like they just got told they can't have a toy? We have.
We didn't hate him. We didn't treat him like shit. Now we're just indifferent and want him gone. There's a limit to how much you can care. After last weeks shit show performance where (while we can't prove it, but he did it) he sliced through their pools liner to break it. This was after the crying and accusing mind you. I'm done. I am honestly about a inch away from just saying he's dead to me. I'm done. All our lives would be improved with him not being in it.

I'm sorry. I wish my brother was in jail. Really. My brother is still living with my mother at 26 and basically acts like Dandy from that one season of AHS. Only a pot head and not good looking. Mood swings, victim complex, threatening suicide for the last 15 years, hates us all. Mother won't kick his worthless ass out because I guess she just can't bring herself to do it despite everyone telling her it's the only solution. Emotionally manipulates her, carefully times his crying fits/drama to when she has plans so she stays home because she's worried about him. It's a deeply fucked up situation.

I sincerely wish we still had insane asylums in this country. That is absolutely no joke where he belongs. And he better get his shit together because my other brothers and I have already concluded that when our mom is gone (which is hopefully not for decades still but trust me, he'll still be right there), we're kicking him out of that house and if he winds up homeless and insane on the street then so be it. We're done. Every ounce of our capacity to feel anything for him is just gone. Be gone, fuck off and then maybe he'll see what it truly is to have no one.

Here is a dandelion and it's good for headaches. Let's see. I think I'll explain it in code and then draw that dandelion as a twelve headed monster plant with teeth and breathing fire on top of a pentagram because I'm evidently nothing but an asshole.

I remember in high school my friend's parents were in their 50s across the board. Ones father was 60. I remember they did a huge birthday party for him in Vegas. Wow. There's a very good chance he's dead by now. That was 1998 and he wasn't in the best of health back then. That's pretty wild thinking about that right now. I can't fathom what it's like having a parent in their 70s when I'm only in my 30s.

Just finished it. Probably going to be an outlier opinion here.
Was season 4 bad? No. Was it good? Not really. Weakest of the 4 so far.

The governor plot line was B story material. It wasn't even that interesting or funny and in the end goes absolutely nowhere. Tied to that Diane and Mr. P's whole entire subplot all comes down to the last episode and it didn't need any of that to get to the same point it seemed like that relationship was already at at the beginning of season 3. Todd's story was just terrible. Those one off ideas of his are fodder for a B story in one episode. The whole season though. It also felt like it went nowhere. He comes to terms with his sexual status. That's good I guess but it was already out of the way before the midway point though. The rest is that silly clown dentist plot that honestly became irritating because I wanted more from other plots.

PC's story was great. Imho it and Bojack's mom's past were the only two story threads that had any sort of weight to them at all this season. Her own horrifying parents explain her better but still doesn't excuse how terrible she is. Honestly didn't feel anything for how she ended up. She deserved it. But it was still great to get there. Hollyhock and Bojack? Idk. It also felt for some reason that it went the whole season all to end up without any meaningful impact in either's lives at the end.

Season 1, 2 and 3 all felt like everyone started at one point and ended at another. For good or bad.
No one seemed to be anywhere different at the end of 4 than they did at the beginning of it. Like, season 5 could pick up with you missing all of season 4 and I would think it wouldn't make a difference. Other than Bojack has a sister and Diane and Mr P. realize it isn't working. But like I said, one adds nothing and the other we could see coming even in season 2.

EternalDivide

I was 19. I woke up when my aunt called and my grandfather picked it up. It was a little before 6am here. I had some college class that I can't even remember later that day. But I heard him saying like "An explosion? In which building? That's the really tall one." So on that cue it was like oh sounds big so I flipped on my bedroom tv while still laying in bed. Everyone was still debating if it was a plane or gas explosion. He came in to tell me but by this time I had it on.
So I was just there watching and I could hear his bedroom tv on the same channel. We saw the second plane hit live. Couldn't even tell you what channel it was but it was that thing where you have a hundred thoughts going through your head at once but it's in the span of just seconds. Because I remember seeing the second plane come into view in the corner of the screen and thinking "Is that a helicopter? No. A small plane or maybe a big plane far away going to the airport and I'm just seeing it from a weird angle?" And then seeing it come real close and then the explosion and just realizing what it was now.
Jumped up and I could hear my grandfather come walking down from his room at the same time. I can't even remember what we said to each other. But I put on the big tv in the living room and we stood there and watched the rest.

I remember watching the jumpers with him. The camera had a close up of this guy hanging out a window trying to climb down and then slipping. And idk why but I thought it was close to street level. But then it paned out quick and follows him down and you realize it was like the 100th floor. Seeing that, then all these other people falling and the the first tower collapsing. Never been so horrified at seeing something in my life or since. And seeing my grandfather react the same.

People are right. If you grew up in the post 9-11 world or remember it but not really grasping it. Then it's all just this historical event now. Like Pearl Harbor or the JFK assassination. I remember older family and people always saying how shocking those were and how you remember exactly where your were and what you were doing when you heard. And not being able to grasp what that would be like. 9-11 is that. I will never forget that day, where i was standing seeing those buildings fall. Even if you weren't there, even if you didn't know anyone directly involved. It felt like you were directly involved. The horror, shock, hate, rage, pain, and flurry of other emotions that seem impossible to have all at the same time. And knowing every single other american felt them too that day and in the following weeks. No matter the color or sex or whatever. It is completely indescribable in words.

My brother and I and sometimes our mother scroll through the guide listing sometimes and try and figure out what the movie is about based only on the title. Then go to the description and I would say we have about a 75% success rate at getting it exactly.

I'm just going to make these titles up but I bet a few are real. "The Woman Nextdoor, The Missing, A Man's Shadow, Deadly Ex, The Woman In The Mirror, Escape!, The Girl Behind The Glass, No Means No, Bullied" And they all have laughable cliche descriptions. I mean how on earth are people so lame that they watch this garbage. An evil man almost always. An ex, the current love interest with a secret, a creeper next door, her father, her brother, etc. Sometimes an evil woman who's jealous. They stole her baby, her virginity, her eggs. She was molested, she saw an evil man kill another woman, the babysitter wants to kill her and take her place or take her baby.
And then comes christmastime. It and all the channels like it. "A Grandpa For Christmas, A New Mommy For Christmas, The Puppy That Saved Christmas"

And honestly the most baffling thing I've ever seen advertise was from last year. Because my mother was binging Gilmore Girls and it was advertising non stop. "Black Guy Rooftop Christmas Tree" or something almost that. I mean flat out bizarre. It was like Judge: "You can't put that christmas tree on your roof old black guy." Council member: "It's against code! To jail with you!" Lawyer white woman too busy to start a family: "We have to save christmas! And the only way to do that is free old black guy so he restores the christmas spirit in our town with his crappy rooftop christmas tree in the hood!" I mean holy shit! It was like a cliche crapped out a saccharine overdose and died of embarrassment all at the same time.
