Fall 2022 Anime Part 1

Chainsaw Man - This series has a lot of hype and is my kind of series so Ill definitely be watching it at some point.

Spy x Family S2 - Eventually Ill see this too.

Mob Psycho S3 - Hell yeah more Mob.

MHA S6 - Another show Ill watch.

Bleach TYBW - Still cant believe this is really coming back. Still praying the trash ending is altered too, but everything aside from that should be good at least.

Blue Lock - Another soccer show. What makes this series special?

To Your Eternity S2 - I remember people saying S1 was good I think

The Eminence In Shadow - Chuu2 MC gets isekaid and the cult he made up turns out to be real. This sounds funny.

Uzaki-chan S2 - I need to see S1 still

Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun S3 - Id say it must be good to keep getting more, but some really bad shows have gotten multiple seasons too.

Reincarnated As A Sword - As something of a sword myself I feel compelled to check this out.

Urusei Yatsura - Honestly this sounds like very typical cliche stuff to me.

Sadly this got sent over to Studio Drive for S2 and the PVs do not look good. Makes me really worried about the new Konosuba stuff.

I just hope Disney announces what they're doing with Summer Time Rendering soon.

I've basically given up. Wouldn't be the first time someone else has held a license and done nothing with it.

Alternatively they may doing a big censorship pass on it. Disney relaxed a lot of their content limitations they launched with for live action stuff, but it would not surprise me if they have a hard limit on what they will allow for an animated show.

It's aesthetically pretty good, but is painfully generic doesn't represent what the strengths or content of this season will be in the slightest.

Wow honestly...that exceeded my high expectations, and I'm not just saying that for the ending (but lol what an ending).

Hands drawn mechs are obviously a precious resource in this day and age, and the parts that did include drawn over CG were seamless.

The music and characters and setting and visuals...all incredibly on point. Didn't have ant idea what the actual concept of the series would be, completely threw me for a loop, and I can't wait to see how it continues.

The thing that stood out most was the actual character designs. One of the most varied sets of designs I've ever seen in Gundam and not a single one of them is a loser. They even took the tame to make sure all the faceless background nobodies were completely unique, they could justify any of them being an actual character at some point. It does wonders for the immersion.

It was definitely the right call to put that episode 0 out, would have been pretty off to have that as an episode 1 and this as an episode 2.

...And of course that ending...we'll see if they stuck to their guns on it lol.

I have absolutely no complaints. This premier completely blew IBO's out of the water for me, and I do love me some IBO.

It means that once a creator becomes and NFT bro I no longer consider their library of content to have any worth. In execution, this means that even if he made something new I wouldn't read it period. Just my personal stance!

Watched episode 1 of Witch of Mercury. Yeah, no way will that be endgame. Also not a fan of how the Gundam practically pilots itself.

Finished a few more Summer anime. Just Lycoris Recoil, Call of the Night, and Shine Post left

Dropkick on my Devil S3 was surprisingly good! I didn't remember enjoying S1 this much a few years ago, but I watched S2 and then S3 recently and they were awesome. The cast grows with each season, and with that the potential for humor grew too. I really enjoyed how many jokes played with the fourth wall, and Jashin-chan was always a hilarious scumbag.

Prima Doll was very good, but not as good as it could've been. I liked the post-war setting and the robot characters and the tone, which often alternated between funny and heartwarming and sad. It was just missing something in bringing those elements together, I guess. Still easily one of the best anime of this exceedingly crappy season.

Luminous Witches was the best Witches anime by far, but it still wasn't great. It was serviceable as an idol show, but anything to do with the war or witch powers really dragged it down.

The Maid I Hired Recently is Mysterious (still has one episode left but I don't care, I'll talk about it now) was super duper boring. It was the same jokes and situations over and over and over. Both the maid and the boy sucked. The side characters mostly sucked too. Another maid showed up near the end and she was angry and had pointy teeth, she was at least fine I guess.

The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting was terrible, oh my god. Most of the show was trying to be sweet but only felt hollow instead. Then sometimes it got stupidly dark in a way that didn't mesh with the rest of the anime at all. I was counting down the minutes of those last few episodes just waiting for it to be over.

This is the only Summer anime I dropped (should've dropped more) because it was so incredibly dull. It took about 5 minutes for the joke to get old.
