They'll purchase unlicensed guns so that they have them. You're kidding yourself if you think they'll grumble and give them up. You could remove alcohol and marijuana from the US easier than guns. |

I'm not saying I agree with anything Alex Jones stands for, but gun owners in America will not relinquish them. I've seen him wrestle Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Ric Flair, William Regal, Tiger Mask, Big Van Vader, and some wrestlers whose names I don't know offhand. I've probably only seen a dozen or so matches of his. I watched a documentary on him and I've heard all of the stories about him and Muhammad Ali or how Bruno Sammartino disliked him. Even so, I mostly know him as the direct inspiration for Fighter Hayabusa in the NES game Pro Wrestling. He was a legend of pro wrestling. There's no doubt about that. I'm sad to read about his passing and I'm sorry I didn't have a better picture of his overall career. The enzuigiri or "back brain kick" is one of the most bad ass moves in professional wrestling. |

Not that it means anything but AEW (who has a great relationship with WB/Turner) films one of its smaller programs at Universal Studios, so I'm sure there's some existing good will between WB and Universal. They have had a joint partnership since 2020. Even before then, Warner Bros. properties such as Harry Potter have shown up at Universal theme parks. But a full on merger is not something I'd like to see. <_< |

If you're a filmmaker who burns their bridge with Universal Bros., Disney owns you. You don't really have a third option to speak of unless you want to go independent. And Universal content is different from Warner Bros. content. Universal has always been about horror, science fiction, fantasy, adventure, etc. Warner Bros. has always been about crime, drama, and the dark underbelly of society. I don't want to see a dinosaur movie cancelled to make room for another brooding comic book superhero movie. I have a relative who is roommates with someone who works for Universal and that's my source. I'm hoping that the roommate is just stirring the pot and spreading rumors and that this isn't something that could actually happen. "The reboot of Jurassic Park is going to be much closer to the novel." "We're not doing Jurassic Park. We're doing Joker." It was 120 minutes long AND hand colored, which is insane for a movie from 1908. It was also meant to be shown with live actors. It was too ambitious and a financial disaster since it SOLD OUT all shows yet still LOST MONEY. Speaking of The Wizard of Oz, there's also the jitterbug scene. It was cut because the jitterbug dance had just been invented and the producers didn't want the movie to become dated. There's still a line of dialogue in the finished film where the Wicked Witch says she's sent an insect ahead to take some of the fight out of Dorothy and her friends. |
