Well, I faced T. Hawk in Super Street Fighter II and I completely understand. Gah, fighting him fucking sucked. I don't like fighting grabblers in SFII in general, but he was at another level.

Ok, so I can personally attest that this isn't always the case. Definitely did not get the welfare Soren after blowing off Tempest Trials and viewing the ending. I think it only happened when the Tempest Trials involved the overarching story.

Kirby: Star Allies (Switch)

So I started this much earlier in the year, but kind of got side-tracked like usual and put it aside. Well I finally beat it recently.

Honestly, it was better than I was expecting out of it, and I don't think it had much to do with me playing it after all the updates because I only played the Story Mode and I didn't use the Dream Friends all that much.

I can see the complaints with the AI, but they're honestly good enough for solving the puzzles and you cycle through them so often that them occasionally dying shouldn't really matter, and you can still revive them in some cases. That said, the whole ability combining thing did take some getting use to.

And I actually liked how Star Allies toned down the stage collectables (of course the mass puzzle collectables are still there similar to previous Kirby games), so you don't have to be too concerned about missing stuff as you go through the stages.

Also good to see that Plasma is still great for cheese strats.

Well, guess I can finally start on Forgotten Land.

Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth (Xbox One/PC)

The split is from me starting it on Xbox and then with the cloud saves, finishing it on PC.

You know how earlier this year, I said I'd try to beat at least one game a month? Yeah lol, so much for that...

Never watched the anime or read any of the books (which I don't even know how well available those is), but I picked this up since I saw that it was leaving Game Pass soon and it's only a couple hours long, so I decided to give it a go. It's a solid Metroidvania, with some nice mechanics, even if it felt that you could do some cheesing with the regen on HP and MP.

But it's definitely been awhile since I played a Metroidvania, since I had some difficulty beating the attack patterns down with a couple of the bosses. Doubt I'll go for all achievements, since some of them seem like a pain to do and it leaves Game Pass tomorrow.

The only one I can recommend is the Viz Shonen Jump since it's only $2 a month (maybe a little more for CAD) to access a lot of their Shonen Jump stuff, but you're limited to only 100 chapters a day, which should be enough unless you're a hyper binge reader.

Your Crunchyroll subscription should also give you access to their manga, but I don't think their library is all that large, and some of their stuff look to have a limited release window. So it's more of an extra perk to the subscription.

If you want to buy more manga, rightstufanime.com has always been my go-to place to get them. There's even a sale with all of The Demon Girl Next Door manga going on right now, but I think Saturday is the last day for the sale.

Also good for buying light novels since they get lumped together during sales.

Well, I guess that's what they were going for.

To think that you ended up watch BanG Dream due to being my trade partner in SMFAS one year. Not that you couldn't have found out about it on your own since I think you were looking for cute girls doing cute things anime around that time.

But yeah, I think Season 1 of BanG Dream is super underrated. Yeah people write it off because of its derpy animations, but it has the most focused story out of all the seasons because it centers on 1 band. The other 2 seasons split the focus on 3 bands, and there's like 3 different plotlines going on, and it really assumes that you've played the game.

God, that band story was painful to read. Pretty much the whole time I was reading it I was going, "Dammit, Arisa. All of this is happening because you can't let go of your damn ego!"

Actually, Ive seen many people put Sunshine on top overall of all 4 groups. Its very well liked.

And I can still understand people liking Superstar the most if it was season 1 because its still good for the most part.

Season 2 was justugh. And they already announced a season 3 of it.

Well Superstar does bring back the group interactions, but it's super centered on one character.

I'll easily take Niji's way of doing things if it means more distributed focus on the characters.
