So from what I can tell, he was originally a god who existed with Heaven, but rose up against the other Elder Gods and was cast down in Netherrealm, which is the series' version of Hell, where he took over as leader of the realm There's also a minor mention somewhere in the lore of him specifically killing Lucifer to take his role as leader of Netherrealm. Also, there's literally "Lucemon: Satan Mode", so if you wanted to be really literal about it... Can't recall what the dub changed Satan Mode's name to, but if you make one in Cyber Sleuth and read the description it says that is literally the Biblical Satan even in the English version (which kept the censored name, but didn't care to censor the flavor text). ...Shame I didn't think to nominate him, but not many people liked the series Lucemon was in.
