He did eventually get mouthful titles with the special edition re-releases. Star Wars Episode 1: A New Hope Special Edition, etc. |

| FortuneCookie 11/12/23 2:07:52 PM #1 | He obviously won't be Kid Link -- unless they pull an Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and have him be a kid for the first 13 minutes of the film. Will they cast a blond-haired white guy to play him? Or will he be multicultural so that he can have almond eyes? Or will they have an actor of Japanese descent wearing a blond wig? Keep in mind, he is an elf. They don't exactly have a defined ethnicity. Link's blond hair is his signature look, but Legend of Zelda is a Japanese property and I feel that Hollywood would be a little reluctant to cast a white guy in the role. They had Chris Pratt as Mario, but that was animated. It doesn't really matter to me -- so much as I can still y'know to the twenty-something Hero of Time. (Hey, at least I'm consistent across gender lines.) I'm just curious which route they'll take. I hope they don't go for some kind of Kevin Costner -- "This ain't no prissy hero in green tights" -- look where Link wears various shades of brown or black. https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/3/35f65670.jpg I don't know what would be worse: that, or an emo Cloud Strife variant of Link. This is another way that officials gerrymander, by putting a bunch of prisoners into districts to help pump up numbers, despite their inability to vote, not to mention actually receiving any the benefits that a member of Congress gives them. They don't benefit from anything Congress brings to a district. If you can't vote, you shouldn't count toward then number of potential voters. This is some 3/5ths compromise bullshit. Except here, they still count as a whole person despite not having a voice in the election. |

There's actually a mention in the credits that the footage of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was authorized by his estate. I wonder if they were told upfront that the good reverend-doctor was going to be revealed in-movie to have been assassinated under orders from the Red Skull. Somehow, I get the feeling the context of his inclusion was not made clear to them. <_< |

Mallow actually fits the Mario universe better, but Geno has a subtle cool factor to him that makes him the dark horse favorite of the game. Some iconic enemies like Shyguys became part of later games. It came out in Japan in 1992 under the title Super Mario USA. That's still a few years after Super Mario Bros. 3. The protagonist wore armor similar to Master Chief and one of the enemy monsters was a fanged, quadrupedal creature that would tackle and dry-hump the protagonist. Its name in-game was Mr. Friendly. I remarked to the person I was playing the game with that modern games would never include rape humor. The name Mr. Friendly sounds familiar, but I've never bothered to Google it and see where it actually comes from. |
