Did you know that some palontologists now believe that the Chicxulub asteroid impact wasn't the only thing that killed the Dinosaurs.

Around 65,000,000 years ago the supercontinent Panga was in the verge of violently breaking up. Not only was it causing massive earthquakes but it was also causing massive supervolcanoes.

Now those supervolcanoes were releasing massive amounts of soot and ash high into the atmosphere which in turn was blotting out the sun causing temperature drops. It was also causing acid rain.

Now that acid rain was poisoning the ground and plants which were poisoning the herbivorous Dinosaurs which were being eaten by the carnivorous Dinosaurs poisoning them.

Then the asteroid smashed into Earth.

So they were already on their way out before the asteroid hit so that was just the final nail in the coffin for them.

After the impact there were survivors of course. But like I said the plant eating Dinosaurs were being killed by the poisonous plants and the meat eaters from eating the dead bodies of the Dinosaurs and then the final few basically starved to death when the food ran out.

Not sure where you got this information but Pangaea broke up over 100 million years before the extinction event.

Assassin's Creed needs to take notes from dying light.
The movement in AC has always been shit.

I played Valhalla recently and it's crazy that it still has bugs in the movement that have been there since the first game.

He kinda does. They will never give up their guns no matter how nicely they're asked, how sternly they're told, or how many people want them to. I'm not saying I agree with anything Alex Jones stands for, but gun owners in America will not relinquish them.

I feel bad for people who are totally and thoroughly anti-gun because it will be at least three generations before America is a (mostly) gun-free nation.

A lot will refuse but the majority of them would just complain about their rights as they hand them in. These people really don't want confrontation.

Yeah, the night is a lot more gamey, and waaaay less dark. Night in the first game was fucking terrifying. Also, those god damn screamers ruin everything.

I do it sometimes because the conversation wil go completely off the rails, or just go nowhere and I don't have anything else to say.

No one would do anything. The vast majority of people that would complain about gun bans are not going to get out of their chairs and even the people pretending to be militias and stuff are just actual LARPers. They're not going to do anything.

How is Dying Light 2 anyway, better than the first?

Somehow the story is even worse. I completely zone out during every dialogue sequence. But the core gameplay loop is phenomenal. The combat is pretty much identical and the movement starts out the same but grows a good bit from there. I just got to the second map and it's like a completely different game with how you move around.

I agree, but it felt great as a late game power up. You had already mastered all the moves and now you can just zip around. Still a ton of fun.

Also, love to see the random support for Rage 2 and Sunset Overdrive in this topic. Since it's my favorite underrated games. Why no one immediately jumped at open world Doom or Tony Hawk with wacky guns is beyond me.

It absolutely blew me away in the first game and they really upped it in the second. The movement system is totally revolutionary to me but there are no other games doing it. I just imagine a Farcry or Metro game where you can jump around and run across rooftops. Or an open world Dark Messiah with parkour. I know it's probably a hard system to perfect but Techland wasn't exactly the biggest studio when they made the first game. Someone has to copy this.

Passed through SC today but we just got wind and rain. I'm sure downtown is under water but that's just a Tuesday in Charleston.

I just watched the yms videos on it which were great. Show looks like bottom tier teen trash.

Haven't seen it, not even slightly interested. The whole "I'm so much better at controlling my anger than you" clip was all I needed to see to write it off as a non-starter. Absolutely no motive to ever watch it.

Alcohol has a massive negative impact on society and the only reason its accepted is because of its long standing cultural impact. The world would objectively be a better place if people didn't drink. Say a movement starts sweeping the globe where people are giving up drinking in order to make the world a better place. Would you be willing to jump on the band wagon?

What was the overwhelming significance of Ant Man?

Outside of the actual Avengers movies there's. like, three movies that you have to watch to follow the overall story of the franchise. But now every single movie and show that comes out, people bitch and moan that it doesn't tie in and push the narrative forward any. Why did people not care when Iron Man 3 didn't crossover with anything? Or Guardians of the Galaxy? Why are people suddenly pretending to be outraged? Especially since all the new stuff has way more ties to everything than anything before to begin with.

Seriously. I never read any of the "classic" Great Lakes Avengers stuff but I did read the run from a few years ago and it was awful. That character actually made me really want a Great Lakes Avengers show where the team comes together and just sucks absolute ass. Just a bunch of inept assholes. Their big climax moment for the season would be them making the local paper for stopping a bank robbery or some low level super thug that would be the beginnign fight of a movie. The next season would be Jen coming in because the Avengers are suing them for copyright infringement.
