Omaha is where I live and it's pretty neat. Big city but doesn't really feel like it. I've never been to Lincoln, but sounds like it has the positives Alanna said minus the busy Saturdays in Fall. Midwest in general is a great area to live, in my opinion. I'd also recommend Des Moines, IA.

Yeah I've been doing my best to be hype for this since I have fond memories of playing 4 enjoyed playing 7 and 8 immensely. I've never played an Xtreme Legends or Empires game, though. Maybe I'll sit this one out until they release the DW9 version of one of those.

I'm rather disappointed with the DW9 quick look. I'm heavily on the fence in regards to buying it, so I was hoping some footage of the new elements would help me form a decision. Instead, they just run around a battle pushing square and triangle and stating that they are pushing square and triangle without exploring any of the new elements present in the game. I get that Dynasty Warriors is repetitive, but to completely dismiss almost everything else around the game in favor of a bit centered around the already known repetition is useless and if you are just going to basically say "if you like it, you'll like it and if you don't, you won't" why even take the time to make the video? It was a complete dismissal of the game and the series.

As a pet owner, I prefer cats. However, puppies are far more distinguishable than kittens which makes for a far better event. I'd rather have Puppy Bowl with the Kitty Halftime Show.

I don't have issue with the ending so much as I do the execution of it. My opinion is that they should have had Barney and Robin's wedding and the meeting of the mother at the midseason finale and then use the second half of the season to flesh out all the stuff the happened in the final episode.

I prefer the top three pretty easily over the other two. I hold a soft spot in my heart for Popuri because HM64 was my first harvest moon and Popuri was my wife in my first playthrough.

I first saw the bundle while I was at work when the Beat the Average was 5.51 and when I purchased when I got home it had risen to 7.04 I should've bought it while I was on the toilet.

I played the easy mission. I didn't really understand what I was doing and the combat felt very clunky. I'm sure most of this is due to it being my first experience with the game and series in general, but is the combat system deeper than what it appeared to be to a novice such as myself?

I plan on giving the demo a whirl this weekend. I have no idea what to expect because I've never played a Monster Hunter game and know little about them. The concept sounds fun, though.

That "what have we done" tweet from Jeff makes me believe more that PUBG could be the number one game since it bucked the no early access trend and is (supposedly since I haven't played it) buggy as hell but still made enough of an impression to reach GotY status. Or the top 5 conversation was just simply exhaustingly bonkers.

I'll take a Top 10 list stab here:

1. PUBG
2. Super Mario Odyssey
3. Nier
4. Cuphead
5. Breath of the Wild
6. Destiny 2
7. Night in the Woods
8. Wolfenstein II
9. Dream Daddy
10. Nioh

Fringe candidates are Assassin's Creed: Origins, Injustice 2, Hellblade, and most notably Horizon Zero Dawn which starts top 10 and then gets sacrificed.

Jason gets his representative on the list with Nioh

Abby makes a play for Dream Daddy with the support of Vinny

Wolfenstein starts higher on the list but as conversation is had, they drop it for underwhelming gameplay reasons

Night in the Woods is the beneficiary of Wolfenstein's fall with support from Alex and I think somebody else has played it too

Destiny 2 is in danger of not being on the list due to the vicious fall off but Brad and Dan support it enough to land it above the fringe

Each game in the Top 5 is talked about as number one at some point or another.

Breath of the Wild lands at 5 because of Nintendo and Dan SFF factor and Jeff fell off it HARD.

Cuphead is the wildcard. Everyone enjoys it but have games they want to raise up more.

Nier is the source of all angst in the Top 5 conversation proceedings as Alex leads an assault on #1 anchored by Ben.

Dan is more stubborn than he's every been and refuses to let Mario drop below Nier but ultimately concedes to PUBG since he loves it as well

It takes awhile, but everyone comes to terms with allowing a mostly early access game with glaring flaws but a powerful premise and much promise win GOTY.

You can't go wrong. For you I'd probably say Switch because it's very easy to love the game without mods so having the portability is going to be more noticeable.

I will say I've preferred PC controls over console controls though.

Super Mario Odyssey since I don't have a Switch.

I've played and loved Nier and am currently working on Wolfenstein so hopefully I'll be set for GotY stuff, mostly. Haven't gotten through Horizon yet. Maybe after Wolfenstein I'll tackle it again.

I own all three Shadow Hearts games for PS2, but have only played the first one and got not very far. At least I saw the old lady telling her sea monster tale. Give me a new platform to play it on.

I'd say NieR: Automata. I figured it would be Persona 5, which was still great, but NieR really stuck with me.

I've started Horizon Zero Dawn but it failed to keep me engaged, sadly. I've started Pyre and enjoy it but haven't really had the desire to keep at it.

Games like Night in the Woods and Divinity Original Sin 2 are on my radar but I probably won't get to them before the year ends.
