It still tells me that it has a virus. But when I bypass the scan by clicking and dragging, and then run an independent scan, it says that no viruses are found. I'm convinced that's an issue on my end, but I wonder what's triggering it.

Hulk sucks as a character.

Does he have a brain? Can he talk and articulate? Then he's not "the Hulk." Does he grunt and roar and talk like a caveman? Then he isn't entertaining as a character.

Maybe, if they called him Incredible Hulk, that would allow flexibility. When they shorten it to "the Hulk," they're basically calling him a slab of muscle with no brains. Hulk Hogan can have a brain. (Can, not necessarily does.) She-Hulk has a brain. "Hulk" is a lump of green flesh.

I don't know why they shy away from Incredible Hulk. Maybe it's so that he doesn't bounce up against the Incredibles in teh naming department. Either way, just calling him "Hulk" is underwhelming and sets low expectations for his worth as a character.

I'm curious if Nintendo is legally able to re-release the original unmodified. Those Woolseyisms may warrant royalties. If they have to do an overhaul of the game's dialogue, they might be better off just to update the game and re-release it.

Also, do re-releases have to go through a new ESRB review? If so, Valentina's boob jiggle would be enough to give the original a T for Teen rating. What isn't being ruined by capitalism or fascism is being ruined by "Won't somebody think of the children?" types.

Foot kink these days is more of a meme than anything anyway. Social media will make you think everyone is obsessed with feet

It's not the foot kink that bugs me. I just don't like her hair.

Feet are something I'm indifferent about. They don't appeal to me. They don't disgust me. I was actually mildly annoyed when Frozen 2 took away Elsa's open-toed shoes. They do nothing for me, but it feels a bit like stealing a crumb from a mouse.

Or maybe, just maybe, they're still children, and people are smart enough to realize that word encompasses a large age group of varying levels of development, instead of getting hung up on the word itself.

Absolutely bizarre thing to get hung up on and insist on having the last word about, but this type of pedantry is par for the course for you.

I dislike infantilization.

When people speak socially or politically of teenagers as children, they mean they're elementary school students who are a little taller. We need to protect their impressionable young minds from bad words and bad imagery.

Nobody is disputing that people mature as they go. Theyre just stating that in most capacities a 16 year old is seen as a child, and theyre absolutely right.

It was a very frustrating truth for me, when I was 16, as I was working full time and living alone and financially independent, but in many ways seen as a child. But frustrating or not, its still the truth.

If teen years aren't the transition, what is?

Like I said, you don't go to bed one night with the mental maturity of a child and wake up the next morning as an adult. Should we consider 17 a child and 18 thru 23 to be transitional? If you're attracted to a 20-year-old, you're attracted to someone who is a half-step up from being a child?

If you're worried about semantics, I would argue "youth" is a good term for a teen. It's a reminder that they have a long way to go, and that they're not to be sexualized or pursued romantically by adult-adults, but it still doesn't infantilize them by placing them in the same category as a 7-year-old.

You need to know how to walk away and not try to get the last word

It's not about getting the last word. It's that teens are objectively more developed that children. If you want to talk about sexual matters, it's fair to say that they're all minors and leave it at that. In terms of everything else, a 17-year-old is going to handle complex issues, violent content, difficult choices, the responsibility of driving, choices over whether to adhere to social structures or rebel against them, and everything else with closer proximity to an adult than, say, an 8-year-old or a 12-year-old.

Neither do most 13 year olds. That's why we don't listen to them and use more objective metrics of adulthood.

That's a fair counterargument. Yes, I would say that a 13-year-old is still a child. But 17 is still further along in development. If 17 is a child, then Zendaya is a groomer and we should be calling for her cancellation.

BRUH that does not make you sound any better

Transitional stages are a thing. It's like saying that a cocoon stage is part of the caterpillar stage of life. You're learning things, you're physically and mentally maturing, you're finding new interests and new freedoms.

It's not all about sexuality.

It isn't,
Option A) Every young person is a child.
Option B) I want to fuck kids.

You didn't see yourself as a child when you were 17. You look back on where you were at that stage of life and retroactively consider your younger self a child because you're old now and you only remember the mistakes you made or the things you didn't realize you didn't know at the time.

Don't infantilize others because youth has passed you by.
