what's the problem?

Some games portray the player character as "you". In other games, the playable character is their own character, and you simply control them during gameplay elements. The second category of games are the ones where guys are more likely to be okay playing female characters.

i think most people pissed off at sjws have just been fleeced.

like, just as an example, theres an old Superman radio drama where he takes on the KKK. And towards the end, the villain, the president of a local kkk branch or whatever, is having some sort of talk with his regional superior. And the superior just trashes on him for drinking his own kool-aid, that he didnt give a fuck about white values except as a way to control and get money from gullible idiots.

and whether thats an accurate representation of the kkk at the time or not, thats what this nonsense SJW culture war smells of. A handful of bad actors convincing gullible idiots that having women and minorities in media is some form of cultural erasure.

granted at this point Im sure its a self-sustaining ideology, but theres money in being an anti-sjw grifter and I think thats the driving force behind a lot of the messaging.

Yeah, there are exceptions for sure, but I agree its not as common TC is implying it to be. However, I wouldnt be surprised if incels do complain that the women in games are not attractive enough or some sexy skin models are banned or toned down.

Have the media restricted so only their narrative can be told (cancel culture, and deplatforming). They want hiring practices to be changed from merit based, to physical characteristics. Also, back on topic, I usually play as the female character in games. No huge reason for it, just seems cooler than a dude doing whatever. Idk why though.

this is 100% the case. You'll have either a handful of people complaining about it, or just trolling to get a reaction, some clickbait article picks it up for hate views, and it gets blown out of proportion.

How many alt right views does one need to adhere to before they are considered alt right? Labelling SJWs as fascists. Complaining about the media and cancel culture. Propping up meritocracy. I like how it's become a rivalry between "sexy women" and "realistic women" when both should be accepted like men are.

If I ahve a choice I usually go for males only. Unless its something like heroes of the storm, then I'll probably play with a female. But I have been playing games with females protaganist. Metroid and tomb raider are the main ones I can think of. I'm not against it, but games like skyrim and cyberpunk i play male for the immersion factor.

The one time I've seen people complain, is when its about Abby and I can see why. Other than that, when have Male gamers ever complained about playing as female characters?

In fact, I think female characters sometimes have a bigger fan following. Look at how huge the fan bases are around Samus, or Bayonetta. Look at 2B or Princess Peach. Chun-Li, Cammy, Asuka Kazuma, Sakura ect.

Female fighters especially get a lot of love.

All arguments relating to the topic always end up as strawman against strawman, so it's hard to tell what actual majority beliefs are at this point. There are definitely cases where someone on the development team has done something worth criticizing and cases where it's a bunch of idiots complaining about fucking nothing, Then both those get jumbled up in the larger argument to create even more vitriol.
