I think CDPR keep the Witcher 3 Steam price deliberately higher in comparable sales. Didn't it launch cheaper on GOG, too?

Honestly I don't mind GOG .exes because I so rarely buy from there that whenever I do it's something I know I want and will play immediately. Adding the .exe to Steam is no big deal like you said, but I usually just throw it on my taskbar.

I have a friend who plays his PS4 all the time but can't stand the Witcher on the system.
He is buying the game again during this sale on the PC becasue he stopped playing on his PS4.

But yes, Steam has a refund system if you have less then 2 hours of gameplay and have owned it under 2 weeks. I've used it a couple times. It's a nice way to demo lol

Are the controls more similar to The Witcher 1 or The Witcher 2? Witcher 1 works quite well with M&KB, but Witcher 2 is terrible that way.

Personally, i prefer a controller, large tv, and couch for games that i plan on playing for an extended period of time with no multitasking. Pc is great and i adore it, especially for games with some down time where i can dick around on the other monitor, or have a twitch stream going in the background.

I tried Witcher 1 and 2, both on pc. Couldn't stand 1. Got a few hours into 2, then dropped it. I wasn't planning on getting Witcher 3, but the recent /noclip docs changed my mind on that front.

In any case, I'm sure my pc would have better graphics and audio, but as long as they're "good enough" on ps4 then that's plenty good for me. It basically comes down to being more convenient to have a controller and be on a couch if it's on ps4.

The framerate on the PS4 was his bugbear. Had enough and quit which is something that he typically doesn't do.

But yeah I hear you with the couch/controller thing. Which is why I play my PC on the 50 inch TV with an Xbox controller. HDMI cables can plug into more then monitors and Steam link's exist <_<
