EternalDivide

I have some I inherited. I've never fired them once but they were bought for home defense and used for just that in the 70s. My grandparents held them on two men that got into the house while the cops were called by my aunts. My mother bought one after a home invasion attempt while she was home with my brothers. Also for home defense.
I personally think every home should have one.

But something that shouldn't be discounted, because it only shows the ignorance of and/or disdain one has for is the rural areas in our country where people own them for predator control. And that makes up the vast bulk of our land area in the US. Even locally, just a block down from me there's large properties and then open land going into the mountains. Ranches out there too. And this is SoCal. Many people own chickens, geese and goats, etc. Horses and cows are less likely to be targeted but still. We have coyotes on a daily basis. Bears and cougars are a thing as well. Then you have raccoons and skunks that a very big problem. The way they're dealt with by these people is to shoot them. It's just reality. You either accept that fact or you don't care. And imho the ones that don't care shouldn't have a say at all on the matter.

I don't think anyone should own assault weapons though. Or large magazine ones either.

That's sort of the story though. Not all the ghost bs this trash movie came up with. But in real life the Mrs. Winchester believed she needed to keep building the house to appease the restless spirits that had been killed by the Winchester rifles her husband made his fortune in. She did have sayonces in the house.

I've been to the real house 4 times. It's crazy. Staircases into ceilings, windows facing interior walls, skylights into other rooms, multiple doors, etc. It's like a maze. If I remember correctly it was originally a 7 story structure but the 1906 earthquake reduced it to 4.

I shampoo my hair daily. First a little bit of cheap one just to moisten it up. Then a second application of a better one. Every single time I shower. I just don't feel clean otherwise. Once a week I use a fancy conditioner but only if my hair is getting longer like right now. I'm a mid thirties guy and my hair is still just as damn full as it was 20 years ago. So whatever is supposedly wrong with using shampoos everyday certainly hasn't effected me in any way.

I wish I still had it shoulder length but the look doesn't work very well anymore when you're my age and a lot of it is turning white.

Blue collar. It's what I do right now anyway.
An office job would kill me. Everyone I know with one somehow functions just fine in them but considering I've seen three different of those people's jobs over the years and they literally work in a place that's like a Dilbert setting come to life. That they all talk about their little office politics and drama. Sitting all day. Looking at screens or in meetings all day that are nothing but pointless circle jerks for management to trade idiotic ideas and pat themselves on their backs.
I mean I get it. It's better money.
But I would still rather make 25k a year than 90k is that's what you have to deal with. Not to mention all the debt and years in college to get there. No thank you.

How the hell is it that that basic level of grammar doesn't even apply to journalists these days? This is in no way the first time I've seen these types of errors on sites either. And even worse it's the teachers themselves. I work in a school district. I see what teachers write in their break rooms as notices to others and on their boards and papers in classrooms. There's grammatical, punctuation and structural errors of their stuff on a daily basis.

And I vividly remember taking part in Hands Across America and that was only a few months later so there's no reason to think my memory of it isn't from the day of. I'm just not 100% sure.

The prequels are bad. They're poorly written, poorly acted save for a one or two roles and look terrible due to their overuse of cgi. Everything about how and why they're bad has been done to death.
There's a story there that Lucas wanted to do. It may have been a bad and stupid one but it's there.

TFA set up stuff. It created all these different avenues that future stories could go down. That's about all it did which was it's purpose. I had no problem with that.
But there was no larger story in place for this trilogy. They had no idea where any of it was going to go. Which is stupid and baffling and should have been red flag number 1 to Disney that KK had no idea what the fuck she was doing.
The bigger problem comes when you bring in a hack nobody writer/director. Say "Here's SW. Do whatever you want with it. It doesn't have to make sense." And then he literally takes every plot thread, every mystery, every new character and decades old established characters and purposely ignores it or shits all over it.

The prequels are bad due to in general incompetence.
TLJ is bad due to the genuine malice it's writer/director had for the content. And that is by far the worse sin and why it is by far the worst SW movie to me.

Rabbi Tamara Kolton is a spiritual teacher and psychologist in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Her psychology practice integrates spiritual practices with clinical psychology. She is the first rabbi ordained in Humanistic Judaism.[1]

She was ordained in October 1999 at the International Institute for Secular Humanistic Judaism, having received her PhD in rabbinic studies in August 1999 from Birmingham Temple

Rabbi Kolton describes herself as a "Rabbi Beyond Denominations", drawing from best Jewish practices as well as great teachings from indigenous and Buddhist traditions.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingham_Temple

As being part of the Humanistic Judaism movement, the Birmingham Temple observes holidays, traditions and rituals focused on the humanistic and cultural aspects of Judaism, rather than the religious aspects.

She literally invented her own religion and got a made-up PhD in it from one of its churches.

A religion whose founding belief is secular humanism.

Kinda just speaks for itself

Wow. The statement "Full of shit." doesn't even begin to describe her or this setup.

How do people get this stupid? I honestly ask that. It can't possibly be on accident.

I have yet to hear any suitable explanation as to why this shouldn't be the case. Just because feelings.
You want to buy ice cream on my tax dollars? You want to buy name brand items, steaks, candy and soda on my tax dollars? No. Let the desire for those things be the incentive to go look for a damn job.
And if you doubt these jerks can buy those things listed then either you're unobservant when when you've been grocery shopping or just look up SNAP yourselves online. Any article online about it will show you these welfare recipients are buying junk foods which makes the entire purpose of welfare a gigantic farce.

My biological father was out of the picture before I was 2. I grew up with my grandparents. Grandmother died when I was 13 and my grandfather when I was 26. I inherited the house, well it was put in my name when I was 18 but nonetheless. Well not 4 months pass after the man that raised me died, the man who was and that I called my dad, I get a call from this jerk. First time I've even spoken with him. Hi, it's your father. How are you doing? And then literally the second thing out of this pos is. So. I hear you got left your grandfather's house. Followed by a sob story about how his life is crap and he needs a place to live.

First off. The fact that he somehow found out through hearsay that my dad died is creepy. The idea that he had been keeping tabs on us in some way.
Second. Not just no but hell no. I have honestly never been so pissed off and offended in my life. I really hadn't. After that call I just shouted obscenities into the ether for hours straight. Then to the rest of my family.
He had always been out of the picture and I really never had much of an opinion of him. Just that he could die and I don't think I would really care. After that. Oh no. He can rot. I actively wish upon him all the ills of the world and then some. Worthless pos. Worthless, do nothing, pathetic, loser waste of a human.

Once it's out there. I would honestly be afraid to return to my house until I could get a private security guard. I'm not even joking.
And even then I would move, move my family too and then start the process of getting a name change.

First of all I'm paranoid enough as it is. I don't even open the shades in my home unless I have people over and I have to for looks because I have a fear of just somebody being outside looking in one day while I simply go about my business. I have spotlights and floodlights I've installed all around my house so there's not a single dark spot around it. I'm sure the neighbors hate it but whatever. She's catholic. I'm catholic. If you don't know the what's what about catholicism then I'm sure it sounds like voodoo witchcraft. Even to other christians.
Here it is.
In the catholic faith. When moving into a new home it's always been custom to have the local priest bless the house. They're not exorcising anything. It's a set of prayers while going from room to room. And yes, the priest will sprinkle holy water and holy oil while doing so.
My mother had this done when she moved into her current home.
Now it is harder to find a priest willing to do it these days, especially with the lazy assholes we have for priests at our church right now. But that's another story.
The 40 pastors 7 different times thing. That's not catholic but if there's any truth to that I'm guessing it was just various religious groups that showed up over time like they do for all presidents. Southern baptists, lutherans, etc. There for whatever reason to schmooze it up and they just did group prayers after the fact.

You want cringey? My brother graduated high school last year. And at the ceremony everyone that got up there, teachers included, kept referring to everything as "lit". This year was lit, this class is lit, our squad was lit. With a real emphasis in on the word when saying it.
And I know it wasn't just me because I could see other people turning and asking, but I did have to ask my other brothers WTF does that even mean. Our mother and uncles asked. And it's like idk. And between all of us we had no idea. And our ages run the gambit from 50s to 20s. Figured out later it's some millennial garbage term thrown around as a cringey replacement for cool.

My top two red flags would be any tattoos. Or if she thought anywhere outside of the house is an appropriate place to wear pajamas, slippers or sweatpants.

A woman that doesn't want kids or dogs would be a plus. Preferably one that hates them both. Gotta be ok with cats though.
