I feel like every Peach Momoko has been real money correct me if I'm wrong

I think in sports playing under pressure is an actual skill and playoffs measure that way better than just season stats

It's not a "better" measure of the best team but I do think there's more merit to it than given credit. It's not ALL about drama. Just mostly.

He's not in FF4 very much but he makes the most of it. Super charismatic and fun. I actually like his sacrifice scene too.

I hate that he makes Agrias pointless and how broken he is for how little effort. As a character he's not offensive and has a decent design going for him. But man his gameplay irritates me a lot.

Hit monkey isn't even a problem. That cost bump to 3 made a big difference he's pretty fair now

Dancers even limited to chapter 4 should be nowhere near the discussion of a bad class. So they take a bit to kill stuff boo hoo. Crippling stats and random status ailments are good.

Peak Cartman is probably more evil but I think his inconsistency hurts him

I guess to me the difference is I don't think Kefka would destroy the world outright if he had the option to (World of Ruin is just a rearranging that makes everyone miserable-- Kefka likey that) whereas Kuja and Seymour (and X-Death!) definitely would.

When Kefka says stuff like "I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate you!" imo childish is sorta what they're going for.

It's not quite "childish" strictly speaking but like... I'm pretty sure Kefka is less ego and more "I hate stuff like love and hope." Power is his way to get rid of stuff other people like-- less about propping himself up more about tearing others down if that makes sense. I don't really associate him with ego at all.

His villainous qualities not his motivations or how he gets there. Like "why is this dude a bad scary dude"

Like I think Golbez and X-Death give off similar vibes in that regard too but they're also very different characters.

I will say I don't think Seymour is like Kuja derivative or anything. They are definitely very different characters that's not what I meant when I said that

I always thought Kuja was meant to primarily come off as a creepy nihilist and I thought Seymour was way better at both aspects of that.

Maybe that's just me misreading the character. I dunno. I just know to me Seymour has everything I like about Kuja but better-- and sure maybe Kuja does some other stuff but not anything I personally find appealing.

As someone who thought Banjo Kazooie had too much in the way of collection elements... yeah... atrocious is generous.

I wish he was relevant for more than the first bit of the game but he's awesome when he's there. I feel like FF never having a villain like this as the big bad is a major missed opportunity. Not that I'm complaining about Sephiroth of course but like imagine the plot of say FFVIII or FFXIII with a Rufus Shinra type character as the main villain it would really work.

Shocked to be one of the highest Balthier ratings so far despite my lukewarm like I guess other people soured on him over time too

Everything I could want from an RPG character. Fun personality (even early I think whiny Tidus is hilarious) and meaningful character development that doesn't ruin the appeal the character had to begin with nor feel forced.

Balthier - 7
People call him "FFXII Han Solo" and I mean I guess I can see it but I think he mostly stands out to the level where that praise makes sense because the cast of FFXII is so boring. I dunno. The more I reflect on Balthier the more I realize he didn't wow me much and he just had more flair then a bunch of super serious people (I do like Basch and Ashe a bit mind you). In a more lively cast he stands out less.

I do think they lean towards overpowered to push sales but I think they're aggressive with nerfs to fix them so I'm not really concerned.

Amusingly Loki doesn't feel overpowered at all anymore with Mobius. I imagine Elsa will be nerfed to +2 at some point which I think will be fair. I really don't think Black Knight is a problem and the idea that he is thought to be is totally weird to me. Most of the past few new cards haven't needed nerfs so yeah seems like a weird time to get on this soapbox for me.

The "problems" are relative to whatever the situation is

In this case the "problem" is "why does no one else realize Allen sucked at running the site" and you're all trying to convince me that it's taboo to speak of the site admin in a negative way because he just quit a job he was paid for and that I'm being such a huge jerk for bringing up issues NOW. That I used to be a nice person and some trauma happened and I'm an ass now so nothing I can say could possibly be right I'm just being devil's advocate. Go Google it and read examples with an open mind.

Trust me I know what it is. You all can redefine it so you can pretend you dont do it in arguments all the time here. I've been here longer than most of you and I'm completely within my rights to be upset that Allen is being praised here because I do like this site for whatever reason and I wish we had a motivated admin to keep it relevant.

It's manipulative for sure-- doesnt work because I dont give a crap about what any of you who are trying to do it think about me other than like Leon who I do actually respect and am annoyed he's acting like this. I'm not doing anything wrong aside from saying something people disagree with. I've said nothing bad about Allen as a human being, just pointed out myriad mistakes that were made while he was running the site. And all you can say is "well we don't know what he tried" and you're right we don't. But we do know what he did try and when/how he tried it. So don't say you know I'm wrong and don't say I shouldn't say it.

And that'll be the end for me. You can get it the rest of the way to 500 by yourselves. Go get your circle and sing about all the good things about Allen. Then repeat the same thing like 150 times because you can't actually name enough stuff to fill the topic.

1. Allen objectively sucked (the site is dying when it was once thriving, he ran the site) at running this site and that should be out there regardless of whether it's a popular opinion
2. People are trying to say I should stop talking because it's not a popular opinion-- this is me telling people to fuck off with that way of thinking. Go to reddit where you can just downvote stuff you don't like into non-existence. This is not a funeral and I'm not going to have assholes gaslight me because they don't agree with me.

It is actually not a sign either way despite how witty you think you are. The fact that you think it's a sign of the merits for or against an argument shows you don't actually consider points in arguments and just side for the attitude you prefer much like most people here

I'm right because the facts agree with me. Me saying I'm right is completely irrelevant either way.

I think if people just said "I disagree but I can see why you'd think that" or "I disagree but you do you" or even just "I disagree" and not "you're saying this but blah blah blah *makes up some terrible counter argument to try and say I'm wrong or claim I'm saying something I never said*" I would have left it as is.

The fact is I AM right or Allen got a ton of money to basically do nothing and it was not his job to manage the site and he was just a figurehead. Either way Allen is not worth being sad over. The site, sure.

Palpatine would (and has) killed close allies (his story starts by murdering his master Plagueis)

Davros if encountered with a rogue Dalek who wants to stop him does he kill it without a thought or does he show some difficulty or remorse in coming to that.

Davros's twisted worldview being one of world peace shows that there is likely more good in him than Palpatine for me.

I disagree entirely because as said it is not a funeral. If you all want to be sad great but it's not an event where it is offensively disrespectful not to be.

I do agree that Palpatine wouldn't want to exterminate everything like Davros but I do feel he comes off as more evil than Davros and kills plenty enough (probably quadrillions minimum with various Death Star incarnations alone) that if he felt total destruction of as many as the Daleks try to exterminate was the way to acheive his goals he'd do so without a second thought. If you told me there exists a hypothetical Dr Who storyline where Davros is somehow convinced that extermination isn't the answer and that there is a good use for non-Dalek, I would believe it.

Wikipedia (in an episode I have not seen yet as Im still in Matt Smith episodes, so feel free to correct context here) also supports this theory.

The Doctor then discovers the Daleks have a concept of mercy and are allowed to have the word in their vocabulary when he encounters Clara, having disguised herself in a Dalek's robotic chassis. The Doctor and Clara escape, the former having an epiphany as to how Davros somehow put a sliver of compassion into the Daleks

Davros is basically a Nazi (where any non Dalek should be genocided) in a way but I do think he there is potential for him to be reasoned with. He shows some human qualities and has a weird sense of honor about him too imo-- I don't feel he would betray a close ally for example where again Palpatine would without a second thought.
