Yes, I'm counting Michelle as a film representation of Mary Jane Watson. That's why they call her MJ. It's like Bowser / King Koopa from Mario or Bluto / Brutus from Popeye. Since X-Men already has one Black woman in Storm, I could see them casting a biracial actress to play Rogue. I'm sure comic fans could answer this for me, but is there a charming, good-looking, middle-aged, blond-haired villain? I kinda feel like a character like that could exist -- like if Batman felt he needed his own Lex Luthor. But I can't personally think of anyone. I really can't see him playing a superhero. |

As a four year old going to EPCOT, I wondered who the two other birds with Donald were. Having finally seen this film more than three decades later, I'm still not sure I know the answer. Taking someone who can't fight and speeding up the footage doesn't make people look like they have faster reflexes. It just looks like someone has their finger on the fast-forward button. You're literally fast-forwarding through the parts of the movie I came to see. |

It's a shame that she was written to be a Mary Sue. But the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced the series was intentionally sabotaged. I watched an episode by episode review from a guy named Phelous and there's no way the poor decisions could have been accidents. After the pilot, they started piping in random noises like goats and bicycle horns for no reason. The live action TMNT/Power Rangers crossover was a better representation of the IP. |

Si and Am aren't anywhere near as bad as Bugs Bunny wearing blackface or Mickey Mouse dressing up as a rabbi. But the fact remains that the characters exist as an accusatory misrepresentation of another culture. |
