i was randomly thinking about FRIENDS just the other day.
specifically how much i disliked that one episode that's basically just a 20 minute long commercial for Pottery Barn

Was that the one where one of the girls furnished their apartment on noticed that someone else's was entirely decorated like the Pottery Barn window display? Or that someone had the cabinet or something from the display?
Or was that Seinfeld?

Nope. At least nothing I ever came across.

It's a massively bad mechanic that really ruins things.

But this thing with Gunn. These whiney leftists are the ones that created this new age of puritan Motion Picture Production Code esq nonsense. So by their own standards they can't have Roseanne punished but Gunn not. I don't agree with either but they wanted this so it needs to be equal.

As much as I love VIII. Rinoa and Squall's sudden 180 into unjustifiable obsession with her are the worst parts. And I'm including the orphanage twist. And it's not like the plot was written as if his obsession with her could be chalked up to be 'because the power of boners' because at least that would have been excusable as they're teenagers. Instead it's written as this actual deep non sexual love between the two that's all based out of what? She's annoying and needs attention?

She is just the worst. Her character is an idiot brat with daddy issues. After that she's just a literal vessel for the plot to hang around.

I wouldn't give money to people just because if I had billions to throw around. In very specific cases yes. But I mean specific like a family in the church needs donations to help bury someone. A kid died. Their house burned down. All cases that have actually happened.
But outside of that I would be inclined to donate to something like cancer research, buying coastal land in middle/north CA and replanting redwoods and then leave it to the state park system when I die. And to cat care. No kill shelters for cats.
And if we're talking billions with most of it to throw around I would fund all that to an extreme.

Not to people though. People are shitty. But that's just my view.

Montgomery Ward. Now that was a store that always felt depressing to be in. Like you could just feel the subpar-ness everywhere.
I got dragged to the malls by my grandparents every single Sunday of my life from when I was a month old (with pictures to prove it) to when she died and still went after because that was the only place to shop for a while.
So 1 of every 7 days in my life more or less was spent at malls from 1982 to 1995.

Montgomery Ward, Harris', Gottschalk's, then Harris Gottschalk's. The May Co. then Robinsons May, Macys, The Broadway. Woolworth, Mervyn's, Newberry's. Then there was Cornet, Fedco, Best (not to be confused with Best Buy).
And of all that only Macys is still around. I think they absorbed half of those other mall stores.

Home Depot and Lowe's are basically immune to Amazon. Home repair items go into the thousands of specific items, many of which you need to see in person or take samples in. Plants, lumber, concrete, framing, doors, etc. Amazon is never taking that.

Poor selection and bad prices. Messy stores too. Sort of like the Sears of the electronic stores.

Of course Sears is currently being operated as some sort of money laundering scheme by it's majority owner. It's over my head. But essentially he's intentionally investing money in it even though the writing's on the wall that it's going under completely. He sells off assets like Craftsman from it. And once Sears goes bankrupt he remains principal owner as it's creditor even though he loses his equity stake.
It's all highly scummy.

I keep hoping my bullies from high school all die from crotch rot. I always read the local obituaries to see if anyone I want to see in there is in there.

I have my own horror story about one and his father that involved blackmail and revenge over my mother turning down his father when they were in high school. Unbeknownst to me at the time. Long story I don't want to get into. But it was bad and goes far beyond that. And all of that did effect me and made me into the person I am now. I recognize that. But there's no escaping that reality. I can't and won't trust people. In fact I hate most people. Always be on the defensive. People are always looking to hurt you.

So I promised myself nearly 20 years ago. My little revenge because it's all I have. I will piss on those two's graves. I will outlive them both. Out of sheer hate I will outlive them. That's my goal. They're an old time family in town so I'll hear through the grapevine when they kick off even if they're living elsewhere. And if I have to drive 1000 miles to do it I will.

I've dealt with lots of cats over the years. They're not at all as helpless as some think. Even ones younger than that.
It's old enough to eat can food. Kitten dry food too if you add milk to it. Take it to a vet to get it checked out and cleaned up. Shots. Yeah you're looking at a hundred bucks but it's worth it.
Get a litter box and hopefully it'll figure it out. I've never had a cat that didn't figure the litter box out immediately so long as they can get inside it. And I raised two from a few days old when the worthless mother cat wouldn't take care of them.
If it's already taken to you then hopefully you have a nice little lap cat for years to come. Just fatten it up. Filled out tuxedo cats are beautiful.
