I get what you're saying, but that's literally how primaries work.

In 2008, Hillary literally brought up Louis Farrakhan and said Obama should have denounced him sooner, compared Obama to Dubya, and basically called him soft on terrorists...which for that last one in particular if you'll recall, was a common accusation from Republicans his entire presidency.

Hillary also halfway threatened to assassinate him and made a LOT of racist comments in 2008. Let's not sweep aside her "CP time" line or the claim Obama should have been fetching coffee. She's a disgusting human being.

This is the same woman who calls black men super predators who need to be brought to heel. Bernie was chill as fuck and was an A+ candidate, and it's a shame he was dicked over so badly.

Fact: DACA parents are given amnesty. Let's not pretend scumbags weren't coming here, having kids, and side stepping the immigration laws that way. They're exceptions to be sure, but it was happening.

I've always found it weird how a lot of conservatives don't view America's rights/protections as an actual good thing but rather as a weird form of wealth. As in, they're not valuable in-and-of themselves; they're valuable because you have rights and someone else doesn't. It leads to weirdness like this, as well as the nonsense where the Constitution is only good as long as it's helping Americans and as soon as it helps an illegal immigrant it's a bad thing. Like it would lose all its virtue if it was applied to the world, because it's not a statement on human rights, it's just a way of institutionalizing better treatment for "us" as compared to "them".

Trump is starting to sound like a Batman villain

"Congress, you are on a clock. Six months, and all these children and adults... get fucked. Tick tock!"

It's also weird that he goes and undermines himself by implying he would "revisit" if congress wasn't able to beat the deadline. He just wants everyone to like him, I think.

The problem is that he's playing games with real human lives

As a kid, there was this whole debacle where the local government was deciding what to do with all the special needs kids. Our city was debating removing all money from special needs programs. they ended up doing it, and putting those kids on a shuttle to another town every day, breaking up siblings and inconveniencing parents

The fear and uncertainty during their debate period was ridiculous, and that was over something comparatively minor. Can't imagine how these next months are going to be for those children, even in the best case scenario

This will be a formative experience for them
