I chopped through my thumb nail/whole finger lengthwise the whole way up the nail on christmas eve a few years ago while cooking. It's like "Oh shit!" but at the same time it was like I don't have time to deal with this or the insurance to cover it and I have people coming over. Peroxided it. Neosporin. Tied it together with multiple bandaids and tape so tight it cut the bleeding. Mixed some tylenol and more than a bottle of wine that evening. Then just kept those bandages on the next couple of days (with more tylenol and booze on christmas), then changed them out as fast as I could so it wouldn't reopen. It healed just fine in a few weeks with no scar. Little pain too.

Everything and everyone that Bioware is at the moment needs to be gone before these things will change. And seeing how they just brought back A number 1 fuckwit Casey Hudson as the general manager of all of Bioware (the ass singularly responsible for ME3's bs ending) it's going to be a long time.

I had my father's name at birth. So I guess I would have been called a Jr. or II but that wasn't attached onto it officially. Thank god almighty it was changed completely when I was 2. My old middle name became my first name. New middle name and mother's maiden name as my last. After she got remarried her's changed again but I'm still the same.
I mean thank god. Not a week goes by that I don't remember what my name could have been and breath a sigh of relief.

Anything, and I mean anything is better than some mexican names though. I worked in the catholic church for a while dealing with paperwork for baptisms and the like.
first(Hector-Martinez-Cardinal) middle(Espinoza-Contrerez) last(Guadalupe-Maria-Sanchez). I mean holy fuck! That is just pure bs. I would have that shit changed to something normal when I reached 18 if I were all these kids. If asked why by a judge I would just point to it written down and say"Look. Look at this garbage." But when it comes to who they are and what they're rallying for. You can hate them and what they stand for. It can make your skin crawl. But they have a constitutional right to do it. And when we start trying to make exceptions to that right because "feelings", that's when we start heading in the direction of what allowed Hitler to rise to power.

There was always this fringe nutcase stuff on both sides. It's just that somehow, somewhere in these last few years things have gotten so much worse. And I don't know if it's really that those viewpoints have spread so much as it is simply that they have become louder thanks especially to social media and the fact that both fringe groups are really really stupid. And I really want to stress that last part. Alt-left, alt-right. Both groups are made up of severely stupid people.
I'm sure the alt-left side will trumpet their self important degrees in woman's literature, gender studies and dance but it's worthless. It's all worthless. Because they're not smart, they're not educated. Indoctrinated sure. But they're not intelligent. They live in a bubble.
The alt-left is "Murica!" to a nauseating degree. And they too and ignorant. Not that patriotism is bad at all it's just not about skin color or where you come from.
It's just a complete lack of self awareness, intelligence and a total lack of any ability to listen to whatever someone else may have to say from the other side. It's a my way of the highway for both sides. With "Fascist! or Hitler lover!" thrown onto opponents as if it's baby's first internet argument and they think either label is somehow this instant argument win for them. And in the meantime.
The general left is tired of self righteous bs being thrown at them from the right and just want to see them all fail now at any cost.
The general right is tired of self righteous bs being thrown at them from the left and just want to see them fail now at any cost

But none of the extreme talk is the majority. At least I hope not. Because nothing good will come if it is. People just need to calm the hell down and distance themselves from the madness. But I just don't see that happening unless the internet and cable news suddenly disappeared.

a liberal is a person that is devoid of any kind of independent thought that has not been manufactured and sold to them by the democratic party, corporations, etc.

they preach progress and change but usually it's progress that the government/corporations/etc have become prepared for, they preach tolerance but only against those in their in-group, they preach understanding but only know what is shown to them, etc.

but worst of all is the smugness that accompanies a liberal, as they believe they are members of the Educated Enlightened Party, and that they are on the Right Side of History, and any political statement they make is a self serving act to not necessarily make the world a better place, but make them feel better about themselves as things go to shit

Remember back then when our schools had monkey bars, swing sets, teeter toters and huge jungle gyms. All wood and metal mind you. Then they took everything out and replaced it all with nerf covered crap in the late 90s. Well I work at these same schools now that I was in 30 years ago (holy shit I'm old!). Worked at other districts too. It's all gone. "Safety, safety, safety. We don't want to get sued." is the excuse. "Kids need to get out there and play during recess" or so everyone whines. Uh-huh. With what? No playgrounds. Most of the grass areas and fields have been paved over because oh no, mud and the kids may trip in a gopher hole! The sports fields are plastic. No tetherball or dodge ball. No basketball hoops outside (idk what the excuse for that one is). No running on the pavement which is everything now. No jump rope.
In middel school we have security as if it's a super max prison. Kids are kept on the concrete in a central quad. Staff all have walkie-talkies and scream across them like it's 9-11 when a kid wanders anywhere outside this little area. Hell my high school didn't have fencing around it.

Society is just shit these days. Growing up in today's schools must just be horrid. Of course today's kids don't know anything outside the way it is now. I just hope once they grow up and are in charge things will change back.

They just last month remodeled our IHOP. And I really don't approve. IHOP was always blue and tan. They all had like a bright morning breakfast aesthetic to their design. And they had wallpaper with decor on it of the old IHOP restaurants and old menus. Which was appropriate even if they are a dinner place too. They never have a crowd then though.
Well they totally redid it to be dark red and dark brown. The wait staff is in dark red too. All the decor is gone now off the walls. All the glass dividers between booths and vestibule and now solid wood or really crappy plastic red circles. It looks like a Sizzler now. It looks like a dinner place. The coffee pots for the table are half the size of the old ones and the mugs are smaller too. And of course the prices went up.

I rarely go but someone treated me a couple of weeks ago. IHOP has always been severely overpriced. It's just fucking breakfast. Three fucking blueberry pancakes alone are $9! Coffee for $3.50! Even the cheapest omelette is over $12. Their prices are absolutely ridiculous.

Very. Yet cautious at the same time. They did give us that borefest Fallout 4 after all.

I've posted my thoughts on this in depth before. But I don't think it will be a TES VI: *insert new land*. It will be Skyrim 2.
Skyrim was the behemoth it was not because of it was TES. It was the setting, the look of it, the advertising. It had almost this palpable "Look at this game! Look at the badass character you can play as! Look at these cool snow covered mountains you live in! Look at this badass dragon you're going to fight! Look at this badass mother fucking game! Buy this game!" feeling to it. Idk quite how to describe it. It was as if the starts aligned in it's favor between all the aesthetics and advertising. And it paid off.
Not to mention I'm willing to bet at least half of those 30 million (and counting) that bought the game don't know or care about TES. To them it's Skyrim. And that's the audience Bethesda is going to aim for now.
That massive, bigger than CoD audience isn't looking for TES VI. They're looking for and will recognize a Skyrim 2.

Plus think of it. TES VI: Valenwood with some dirty ugly elf on the cover? TES VI: Elsweyr with a cat man on the cover? From a pure mass market appeal standpoint that's not going to fly.

Yosemite would be my choice if you're looking for something that is simply unforgettably impressive and beautiful.
Big Basin is a huge state park in CA, south of the Bay area. It's all coastal redwoods. Most otherworldly beautiful place I've ever been to. But I like forests so those others are definitely more worth seeing in you're not into forests.
So much hiking to do in all these places.

I will say this, having been to all of these places. Grand Canyon just a month ago for the fourth time. There is simply no picture or video out there that really captures the sheer scale of these places. The depth especially. Like I'm sure you've seen the standard shots of Yosemite and Grand Canyon a thousand times like anyone else. But there's such a depth to them and the colors that just do not come through in any picture.

In high school one friend invited some of us over to hang out and then he put on some porn in his room for us to watch. 90s VHS porn that was a grainy copy of a copy of a copy etc. It was awkward feeling. I ended up leaving like halfway through because there was just a sort of creeper vibe going on with him. Plus what do you do in that situation. Hide any boner, keep hands visible, don't talk. Talking to another friend later who was there and left right after I did. I'm pretty sure our one friend wanted to show and tell. That's the impression both of us had anyway.

Keep in mind this dude was on the varsity football team. Had been held back a year and as it was looked like he was 25. Bought booze without being carded due to this and we would drink at his place on the weekend. Liked recording him and his girlfriend getting it on and showing it to people. In fact he called us all over one night to his house to meet him in the detached RV garage. To which we did and arrived in a group. To find and see him banging his girlfriend. And we walked in on everything. Exactly as he wanted us to as it turns out. He was a very very weird dude. Very hairy dude too. And her. 90s. Trimming was not a thing then. Yeah, the things I've seen and been involved in. I still can't believe them considering what an epic loser I was up until meeting up with this crowd.

We all went our separate ways after two of us changed schools, one moved, one ended up on meth and this dude ended up breaking up and getting arrested for smashing the windows in of that girlfriend's 60-something restored Camero at prom. Which the rest of us were not there to witness.

Holy shit! Her and the guy. 17 and 19! Do they live next to some black hole where time is bent in a way that at 17 and 19 you look 30 and 40?

Both of mine finally stopped taking them two years ago but when people (always old) take a month of Sundays to write out checks. Holy shit!
Again, old farts that see it fit to hold up everyone because they want to have a discussion with the checkout clerk about their life/day.
The women of all ages that do the "Hold on. I think I have the change." and then take a lifetime to root around in their purses part by part only to never find the change anyway half the time.

Trump could post "Good morning" and people would cry that he's having a "meltdown".

Our grocery stores have 10. And I have never ever in my entire life seem more than 4 open at a time. And that's been like the day before Thanksgiving. Usually there's only 1 open until people start complaining and then someone shows up and gets on the under 15 items lane.

Yet there's workers there doing other needless things. There's always some asshole sweeping all the nonexistent garbage off the floor, moving up and down every aisle getting in everyone's way no matter what time of day I'm there. There's always at least 2 guys at each store fluffing the produce stacks and talking. Someone repositioning cans and such in the aisles. Put these fuckers to work at the lanes for fuck sake!

And btw variations of this exact same stupidity is true at Lowe's/Home Depot, Barnes & Noble, Michael's, JCPenney, Kohl's, etc.

Then don't be here illegally. I don't give one shit about whatever tactics were used or their feelings or any other bleeding heart bs. Kick them out.
