It's one of five or so anime I plan to watch right away once I'm done watching stuff for my ranking topic. The premise sounded fun, so I'm glad to hear that it's good!

Finished up Mieruko-chan and am now onto something called DECA-DENCE. Seems like a good Mad Max sort of version of Knights of Sidonia. I'm cautiously optimistic, because the main character is pretty cool so far.

I think I'm going to wait on Chainsaw Man. I'm watching episode 2, and kinda...hating it. Makina's awesome. The straight laced dude is kinda cool, but Denji is a fucking t*** that won't stop talking about boobs and the other girl is...really annoying after just two scenes. Something tells me those two would slowly kill whatever interest I have for "OOH, look at all the chainsaw blood!"

Maybe someday I'll get the itch to watch it again, but I'll just stick to Spy X Family.

I get having a problem with Denji and Power if you don't know where the series goes.

Chainsaw Man didn't get really popular until a good chunk in so there wasn't an enormous amount of people having to deal with waiting for development one week at a time.

Fair enough. Good to know I'm not alone in thinking that. It's like saying, "Would you like Persona 5 if you had Ryuji as the main character?"

I'd say FUCK NO! So yeah, I'll wait. At least Makima standing there as an obvious lifeline for me to know this show won't suck donkey dick when I feel ready to actually watch it again.

you mean the regular version yes

Most of the good stuff is in the digital version nowadays and ends up performing a lot better, so I don't really consider the print version to be the lead platform anymore.

As I expected (Film Red spoilers) Uta was the primary antagonist in the movie and was using her devil fruit ability to try to enslave the world with music but also oh mans THEY KILLED HER BY THE END what a surprise

I was behind 2 episodes in Mob and boy were those 2 episodes I shouldn't have been behind on. Hot damn was that some quality anime.

I don't think it's my favorite One Piece movie though, but it's certainly the most unique

I think that was my favorite. Great story, fun fanservice, good action. And actually got to see the Red Hair Pirates and Shanks fight a little!

My wife is anime only and didn't even notice it.

I feel like that is probably the most common reaction since it wasn't focused on at all.

Also the credits were a great touch. Though that was the actual confusion/surprise for my wife since there were some cover story developments shown.

If I were to watch Red what should I watch first? (I'm currently like 100 episodes behind in the anime, but I assume based on earlier movies that it's mostly self-contained besides maybe a few lead-in episodes?)
