Same. I couldn't finish it. It felt like it was an adaptation of an old pulp comic or serial and I was supposed to be in on some joke, but I wasn't.

4 is a copy paste job. 5 isnt great either but it does enough different and plays relatively well.

It's okay. Wasted the time period and most of the actors. A few decent action scenes. Overall forgettable.

^We shouldn't give 3 that much of a pass. It's not like it was the first game ever to have perks. It was a low effort system all around.

I think you should go play 3 again. The perk tree was entirely filled out with random % buffs, basic gameplay that should have just been there, and 50 new stealth kill animations. It was horseshit of the highest level. Farcry never should have gotten "RPG elements" to begin with.

3 was average when it came out and has only gotten older. Never got around to 4 but it's the exact same game. 5 adds a few more bells and whistles and obviously looks and plays better because it's newer. Still not a fantastic game but it's much better than the other two. 2 is still far and away the best game but is a completely different thing to begin with.

I'll get to it when i replay 3 next but I want a whole game. It's like a completely different world from the rest of Mass Effect.

I'm replaying Mass Effect 2 right now and the Omega station is such a cool idea. A completely lawless city full of criminals and mercenaries, but you barely do anything there. It's got a population of, like, 10 million but all we get to see is two neighborhoods. I want a whole game where you have your own offbrand Normandy crew mercenary band and do a bunch of bounties and assassinations on the station and surrounding system. Maybe trying to move up in the criminal ranks. I wanna see that nasty underbelly instead of the shiny Star Trek stuff of the rest of the series. I want a wise cracking Vorcha squad mate.

They're digging themselves out of a rut right now. The rut was circa Farcry 3/4, Watch Dogs, whatever Assassins Creeds were out then. They've managed to shake up their formula a bit but it looks like it's still a work in progress. They went from making 7/10 games to 8/10 games. But they still don't feel like they're worth more than $30.

My first impression was that that should've been an option, but it's honestly too soon to reboot. The franchise is only 8 years old. They need to at least make it to 10 to 12 years before rebooting.

Otherwise, there's no reason to believe the next version will stick. They just have to limp along in spite of the fans they've lost along the way.

Why does there need to be an arbitrary time limit? If it's not working they shouldn't feel obligated to continue losing money. And if they just take it out behind the shed they should be able to try again asap as long as they want to put in effort. If they want to just keep fucking around the canon doesn't really matter either way.

I still don't give a shit about 60fps. You can show me all the bouncing cubes in the world, when I've got my hands on a game I don't notice the framerate one bit.

Replaying the trilogy now with Maleshep just so I can romance Tali and he is garbage. Jennifer Hale is amazing, this dude is ass.

I'd be totally cool if they just scrapped their stitched together universe and just started over. They might be able to keep going with Wonder Woman and Aquaman movies but we're not getting anymore Justice League movies. On top of that they're making completely unrelated movies like Joker and Batman which will just confuse people and feel pointless. Just bin the whole thing and try harder.
