I was so hyped for AEW the first year. It seemed awesome. Great matches and a bunch of new fresh characters and story style.

Didn't really get to watch anymore had some life changes and there hasn't been time/drive to watch.

Now it's like I'm kinda interested to watch Wrestlemania but AEW sounds like more effort than it's worth. Probably not being a fan of Jungle Boy (Luchasaurus was the star of that group) and The Young Bucks doesn't help. (And the funny thing is I've always been in the "Punk is an asshole camp" but it feels like he was probably a justified asshole the more that comes out about this)

It's funny so many are putting Starcraft > Halo as a huge upset

This was before I joined the board but I had Starcraft winning there and confidently. Master Chief in 2003 made me think Halo was gonna be junk on this site.

Of course I had Kingdom Hearts beating it in round 2 BUT yeah. Starcraft beating Windwaker was always the "inconceivable!" moment to me

As a lapsed wrestling fan I'd be a lot more likely to just check out WWE at the moment. Lot of bad word of mouth surrounding AEW at the moment which does matter-- not so much for fan retention but getting new and returning fans absolutely.

It almost seems embarrassing to be an AEW fan right now when it used to be something to be proud about.

I don't even remember the middle of this case being good. I'm wondering if that's because it's so drawn out late I forgot or that it wasn't that good to me to begin with. Like I associate 1-5 with drawn out but some great moments and it's worth it, this one is just super long without particularly bad stuff, but no highs to lift it.

I probably rate this case better if you cut case 2 out of the game-- I'd be less fatigued.

I think my biggest problem with this case it it heavily entrenches Kay Faraday into the lore of Ace Attorney and that's just not really what I wanted for her character. She herself isn't involved all that much but I dunno it just felt like a story was being told to make her more relevant and forget caring about consistency of Edgeworth's character and all that stuff (or even why nothing from here really comes up before this game)

Callisto Yew was annoying and Tyrell Badd existed but yeah I dunno I just remember this case annoying me-- I think a lot is I have no patience for flashback stuff.

It is the most playable of the stuff I have down here, it's not super boring or obnoxious. I think I mostly just don't like what it's trying to do.

I think Heath Ledger Joker is a very specific interpretation of Joker that is Joker adjacent enough that it feels very Joker but is distinct enough to be "from the movie." On the flip side I would call Mark Hamill a great performance of Joker but closer to what a standard Joker from the comics looks like

I decided to download all assets today because I heard that can help and everything does seem to be running smoother. My menus were even pretty slow before the update but they seem better after downloading assets.

That might explain what the real issue is on my end. I had to reinstall the game recently due to troubleshooting a connection bug so maybe that's the issue. I'll download them and see if that works thanks.

I used to do my own taxes and had no issue.

Now I'm self employed and travel a lot for work and sell a lot of products so I pretty much have to itemize

I just hire people to do it.

Still hate tax season cause being self employed means I pay a lot and also getting the paperwork together for the people to do it still ends up being a lot of work.

Ever since last patch the game crashes randomly for me so that's not great.

My phone is a Galaxy s20-- not super new but a pretty decent model. It's got no problems running everything else I've tried on it.

I thought Austin had a lot of good places to eat but I basically only search for gluten friendly which probably gives me a totally different set of stuff than most people get when looking for places to eat

Honestly I said "the first case might be my favorite in the game" and yeah now that I'm digging into my memory of these cases it is. (Because this is the second best case)

I just figured you'd think I'd actually like her cause of Yuffie vibes. And I mean I kinda do like her in this case but then she sticks around.

I don't hate her but she's not really got good Edgeworth energy imo. I'd rather boss around Gumshoe the whole time.

If Edgeworth must have a teenage girl sidekick Ema Skye is the clear choice imo.

I remember enjoying this one too actually if just a bit. Think maybe liking the introduction of Kay (she's best here because I feel like she wears out her welcome as the game goes on-- I think I agree the game would be better overall without her, probably to the shock of some people) and finding Lang enjoyable carried this one for me. I can't beam about it because this one is only slightly more memorable than the airplane one and it's still long but it hit some good notes.

This one drags and is really unmemorable. Like I remembered it with the summary but when I first clicked the topic I was like "what the heck is Edgeworth Case 2" which I can't say happened with any other case in this series thus far.

Mafia is definitely an RPG and a Fighting game

So I agree they're distinct and I think SF2 Turbo is a better pick for the SNES (specifically, the SNES-- SF2 vanilla feels more like an arcade rushmore entrant) rushmore but I also would rather my vote be grouped with SF2 if it's going to be the barrier for one getting in. I don't think this matters as I think if all the SF games are grouped they still don't get in but yeah.

I also think Pokemon Yellow shouldn't really be grouped with R/B but that's another tangent.

A normal console I'd agree I just hold the SNES library in really high esteem. Lot of great stuff there to the point where the obligatory bundle in pick is kinda selling the console short imo. Is it a bad pick? No. But I absolutely don't think it should be considered obligatory

I also think Donkey Kong Country basically fits the role SMW does if you're going for play rate and notoriety. Yes it sold less but I feel like it not being a bundle in and releasing 2/3s the way through the SNES life makes its sales more impressive.

(And I do not like the DKC games)

I think Mario World is a good candidate because I feel like it's instantly associated with the SNES. If you ask someone to name a SNES game, World is going to be the first a lot of people think of. Like it didn't do anything revolutionary (other than introduce Yoshi, I guess), but I think it's almost ubiquitous with the console, kind of in the way Mario 64 is with the N64.

I'm not really going to complain about its inclusion. LOT of picks for Link to the Past and that one I really don't get. I mean I like Link to the Past plenty, my favorite Zelda game, but yeah

I think this will be the first console Rushmore where I'm largely disagreeing with the picks but maybe it's closer than I think and it'll fall in my favor (SMW excepted obviously but I knew I was fighting a losing battle there)

I actually liked this case and it might be my favorite in the game. I think because it's shorter than the other cases. AAI1 to me is mostly not bad everything just drags on to the point where I start to lose interest.

No SMW isn't really meant to be an edgy pick I more just think SNES is that stacked. 3/4 of the picks I have arguably created genres. DKC in a way created hype for next generation graphics in a way no game before it did and created a franchise.

SMW is basically just that well regarded release title for the SNES with a flagship Nintendo character which on most consoles would be enough but imo on SNES it isn't. It does nothing that SMB3 didn't already do really.

I could have maybe forgiven that one if X-Pac helped both factions for ultimate ridiculousness but we couldn't even get that.

First 3 feel like gimmes. Not really show where to go with the 4th-- thinking creating the Mario Spinoff genre (kinda feel like all the Mario Party and sports stuff traces back to Mario Party) is notable.

Salt and to a lesser extent Mr and Mrs Smith are actually good so they don't blend for me

Yeah I unironically and at my best attempt to be unbiased think DMC3 is a better choice than GoW on this console even if GoW is the much bigger franchise overall. I think DMC3 just did more for proof of concept of the genre in like the mechanics.

I mean I don't love 2-2 but it's playable for me

If Apollo Justice went 4-3 -> 4-1 -> 4-2 I probably would have got through it

JFA might be my favorite game in the series but that's probably because if we could scale things properly I'd probably put 2-4 at like a 15 and 1-5 at second place at 10.
