Change an iconic figure to be black/female/trans/gay or any other attribute to reflect the changing times, but don't bother putting any effort into the movie itself. That way, when people complain about the movie being shit, the studio can say "ah, see, you don't like it because you're racist/sexist/bigoted" etc. It negates someone's criticism from being taken seriously even if the movie does in fact suck. There's a browser plugin that counts its own dislike ratio from its own users, and scales that number up according to the public numbers. It's safe to say the sort of person who goes out of their way to install a plugin to dislike youtube videos, are more likely to dislike them than the average user.
