I think that might be the main difference - even elementary school students are free to leave and come back any time during the day.

Depending on where you live, that can be dangerous. Which is probably another main difference...

I don't know if it was dangerous in my area, but it certainly wasn't really an option. My town didn't have fast food until I was like 15, and the diner was a good hour long walk from either the elementary/middle school (they were right next to each other) or the high school. Plus, most kids lived a good 5 miles or so from the school so it was not like they were going to walk home.

The only reason kids would have to leave campus would be to do some drugs in the woods behind the school. Otherwise you are basically just walking though fields.

I mean when I was in school you either:

1) Brought your lunch
2) Bought your lunch
3) Got PB&J with skim milk

Apparently 8 years ago I thought Metroid Prime was the worst Metroid game. And while I agree with my reasoning I wouldn't say that today.

My favorite though was in a topic complaining about Thief 4 there was a person actually trying to argue that it is impossible for people to function in first person because perception is impossible. I think my contribution basically boiled down to "umm...no" but it was funny going through this topic having him basically say that anyone that can function in first person (I.E. everyone) was lying. The topic went on for 164 posts.

I did, and if anything you are the person spreading miss-information.

Yes, if you want to run games on maximum you are going to spend more then a PS4, but you also aren't going to be able to do that on a PS4 Pro anyways so it is a moot point. You also don't need a GPU, Memory, or a CPU cooler to run games, just using on-board graphics and memory from the motherboard will do it while still giving you the option to upgrade later (something that the PS4 won't give you). Hell, you could go even cheaper and buy a Raspberry Pi if all you play is indie games.

Plus in 10 - 15 years when the online service for whatever game you bought is dead, it is more likely that the PC version will at least have mods so that you can still play it vs the PS4 version which won't.

There's another thing that people who hate chains rarely acknowledge: while the best local places are usually better than chain restaurants, the worst local places are usually worse than chain restaurants. There are a lot of really crappy local places.

Yea, but that is what experimentation is about, AKA leaving your comfort zone. When a new restaurant opens up the first thing I do (once the initial rush of customers dies down) is try it out. If it is bad, then I don't need to go back. If it is good, then I can add it to my list of places I will go to eat from time to time. There are plenty of pizza places in my area that I tried once and vow to never set foot into again (one my friends and I affectionately named "feetza") but I could also name off half a dozen that are actually really good that I never would have known about if I only ate at the big 4 listed in this topic, or even the local chains that are big enough to have advertising on local television.

Where the fuck did the idea of comics not being political come from?
Comics have been political since day fucking 1.

I don't know if it is so much political vs. not as it is uniting vs. dividing.

In the golden age comics were "political" sure, but it was done as a way to unite people in the war effort. Nowadays comics aren't so much uniting people under a common goal so much as "Hey, lets make the Red Skull into Donald Trump, LOL!!!"

Plus if you go back far enough, I don't think there were very many political Penny Dreadful's. Not like I have read a ton, but still.

Domino's, but only by a little bit. Their quality is decent, the price is fair, but it is nothing I actively seek out.

Little Caesar's is cheap but the quality is sub-par. Probably just above frozen pizza if that. Papa Johns is OK, but nowhere close to worth the insane prices they charge for it. And Pizza Hut is shit, pure and simple. I would rather drink the grease left over from the fryer at Long John Silver's then eat another Pizza Hut "pizza".

There used to be an Arby's a couple towns over from me that was 50's themed. Like they always had 50's music playing, had a lot of old movie posters from the 50's, that kind of stuff. They even had the front of a 50's Corvette hanging over the Arby's sign, I loved going there as a kid!

Unfortunately a few years ago the franchise made them take all that down and now they are just a generic Arby's.

edit: Turns out they closed it too. :(

Yeah this. Shunting was in takedown but it was mostly for those missions where it was like see how many cars you could destroy in x amount of time. Revenges shunting ruined the game for me. From what I remember.

Well, from what I remember (and it has been 10 years since I played Takedown or Revenge, but I did play them one right after the other), the shunting in Revenge was not really easier, just that the missions gave you more opportunities to perform them. Conversely you tended to have to drive more carefully because the tracks have more opportunities to crash.
