The reading and writing in Japanese is difficult, but the speech is not as nuanced as Korean IMO, much less Mandarin. The different tones for what seem like the same words in Mandarin are a daunting task for us non-native learners.

I played the first 15 minutes, died several times in frustration, so I put it down and forgot to play it again... for almost two years. Saw it gathering dust on a shelf and decided to commit. After I played past that 15 minutes, I almost couldnt stop. Lots of fun memories with that game.

Yes, that could very well be true, but it isnt more right or more wrong for someone who is pro-life or pro-choice to be for or against it, which is what TC seems to be implying. They are separate issues. If you tell me youre against the death penalty for prisoners, Im not going to criticize you for not wanting to buy bread and water for them. Maybe that comes from another budget or someone else is supposed to pay for it. But if you want to buy it, then good for them.

Can I also strongly recommend For the King as a difficult, newish turn-based roguelike of sorts?
I like it even more than Darkest Dungeon, and with some bad luck and on higher difficulties it can be almost as difficult as Darkest Dungeon.

Thanks for the heads up. Id never heard of For the King before, so Ill keep an eye out for a sale. Been playing a lot of Slay the Spire, which is really good, and I just got Warsaw. Ive only played about an hour of Warsaw, so Im not sure of it yet, but it reminds me of Darkest Dungeon, sort of.

Haikyu!!
I dont care about volleyball and I care even less about high school boys playing volleyball. This anime is about those two things, yet somehow I still cared whether they won or lost and what each characters story was about. Oh, and it did something no show ever did: it made me root for their opponents too.

Hajime no Ippo
This show has heart and I have never laughed so hard, watching any anime, as I did with some of the scenes. Seriously funny, even though its a drama about boxing.

One Punch Man
I love the fact that this show both glorifies the superhero genre and satirizes it. The premise is absurd, but thats kind of the point. It doesnt hurt that the animation is sleek and the characters are all so damn cool and often funny in design.

Even if we only consider the monetary loss, the cost to US taxpayers was in the trillions, and of course Iraqs economy was fucked as well.

I liked the protagonist and his chemistry with Robert Pattinson was good. Nolans movies swing for the fences, as in they are ambitious and offer his own take on things. But that said, I didnt like the movie much, although I might have not understood everything anyway.

"Itaewon Class" is about an ex con trying to get revenge.

I really liked Itaewon Class.

It was nothing like I thought it would be. Im so used to American revenge stories being about some dude learning Kung fu and having a bajillion guns all blazing. Itaewon is not that. Fair warning: its a drama that relies on decent plot twists and a very likable cast. Oh, it does have romance, but its more of the loving someone from afar kind of deal and not everyone has sex with each other eventually, which you see in some shows. This might not be for everyone, but I thought it was worth the time invested.

Btw, I liked Indivisible, enough to binge it for a week. I didnt know there would be so much platform jumping, but it wasnt so bad, I guess. I suck at that genre, but still finished it. Loved the combat. Once you get a team youre comfortable with and gels together, it gets kind of easy. The end boss was bothersome, though.
