Did you know that some palontologists now believe that the Chicxulub asteroid impact wasn't the only thing that killed the Dinosaurs.

Around 65,000,000 years ago the supercontinent Panga was in the verge of violently breaking up. Not only was it causing massive earthquakes but it was also causing massive supervolcanoes.

Now those supervolcanoes were releasing massive amounts of soot and ash high into the atmosphere which in turn was blotting out the sun causing temperature drops. It was also causing acid rain.

Now that acid rain was poisoning the ground and plants which were poisoning the herbivorous Dinosaurs which were being eaten by the carnivorous Dinosaurs poisoning them.

Then the asteroid smashed into Earth.

So they were already on their way out before the asteroid hit so that was just the final nail in the coffin for them.

After the impact there were survivors of course. But like I said the plant eating Dinosaurs were being killed by the poisonous plants and the meat eaters from eating the dead bodies of the Dinosaurs and then the final few basically starved to death when the food ran out.

Have to imagine that we'll see similar events 100 million years from now when the next super continent forms.

Not sure where you got this information but Pangaea broke up over 100 million years before the extinction event.

I heard once that the proliferation of pathological organisms brought on by the abundance of dino shit had a large part in the extinction. Think of that scene in Jurassic Park where they find the humongous pile of shit. Now, imagine the landscape strewn with thousands of such piles of excrement literally everywhere.

A "pint" of beer could be either 16 or 16.9 ounces. The latter for imports, usually.

John Milton was blind and poor when he wrote Paradise Lost (1658-63), published 1667.

Milton Dictating to His Daughter, Henry Fuseli (1794)

"Milton's magnum opus, the blank-verse epic poem Paradise Lost, was composed by the blind and impoverished Milton from 1658 to 1664 (first edition), with small but significant revisions published in 1674 (second edition). As a blind poet, Milton dictated his verse to a series of aides in his employ. It has been argued that the poem reflects his personal despair at the failure of the Revolution yet affirms an ultimate optimism in human potential. Some literary critics have argued that Milton encoded many references to his unyielding support for the "Good Old Cause""

The story behind it is that back in 1982 the college building was expanded, changing one of the entryways into a loading dock. When the contractors asked the dean if he wanted to have the letters respaced, he said No, just stick it on the wall because it will look funny.

Thunderbirds is a popular marionette TV series from the 60s.
The first episode was originally 25 minutes, but after seeing it the producers decided that it needed to be 50 minutes.
They could only produce 3 minutes at a good day, so they built multiple sets to be able to produce more sequences faster.
This turned it into the most expensive TV series at its time.
After its first season of 26 episodes, they decided to produce a full feature movie at the same time as the second season.
It was a success in over 50 countries, but they couldnt find any American publisher.
They felt that they couldnt continue without American support, so season 2 was cancelled after 6 episodes and a movie. A second movie was made some years later.
Reruns were always popular, and one in the early 90s was extra popular, with talk about a liveaction movie.
ITC Entertainment decided to ride that popular wave and bought the rights for an American adaption that they gave to Fox Kids in 94.
Fox kids cut it down to 20 minutes per episode, killing character development, because they thought kids couldnt concentrate longer.
All deaths, injuries and smoking got censored. Some stories got totally rewritten.
They used 4 voice actors that didnt change anything between characters. One character had two different voices in the same episode. It felt rushed.
14 episodes were made, only 7 aired... once!
Some episodes got a VHS release... with a different voice work. Same actors reading the same script more professionally.
ITC didnt give up after the failure, and decided to copy what kids looked at at the time... Power Rangers!
Turbocharged Thunderbirds had two cool liveaction teenagers in a space station discover Thunder Planet, where they communicated with and helped the Thunderbirds team fight the evil CGI villain.
It was... bad. At least they aired all 13 episodes. Strangely it got a rerun in Japan in the late 2000.

There is an American breed of horse called the Tennessee Walking horse. Its prize gait is considered to be a fault in other breeds. OK, all I know about horses is hold on to the saddle so I could so easily be wrong but are the majority of horse people wrong?

Overstriding
If you watch a TWH performing a flat walk, it will look like he is hitting his front feet with his back. This is the desired gait! While in most breeds it would be considered a fault, the TWH should slide his back feet directly behind his front feet in the same track in what they call overstride. You can see it below in the slow motion clip.

Please note that the game she debuted in (Fatal Fury 2) came out in 1992, so the "inspirations" for her were smaller back then.
